Fabulous new parka by Aigle that I spotted in the store window yesterday.

How much? Shock

Bonsoir · 11/08/2012 18:40

Don't know why my link won't work! Anyway, it's called Brokfield.

EUR 230 in France.

Your link does work.

Bonsoir · 11/08/2012 18:42

How weird - it doesn't for me!

HarrietSchulenberg · 11/08/2012 18:49

Not convinced that 230 euros is good value for something to drag on for school run. But I have been known to leave the house at 8.45 wearing ds1's coat by accident, leaving him to wear mine.

Bonsoir · 11/08/2012 18:51

It's a lot prettier than the Boden Parka and much the same price.

OP posts:
mindosa · 12/08/2012 00:03

Well anything is better value/more stylish than Boden. Nice coat and you know not a bad price for something you might wear day in day out for a couple of years

HerRoyalNotness · 12/08/2012 01:26

Oooh nice, I can't go past a good coat! Looks much sturdier than the northface number I bought last year

Bonsoir · 12/08/2012 07:10

I haven't inspected it in the shop (will do), only in the window, but it looked very well finished.

Niceupthedance · 12/08/2012 08:11

This looks ideal, thanks.

MrsCampbellBlack · 12/08/2012 08:14

I think it looks really nice and its worth spending on practical but stylish stuff you wear lots.

Pooka · 12/08/2012 08:20

I love aigle. Have the most amazing quilted long coat in soft grey. Could make me look like Nellie the elephant, but it is incredibly warm and waterproof.

Love the parka. But alread have very practical raincoat, alas.

Loveleopardprint · 12/08/2012 08:25

Any recommendations for coat in size 18?
I really could look like Nelly the elephant if not careful!!!Grin

pinkyp · 12/08/2012 08:32

I really like it

wordfactory · 12/08/2012 08:52

Me likey.

The only thing is the coulour. I'd be looking for something darker than that as I have dogs and am spectacularly messy myself.

Have been inItaly this last three weeks and had to prize myself away from all the white and cream coats as a. I don't live in Rome and b. see above comment re messiness.

Niceupthedance · 12/08/2012 09:14

They only deliver to France :(

Bonsoir · 12/08/2012 11:19

Don't worry, Aigle has loads of distributors in the UK - you'll definitely find it somewhere!

Bonsoir your next challenge is to find the new version of the navy Ailge cuckmere coat! Apparently its coming.....and i want to snap it up before it sells out in my size! Please Grin

wordfactory · 12/08/2012 12:41

Navy..rubs hands together...navy works for me.

Bonsoir · 12/08/2012 17:02

The Cuckmere is here in black and white, but no navy yet!

OP posts:
NotMostPeople · 12/08/2012 17:06

Do you think it's waterproof? Id like a waterproof parka for dog walking but I really mean proper parka styling not an anorak.

chocolateshoes · 12/08/2012 17:14

that coat is beautiful but I really can't afford it. Please find me something equally delicious at half the price!!! Wink

Decameron · 12/08/2012 17:24

I like that, Bonsoir, good spot. I bought the Cuckmere last year and it has been worth every penny.
