My DH LOVES Sambuca. We always have a bottle in....
My personal idea of hell is Ouzo. It's a long story, but it involves other spirits, being 15, a hospital trip and 3 days in bed with alchohol poisoning. I only need to sniff it to turn green.
Nothing wrong with either Neil Diamond or John Denver. They are now retro cool, along with Dolly Parton (whom I am pretty partial too) and Carly Simon (I'm a fan!....altogether now 'YOU'RE SO VAIN...')
I cooked DH birthday dinner last night to critical acclaim. Steak and mushroom thing (v easy) out of jamie's Great Britain book, followed by the uber rich birthday cake that DD and I had made him. Here. Really not that hard to make (and I am not much of a baker.) But OMG so good - squidgy and luscious. In my defence I had done an Insanity Abs session and a L4 Ripped in 30 beforehand....
Re the difficulties in how we ensure everyone is comfortable with the thread -I can fully understand both points of view. Is there a way we can compromise and have a way that allows everyone to feel relaxed? I am wondering whether the closed FB group (which means that no one outside the group can see anything posted on it, for those who are concerned about FB because of work) as well as keeping the thread gives us the best of both worlds? At least for a trial period? People like me, who are fairly relaxed about things, can cut and paste the same posts to both. Those who are slightly more wary can just do clothes links to this thread and more personal chat to FB. FB can be a whole other minefield, which is why I am careful about my privacy settings and have absolutely no one that I work with as a FB friend. That is what Linked In is for! Good idea to google yourself every so often to check what comes up to make sure you are happy with the results. I have also used a reputation management company (no way near as scary as it sounds) to check that my use of social media wasn't going to bite me on the bottom.
