I love this bag, my friend says it's too old lady! :(

I saw this in store this morning and I thought it was lovely. Quite a bit more red in the flesh and I was thinking of treating myself for once. My friend was with me and says it was an 'old woman's nan bag'. So what do you think? Friend is still with me now so we are awaiting your verdict so that one of us can point and laugh at the other one.

I should also point out that friend has an serious aversion to ALL things Clarks!

I also have an aversion to all things Clarks so my judgement may be biased... I think Clarks (like M&S) often get things just slightly "off". So they'll get the main idea and then dilute it thus making things "old lady" or dull. I think, if you want a red bag like this there will be similar/more attractive ones out there.

Try Oasis for bags or Accessorise - very similar and modern feeling.

My friends often take the piss out of me for some of my fashion choices- shoes, handbags, more shoes. But I don't care. I like them and I think they look good. Ignore your mate, if you like it that's the most important thing as you're the one who'll have to use it and look at it every day. The bag is fine btw and not old ladyish!

I bought 2 pairs of Clarkes sandals this summer. They are both retro looking and I am constantly being complimented on them bloody comfy too. I definitely thing Clarkes styling is improving massively lately.

Still don't like this bag though. Sorry, its an old lady bag.

I think it's OK. Not the height of fashion, but not "old lady" either. It's the kind of bag I'd take to work as it's quite roomy. All in all, thumbs up from me.

I only like the Norstrom one and I can't really stretch that far, thanks for looking though!

It's very bland. It's not old lady especially, but it is quite unexciting.
