I have bought a nailpolish from there today. Its revlon and the colour is gorgeous. A sort of greyish nude colour (sounds gross, but its lush) and a pound

Also got a rimmel lipgloss (stay put) and a maybelline mousse foundation.

Yes! It totally rocks OP. Saw some Cover Girl foundation and all sorts the other week!

lissielou · 24/07/2012 20:25

I never buy the make up from there. I think I might need a visit Grin

hydrangeas · 07/08/2012 18:40

should maybe keep this thread going/

planetpotty · 07/08/2012 19:17

Loreal elvive....a pound!!

Chelvis · 08/08/2012 07:42

Stila powder compacts in the Hull branch this week - only olive/warm shades left when I went in though :( (I'm very very pasty porcelain)

PurplePidjin · 08/08/2012 08:05

Q10 moisturiser, £10 in normal shops £6 in Wilko's

£1 in the pound shop

:o

BedHog · 08/08/2012 08:10

2 pots of dazzle dust eyeshadow for £1.

Their microfibre cloths are great too. You can get a pack of 4. I've also started using their non-bio washing powder.

Last time they had loads of cds by good bands. They were albums released a few years ago but great for picking up a few goodies for the car!

trixymalixy · 08/08/2012 08:31

I got a really nice subtly sparkly nail varnish from pound land.

trixymalixy · 08/08/2012 08:31

It's a revlon one, don't think I'd buy a brand I didn't recognise!!

cloudpuff · 09/08/2012 13:49

I go into poundland and poundworld at least once a week to have a good old rummage through the make up. I've picked up loads of beauty bargains in there but my faves are the stila powder and stila tinted moisturiser. Luckily they had light shades and I had the sense to grab a couple/ They weree sold out next time I went. The rimmel kiss and stay glosses are great too.

Iamgiulietta · 09/08/2012 16:02

Ooooo! I need to go in. Want some tinted moisturiser

SunWukong · 09/08/2012 16:25

I got some eyeshadows but I wouldn't touch the lip stuff.

I think at least some of it is things that have been opened, I've definitely seen a few lip glosses in there sealed in the bags where the tape/barcode has clearly been pushed down so someone can open the product.

bleedingheart · 09/08/2012 16:54

I got some lovely eyeshadow brushes that are by Revlon and a pot of Revlon concealer from Poundland. The brushes are from some range for older skin -perhaps because of this they blend SO well!
I saw lots of Stila foundations this week but all in Deep which is too dark for me.

cloudpuff · 09/08/2012 17:31

I think I got lucky a s they had lights shades :)

LissiesAWenlockLass · 09/08/2012 17:45

I popped in again yesterday and got 2 more revlon nail polishes, a revlon eyeshadow and a lip gloss. The beauty benefits minty lip stuff is great.

They had stila foundation in my local pound land, too dark for me unfortunately. If I could have been arsed I was tempted to but the lot and eBay it!!

I bought Sally Hansen nail varnish instead.

Elliptic5 · 10/08/2012 13:43

Stila spf30 tinted moisturiser in my local one, shade 02 - really good colour for me.
However all the nail varnishes were gross.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 10/08/2012 13:44

Is Stila good? It's a 5 min drive toy nearest poundland. Even I can manage that in my condition!

ihatethecold · 10/08/2012 13:49

I got some hair minimising cream that's a fiver in boots. It's by nair. It works really well at softening the hairs on my legs so after a few weeks I don't have to shave them everyday during summer Smile

Chelvis · 11/08/2012 20:44

I've always found Stila eye make up good, never used the foundation, but expect it's similarly good quality.
