Someone must sell T shirts for 5 year old girls in size 7-8-9 that are not slutty and trying hard to be grown-up..... But I can't find any!

My very tall just-5 year old needs some new t shirts, but struggling to find anything suitable.

She's in 7-8 or 8-9 and It's quite saddening how grown-up the tees in many shops are. I want little girl tops, nice wholesome t shirts.!
They don't have to be expensive, in fact as they're mainly for hols I'd prefer they weren't.

Boden had some, nothing to fit in the sale though.
NEXT- slutty trying to be grown -up.
M&s -nope

Please give me some ideas of where to look.

Gap had some nice ones yesterday in the over 5 range. Girly designs but they didn't seem too old.

My 6 year old is in age 7-8 stuff and she owns nothing slutty. She get a fair few T shirts from a distant Aunt from Matalan each year. They usually have puppies and kittens on them.

BHS tend to be fairly good if you avoid the Tammy Girl section. I got some lovely stuff in the sale for my 6 (8-9) and 8 (10-11) yo DDs. Debenhams sale too is good for basics.

H&M. I bought some for DD earlier this summer - plain, lovely colours in a couple of different styles. And cheap, too

All the supermarkets have plain t-shirts.

I remember Tammy Girl being the height of fashion in the 1980's.

John Lewis, Joules, H&M, Lands End, Monsoon - I have a very tall 6 year old - she wears size 8 years from most of these shops and they aren't grown up/slutty styles.

Generally they seem to have a good selection of plain stuff. here

I got some fab things for dd 9 (wears 11-12) the other day in the Debenham sale. Also from tkmaxx, uglyduck is a brand that she likes, fun prints, a good shape and nothing tarty.
She likes the boys section in h&m for t-shirts as they've got characters etc on that she likes - star wars, rolling stones, muppets, lego characters etc.

Children's clothes are never "slutty"

People may have perceptions of what contsitutes a "slutty look" but it is frankly disgusting to associate children's clothing with such a sexist word.

A child cannot be slutty. Only adults can place that label on them.

If you think the t shirts available are too mature, then complan to the shops in question.

Personally I buy plain t shirts for my DDs. But if you want tops with pictures on them, then you are best in shops like H&M and some of the Scandinavian shops online.

Some shops are starting to move in the Autumn wear I think. I bought some lovely T shirts from Next in May that weren't remotely slutty for my DD. I'm just wondering if you've left it late in the season to buy and you're left with the ones no one else wanted?

I'm going to be looking in Matalan I think though, after worried's comments Next is pricey.

My eldest daughter is 7 and wears t-shirts size 7-8, occasionally 8-9. She has had a birthday recently and got lovely tops/t-shirts from Asda, Sainsburys, Tescos. She also has plain t-shirts from Next, infact most of her clothes come from Next - she has lived in their boarders for most of the wet summer

Her nicest bits and pieces recently have come from H&M.

Possibly I should've chosen a different adjective however 'mature' is not an appropriate alternative. The clothes I'm describing are those which are too sexual. Clothes for a young girl don't need to be designed and have the look of adult clothes and far too many stores Get on this band wagon.

Don'tst - you may be right about leaving it late, combination of mysterious holes appearing on chest of tops and 'vanish' not doing its job leaves us short of tshirts. I was in a shop today and there were lots on long sleeves!

Wiggles, I quite like sainsbos for tees but nothing nice in my local one ATM.

Slutty, tarty we all know what we mean, stop being perdantic.

I agree with you Tobermory, the clothes are slutty, and to describe them politely as "mature" or "too grown-up" doesn't convey quite how inappropriate the clothes are.

So far, I've been able to rely on H&M.

I mean H&M for non-slutty clothes.
