Happy birthday icey and pickled
We're off on Saturday dauphin. Going to the beach in Languedoc for a week, just got another Violet Lake bikini in the sale, so have one in aquamarine, crimson and black. Indulgent, but I've worked really hard on my beach body this year so it's a reward! Friends are joining us too and my sister and her family are also in the area so will see them too, then a week inland in Provence where we went last year, on a vineyard on our own, plenty of lunches out I hope! Are you on Pinterest?
Would love to see your pins. Stay strong.

girlsofsummer · 07/08/2012 10:04

Sorry to miss all the news but if anybody has Ants number please could they PM me, thanks

Dauphin · 07/08/2012 10:59

Thanks Bloss....holiday sounds bliss. Have a good time. Know you will. Bikinis sound gorgeous too. Love Provence.

No, am not on Pinterest. Have no clue about it really.

Dauphin · 07/08/2012 11:00

Happy Birthday to Icey and Pickled !

FritziGreenEyes · 07/08/2012 11:47

emo Glad to hear that DD is ok!

Happy birthday to our lovely pickled and icey!!!

girlsofsummer · 07/08/2012 12:28

Happy birthday Pickled and Icey hope you get spoilt rotten.

Scary Emo so glad its ok now

Welcome back Dauphin (you prob wont recognise me)

34B. Sometimes 32B. Was C when teenager.

Wearing bra to bed is good practice for everyone really (depending what you want them to be like years from now)

Too busy and getting pissed off at lack of time off. Trying to take days here & there, doing lots of playdates for DD1 and other special stuff and got some weeks planned later in holidays but its not fair on the DC however I cut it.

Fridge freezers well we have american style which is on the blink and likely to need replacement soon. There is nothing I would rather not spend money on more TBH

notyummy · 07/08/2012 12:41

Meant to say - good luck Ants with your potential chest 'work'. Smile

I am a 32A at best. Padded bras are my friend. I do sometimes get frustrated when I can't fill stuff out, but on the whole I am happy as I can do all my running and jumping around with no concerns and can happily go braless on occasion despite breastfeeding. DH remembers the heady days of 34C when DD was baby with fondness.... I would rather have smaller hips/thighs rather than a bigger chest IFYSWIM. But that will only happen if i stop eating Mr Kipling's Manor House cake though, so quite unlikely Wink.

blossoming · 07/08/2012 12:54

Oh my goodness, I really didn't need to see Olivia Palermo in my bikini (though different colour), this close to my holiday.....

DonaAna · 07/08/2012 13:02

Happy birthday girls!
Ants breast reduction sounds a very good thing - fingers crossed all will go well. A celeb / style blogger here did it and said it's life-changing. I'm happy with my B cup breasts - most ready-to-wear seems to be cut for my measurements, hence it's easy for me to find tailored pieces that fit perfectly.

Wore my dyed indigo bootcuts today and got it right! They look sharp and amazing. Will wear them a lot. Got very good service in the most stylish boutique in town. Tried on a pair of Camilla Skovgaard boots, their rubber saw soles felt amazing and the shoes are perfectly engineered inside. Wish I was cool enough to wear them all the time :) Also found edgy black ballerinas, didn't buy because ??? and all wrong for Rome.

Hopefully · 07/08/2012 17:08

NY thanks, will do a bit more reading to decide SA or GA, but it sounds good.

Brain exhausted, so am reading back and enjoying, but can't remember who said what to comment/reply Smile. Nice to check in at the end of a busy day though!

pickledsiblings · 07/08/2012 18:17

Thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes. I will indeed be getting spoilt rotten later - DH has just phoned to say that he will bring home a chocolate cake and a carrot cake from... the Co Op Grin.

Cheers to the lovely J. Wine, sweet of you to remember. Your Olympic adventure sounds truly marvellous. I remember the middle of the night feeds with fondness, sitting in front of the log burner enjoying the privilage of being the centre of someones Universe while the rest of the world slept Smile. As ever though, it seems that as soon as you manage to crack a 'phase' with DC, they promptly move on to a new one - it's all great fun, isn't it.

The only shopping I seem to be doing these days is for DD or the house! We have lived here for nearly 9 years and most of our appliances are on their last legs so it's a new fridge, freezer, oven and washing machine for us instead of a holiday. The DC are bizarrely excited at the idea of a Staycation .

Decameron · 07/08/2012 19:10

Happy birthday to Pickled and Icey!

My babysitter cancelled last minute so I had to bring both DDs to my hair appt. They weren't too badly behaved but I felt sorry for the other clients! I now have Olivia Palermo hair (but it won't last, sadly).

Dauphin, check out Russell and Bromley, they always have great flat boots.

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2012 19:16

Happy birthday pickled and icey

pickled We had a little staycation a couple of weeks ago when the weather was good and we loved it! Doesn't really count as we are going to Majorca in a few weeks, but it was so nice not having to pack or get up at stupid o'clock!

MarshaBrady · 07/08/2012 19:24

I'm currently trying to decide between an October half term holiday or a Miele. Finding it quite hard. I mean a holiday is always nice, but the other lasts (but not that exciting really).

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2012 19:31

If it help marsha my DPs have Miele everything and swear by them!

MarshaBrady · 07/08/2012 19:36

Thanks Amber it does! It feels slightly crazy choosing the very expensive washing machine. But then if I love it every time I use it rather then could be worth it.

(Dh is banned from doing the laundry he mixes things.)

pickledsiblings · 07/08/2012 19:45

Marsha, I've decided to go for a mid range Hotpoint and October half term holiday Smile.

Decam, I was just thinking that OP's hair looked good. Bet you really suit it - take a pic and upload it like Emo did?

Amber, are you going to be sporting an Autumn tan then Envy?

AntPants1 · 07/08/2012 19:45

marsha check out appliancesonline.com. I got some great discounts when we were doing our kitchen.

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2012 19:45

I don't need to ban DH, it wouldn't even occur to him to load the damn thing Hmm

MarshaBrady · 07/08/2012 19:52

Dh shrunk a hand knitted baby jumper to flea size and felted -> last straw.

Thanks Ants will do. Good tip.

Pickled I could do Bosch and hols. Maybe.

AmberNectarine · 07/08/2012 20:01

I sincerely hope so pickled. I go back to work two days after we get back and want to exude fabulousness, rather than the knackered and harassed image I am currently projecting.

OllieinOrange · 07/08/2012 20:27

I hate thinking about the money spent on household appliances. My Mum swears by Bosh - probably cos the man in John Lewis says so!

Im so thrilled with my new Zara jeans. They look terrible on the website so reluctant to link but I love the paler colour, fit and even the nice seams that show when I roll them up. Im channeling Jennifer Anniston today by wearing them ankle length with my navy fitted fineknit Esprit jumper layered with a grey marl vest and navy flip flops. No Tom Ford bag unfortunately. Wink

Pickled and Icey Happy Birthdays to you. Hope you both have had lovely days - with the odd gift or two. Coop cake sounds good to me Pickled. I love shop brought cake me!

Dauphin · 07/08/2012 20:40

No, girlsofsummer...give me a clue!

Miele is good Marsha. Siemens also v good. I am sad, I know. Dh mixes things here too. I really look after clothes - he's had a few disasters, and I get so mad.

Olivia Palermo hair sounds fab Decam...I've had to take DD2 to hairdressers before. For a 3 hour sesh...was not much fun, poor you!

Love your bikini Bloss. Might have to find one for next year. Olivia looks great, doesn't she? Cow. only half hearted Grin

Hopefully · 07/08/2012 20:44

I ban DH from most laundry because for some reason he is obsessed with 60 degree washes, and it drives me bonkers. I let him put on all the nappy washes though Grin

Pickled and Icey happy birthdays! I had to write down the word icy today and struggled hugely not to write it as Icey. Made me smile.

Feeling hugely bloaty after pizza and ice cream. Think I will be rocking a jersey pencil skirt tomorrow, as not sure my trousers would do up!

Hopefully · 07/08/2012 20:45

NB not all our nappy washes are done at 60, it just matters less if he forgets himself and puts them on that high.
