Haha amber just read your post as said track played in living room.

You are funny.

This is getting WAAAYYY too complicated for me. Will rely on checking back when things have calmed down and the way is clear.

CHOOGIRL · 16/08/2012 23:05

I've had my first deleted post - how come?

girlsofsummer · 16/08/2012 23:11

eh what? No idea cant keep up...

girlsofsummer · 16/08/2012 23:11

Message MN and ask - they usually respond pretty quickly

trixymalixy · 16/08/2012 23:16

I think it was the link to the blog choogirl? Not sure why though.

rufus101 · 16/08/2012 23:38

Gosh! Was that my fault Choo for asking for a link?
Bugger anyway as I missed it.
Can someone PM it?
Thank God it's Friday tomorrow. Weather bloody awful here. Rain, wind, but hey, I'm still in sandals. Not givin' up till September.
I'm loving all the delurkers tonight. (spreading the love)
Amber "now I ain't sayin'....."

NanAstley · 16/08/2012 23:40

I used to be a regular poster on the W&A thread a while back (I am FB friends with a few of you under my MN name). I stopped posting due to several reasons, mostly because real-life issues took a lot of my time and reading/posting became was the something that had to give.

But even though I didn't post, I have been lurking religiously for the links. After I emerged from post-dd2 haze, your links have been invaluable for me to regain my fashion mojo. To be completely honest, I rely more on you girls for fashion trends than on any fashion mag or style blog.

You will be so so sorely missed if you leave Sad. But I understand why you feel the need to. I will miss your links very very much (and am under no illusion that you will return just to post links...when you leave, you will ultimately leave totally, anything else will be too complicated for you)

CHOOGIRL · 16/08/2012 23:44

Rufus The post was reported. Didn't think there would be a problem posting it, as you asked. No worries, have PM'd you.

MarshaBrady · 16/08/2012 23:46

Hi Nan nice to see you again. A lovely post, and Nelsons too.

Dh is watching a violent foreign movie have to go on here not to look at bad bits.

trixymalixy · 16/08/2012 23:47

I wonder if it was more the pointing out who was who on the blog, rather than the actual blog link?

CHOOGIRL · 16/08/2012 23:52

Nice to see you again Nan I often wonder what happened to posters. Does anyone remember Roma? She was lovely and stylish. I used to love her links.

rufus101 · 17/08/2012 00:07

Yes. I remember you Nan
Thanks Choo.
Ok. Go. To. Bed. Rufus.

VerityBrulee · 17/08/2012 00:21

Greetings from the remotest spot in Ireland, I have had to borrow ds1's iphone as he is the only one with coverage. Thought I'd catch up before bed, never imagined all that has been going on!

So sorry to hear that red and ollie have been upset by lurkers. I totally understand how upsetting it is when people do this, so horrible and unnecessary. I also see why you would want to go underground. You know I am on WornOut, but I have been here since the very first thread and was friends with ltec since I bought her Bayswater long before W&A! She felt forced to leave the thread which was awful as she was such a fundamental part of W&A. It is such an unpleasant thing to happen. I am very attached to MN for various reasons and would hate not to post here, but I wanted to keep up my friendship with cake and others who left the thread at that time. I have felt a bit odd at times having a foot in both camps as it were. I am a bit of a Pollyanna in that I just want everyone to get along, but life's not like that it seems.

We all came here because of our love of clothes and it's natural that shared interests lead to chat about other things we love, and you feel amongst friends which is great isn't it? I think that the philosophy of the thread has always been 'the more the merrier' and it's a shame to have that spoiled. We all love the links and the chat.

I actually feel really sad about this, that something that started as a bit if fun and evolved into a really positive experience for lots of us will be ruined by people who should just mind their own business. Not that people shouldn't lurk of course that will always happen, but to use that information against someone is pretty low behaviour IMO.

I hope I'm not being too sentimental, if so I can blame it on the holiday fizz in the morning!

blue2711 · 17/08/2012 00:50

Wow, just in from night out, so much action tonight! Lots of lovely hellos from de-lurkers, hello back to you all. Wore grey baxters, neon pink heels, white lace short sleeve blouse tucked in and cobalt Gracie as clutch. (loving her without strap but can't get on with the leather strap at all, feels too prissy somehow, must buy chain).

Gorgeous grey Zara cardigan ollie.

mim I am struggling with DS too and shouting too much then hating myself. He just seems so naughty right now but I think it's me being tired and having too high expectations as well. Feel quite despondent actually.

Can hardly keep up and am getting confused. Great post by verity (love WO btw) and I agree with her; it just feels so sad Sad.

Sorry for miserable post and no links either [slumps to bottom of lurker list]

alwaysrunninginheels · 17/08/2012 06:08

blue just link your shoes for me to enjoy! The weather hasn't been such that the pink Zara boots have made it out of my wardrobe yet!!!! My recent shoe bargains have been these which i have wanted for ages and are now on sale and these beauties inspired by worn EL!!!!
Am sitting in conservatory listening to the rain with a mug of tea trying to fully catch up on what I missed last night. Thanks for the summations.....will try to read the long version.....although I think the DC sense I am up!!! Darn!!

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 07:28

It makes me really, really cross, actually, that something which has such positive roots is being turned sour by prying eyes, and like verity, I don't mean lurkers, but the people who are taking information from this thread and using it against it's members. In a way if makes me feel even more defiant that this lovely thread shouldn't be uprooted by narrow minds and sticky beaks.

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2012 07:41

Well I see more drama, so early in the morning. So I feel forced to post the rather dull mundane reality of a chance meeting due to someone tagging along to a baby group six years ago. I detest these mn/rl things on here. People watch on and gossiping.

I think in a rare case where you don't know this person from adam but find yourself invited onto a thread many years later you can avoid or identify yourself. I did both. I avoided and tried to leave many times, but people asked where I was repeatedly and then I liked some of the other posters so decided to put enough information on the thread to be identified. Early on, which worked. Posting continued.

That's it. If anyone want's to know more like I say pm. I am all for privacy and keeping these rl/mn separate. But a chat about baby nappies and dummies with someone else's antenatal group years ago is fairly innocuous.

Oh that note, I still understand Ollie and Red's dilemma and have every sympathy.

always I was thinking of getting those snakeskins! Gorgeous and a great price. Are they lovely in RL and do you think they could work in winter with black opaques as well as summer? Enable me please!

Feel bit cheerier this morning, thankfully. A pretty much free day (plus baby of course), hmm, what to do?

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 08:13

Oh, have just taken delivery of some Hush harem pants and I must say I'm impressed! Very comfy and, dare I say it, flattering. Just for travelling and low key days I hasten to add, but very nice. Might splash out on a burgundy pair for winter.

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2012 08:23

On a lighter note (argh at tedious explanation posts) Pickled don't worry about your lack of links your SMEG fridge is very popular on pin.

Decameron · 17/08/2012 08:26

Hi Marsha, I'm sorry you felt you had to post an explanation. This is getting silly. LTEC et al left the thread a long time ago and good luck to them. It's not why we are considering moving to another arena now.

Blue, I'm jealous!

MiM, I am looking forward to DD1 starting school. I have them from 6am-8pm on my own Mon-Fri and I am not good at being a children's entertainer!

Ugh, the links pressure now. Wink

AmberNectarine · 17/08/2012 08:29

Yes, bloss is going to come back and be like, WTF?

MarshaBrady · 17/08/2012 08:30

Thank you Decam that means a lot Smile.

Ok enough about all this, I too have a child-free day. So not going to dwell!

Those hours are long, I feel for you, tis hard. My babysitter is away til Saturday night. I wonder if Sat or Sun will be the sunnier day.
