Phew! I was a bit worried that I was going to like the dresses, but you're right. Grin

nickschick · 26/07/2012 11:16

Will you leave per una alone i am young 37 and funky snort and i have several peroooona things ...including a lush scarf and pink linen jacket.

Tanyaaah · 26/07/2012 12:30

What about this smashing blouse and cardi ?

Tanyaaah · 26/07/2012 12:31

Or this lovely long denim skirt?

ILikeMagicMike · 26/07/2012 12:41

This whole page is frump central

ILikeMagicMike · 26/07/2012 12:48

I used to work in Next and they did a variation on these every year. They were best sellers, but they are in my opinion, the ultimate mum boot.
Especially when worn with light blue jeans.......

noddyholder · 26/07/2012 12:50

The denim skirt is the limit imo. I think even supposedly nice denim skirts are frumpy unless you are size 8 and wearing a frayed one with a bikini in india otherwise nooooooooooo

MrsBovary · 26/07/2012 13:09

My goodness, those mum boots are awful!

UnnamedFemaleProtagonist · 26/07/2012 13:15

I am 37 and would not touch Per Una with my Mum's.

I get ID'd for most of my booze purchases which Ithink is helped by the style of clothes I wear and my Mac creme blush.

openerofjars · 26/07/2012 13:20

I look in my wardrobe and sigh, then I find one of these threads and feel a lot brighter.

Thanks!

Callisto · 26/07/2012 13:29

My eyes!! Those dresses are appalling, esp the maxi one. And that skirt, and those hideous boots.

Noddy - I have a stretchy-denim above knee pencil skirt that I wear in winter with jumpers and long boots. Is that allowed or do I need to Ebay it forthwith?

monal · 26/07/2012 13:31

Tanyaaah, I'd wear that blouse and cardi... I should probably just accept my fate, right? :(

Tanyaaah · 26/07/2012 14:26

Sorry monal!

Emo76 · 26/07/2012 15:29

We'll have to start a thread about it in a minute Tough.

FunnyLittleFrog · 26/07/2012 16:48

this with this is classic frump wear.

Team with pop socks and jaunty coloured shoes covered with stick on flowers.

Callisto · 26/07/2012 16:59

Oooh, that top is nasty.

rollingfog143 · 26/07/2012 17:06

Aye but if skanky Kate Moss was seen wearing any of that gear you'd all be "OMG that skirt/dress is lush" Grin

Ameliagrey · 26/07/2012 17:09

And almost anything from the Lands End catalogue.

squoosh · 26/07/2012 17:28

Young vicar's wife is the frump look really isn't it?

Sorry to all the fashion forward vicars wives out there!
