I don't have one favourite, but on the shortlist there is:

I am currently wearing Fleur d'Oranger by, err, Marks and Spencer.

But my all time favourites are DKNY (everyday), Chanel No 22 (everyday too), Vol de Nuit by Guerlain (evenings), Grain de Soleil (Fragonard) for evenings. I also usually have a couple of Annick Goutal on the go too - usually Eau du Sud and Eau d'Hadrien. I want to try Nuit Etoilee.

Chanel No. 5 for when I'm feeling grown up

I am absolutely dying to revisit standard Eternity And Samsara to remind me of being 19 - lush

I'm going to test that Gwen Stefani one too. I'm always tempted by JLO Miami Glow because it smells like coconut suncream but I can't make up my mind.

Am wondering if anyone apart from me likes Lady Million by Paco Rabane? It never gets a mention on here. the packaging is vile but I love the smell.

Eternity Calvin Klein is possibly my favourite with Chanel Allure. Next would be J'Adore Dior. Perfume that reminds of being 19 would Clinique Aromatics Elixir and YSL Opium

I used to love Poison, and still do, along with Sun Moon & Stars, and Loulou.

When pregnant with DD2 I bought Elle Intense, and still love it, but I wore it to her funeral, so tend not to wear it much.

At the moment I'm alternating between White Musk, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, and my favourite Insolence.

I've been quite queasy about most perfumes since pregnancy nearly a decade ago but have recently discovered Versace Veritas and am really enjoying wearing perfume again.

Different perfumes for different ages:

Teenager: Anais Anais

Student/big first relationship: Escape (when it first came out in a beautiful glass bottle)

Sophisticated 20's evening: Mitsouko Day: Chanel no5

Wedding Day and Honeymoon: Beautiful, estee lauder

early 30's (the perfume tart years) - L'heure bleue, vol de nuit, Jo Malone Amber and Lavender, more Mitsouko, Eau Dynamisante

Late 30's to now (bigger perfume tart, wear every day) - all the Miller Harris ones particularly the manly 'Tabac' for evening, Liz Earle no1, Elemis Exotic, Mary Greenwell 'Plum'.

poppedoutforapintofmilk I love Paco Rabanne Lady Million and I often get complimented by people when I'm wearing it. Totally agree that the packaging is a bit naff!
My other favourite perfumes are Hermes Kelly Caleche and Miss Dior Cherie.

Laurie I love L'heure bleu sublime smell. I've never heard of Miller Harris, will check it out, Tabac sounds intriguing.

Try Sephora then. It's my fave shop on the planet and I miss it. Must be one or 2 in Paris. I wear a lot that are heavy on the vanilla as DH prefers me to 'smell like sweets not like my Gran!'
