Do fat people have no style?

Thats the only thing I can assume designers must think!

I am fat curvy and want something to wear for an up-coming night out with 3 thin, very pretty friends that wont make me look like the bodyguard they brought with them for protection - can I find anything? Can I buggery!

Would like something nice to wear, have boobs and dont mind cleavage but also have hips/tummy/arse (and bingo wings but can wear a shrug/cardigan thing)

I'm only 25 so dont want to look frumpy

Quite like dresses as long as they're not too short

Someone must be able to help?

Sorry for the delay, home now and showered!

I wish they did a hiring service, I only need it for one night!

hiya eddie you should try to find a top/dress with v neck this will emphasis your boobs and not make a big block at the top, the top/dress needs to have a type of band tht fits around your thinest part of your waist to emphasis this, the length of the dress needs to finish on the narrowist part of your leg so in guessing the start of your calf, if you wear anything on your arms the cuff needs to stop the same level as your waist as youve got your arms by ur side this will again emphasis your small waist... i really dont know if any of tht makes sense....
i am a 22/24 i try and shop mostly at evans/simplybe/fashion world and yours. as i find they are more of a truer fit...

my work also involves helping ppl shop, and i hate it when i get a size 0 saying oooo does my bum look big??? lol

EddieIzzardIsMine · 01/08/2012 22:57

Thanks Always, you come across anything you think might be right?

Hi Eddie,

What about this dress Has a v neck for your boobs, good sleeve length you can tie it in at the waist and let the pattern and draping take care of everything else.

I think would look good with a black jacket and leggings/tights...

Don't worry about the sizing French Connection is ludicrously generous.

I bought this one for a wedding (size 20 and 5'7)

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MONSOON-BNWT-DAKOTA-BLACK-DRESS-SIZE-22-/290752107624?pt=UK_Women_s_Dresses&hash=item43b22d1468

Its made of lovely cotton material which skimmed all my lumpy back fat and actually made my bum look nice. I have F cup boobs and it fit pretty well across the bust and made my boobs look nice but not too cleavagey. The only issue was the zip got wouldn't do up easily over the weird waistband seam when I was wearing it, but I was able to get it over my head with the zip only half done. Its the only dress I have ever worn that made me feel even the slightest bit attractive and confident at this weight.

I find Yours brilliant for anything from casual to glam evening wear. So cheap too. :)

Eddie we sound a similar size and shape (and I dreamt about Eddie Izzard last night, how odd!) so I am marking my place.
I am already drooling over loads of the asos curve stuff.

S&B costs me a fortune. Grin

Eddie I'm a size 18 and use Very for quite a few dresses. Most of the ranges go up to a size 24. I think I'm a similar shape to you in that I have a waist and hips etc - they're just bigger than I'd like. I find the Holly Willoughby range quite flattering.

I just ordered a dress from one of these links ... fingers crossed it suddenly solves all the worlds problems overnight!
