I love this bag, my friend says it's too old lady! :(

I saw this in store this morning and I thought it was lovely. Quite a bit more red in the flesh and I was thinking of treating myself for once. My friend was with me and says it was an 'old woman's nan bag'. So what do you think? Friend is still with me now so we are awaiting your verdict so that one of us can point and laugh at the other one. Grin

Its a nice bag.

JennerOSity · 06/08/2012 13:44

My mum would like it! She is old. It doesn't have much personality IMO

JennerOSity · 06/08/2012 13:44

looks

Diddydollydo · 06/08/2012 13:45

I'm not very exciting though pictish I need functional! Have quite a bit of crap to carry around (insulin pens, snacks etc.) so I liked the sze too.

Hell if you like it, then buy it!

Blackden · 06/08/2012 13:46

It very much reminds me of my 'serious work bag' style bags I had in the 1980's. I know the 80's is now considered vintage or retro. Is that the look you're going for?
I don't like it but probably because it makes me feel old to look at it! :)

JennerOSity · 06/08/2012 13:48

How about Nica

Diddydollydo · 06/08/2012 13:49

Good God almighty. Is this what I have become? A woman who wants functional and practical?

I'll be buying myself a pair of these soon

What the hell is a 'trouser shoe' anyway. Do they only send you one shoe?

I like the nica one, Jenner.

RachelHRD · 06/08/2012 13:57

This is nice

I quite like the Clarks one - it's a classic style.

JennerOSity · 06/08/2012 13:58

Thanks Blackden my first link on S+B - was nervous. Wink

JennerOSity · 06/08/2012 13:59

Actually my second! Oops, but today was first time I linked to anything.

Keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 06/08/2012 14:08

I'm 26 and I think its ok- but very expensive for what it is!

Madammecholet · 06/08/2012 14:44

Sorry, granny bag, this one is nicer...

matt & nat

Madammecholet · 06/08/2012 14:45

or this one?

TheCraicDealer · 06/08/2012 16:37

I'm going to get this for my birthday. Although I am slightly concerned my fat little arms won't go through the grab handles.

Mulberry bag The same style as the greeny one but in pink for £200

Chandon · 06/08/2012 17:07

Have a look at the tkmaxx site, they are fab and cheap and mostlyvstylish bags in all colours! Sorry on ipod so cannot do links...

shorttermnamechange · 06/08/2012 17:42

There is something not quite right about Clarks bags - they have the general idea but I think they sometimes look a bit cheap, despite not actually always being cheap.

For £100, you can do better.

That said, if you love it and it will make you happy, then that's the main thing isn't it?

OlivesTorchStreak · 06/08/2012 19:28

What about this one OP? Similar to the Clarkes one, but not so granny-ish and under £100...just!

OlivesTorchStreak · 06/08/2012 19:29

Or this.
