Thanks!

Hope the returns process isn't too painful Bloss!

Oh yes outfit. I had to go with the Yeojin Bae print silk dress from Liberty ages ago. Wore with Bruno mustard belt and black Marants.

Quite summery. Can't find an image otherwise would pin and link (love a good pin and link).

So I am still on the hunt for this new dress for the next time.

Also ds2 did so well at gps and slept all night until 9am without waking that we have booked Berlin, Paris and Germany for this year.

And since Fritzi's Berlin hotel was sooo good. I was wondering has anyone stayed at a really beautiful Paris hotel? For parents / us in October.

MarshaBrady · 22/07/2012 18:32

Thanks Red. Lol at houmous

Russianred · 22/07/2012 18:39

My fault Marsha - we'd gone to Leon for lunch and she'd eaten a whole pot. Her breath suited our whole vibe. Oh, how my sister laughed. Lovely news about trips abroad. No tips for me from Paris, we stay in a friend's apartment, which is glorious but not the vibe you're going for I wouldn't have thought.

Emo76 · 22/07/2012 19:27

Happy Birthday greetings to you marsha - sounds like your night went so well.

Reiss have made final reductions but nothing tempting me - worth checking though if you have your eye on anything as some bits are 70% off. They also have some new a/w things in - I am not that impressed yet.

pickles alas not - nanny is a good few sizes smaller than me, and quite a bit trendier. But nice idea, I'd be glad to hand to her if she was or indeed anyone else I know.

Good day here - took DD2 on the back of my bike around the park whilst DH and DD1 played football. Then tidied the art cupboard - my least favourite job - it's like pipecleaners, paper, pencils and sequins can BREED. Time to reward myself with a summery Pimms - chin chin ladies.

Hopefully · 22/07/2012 20:30

Red you are very clever, I will try the uniqlo before committing to Marant. Means I can afford the Drome leather leggings. Win win. Lol at your hippy look

SE thanks, will take a look tomorrow. Is that one of the ones all bunched together on whatever-it's-called-st?

Oh bugger, have forgotten to list eBay stuff and am now pissed (on one whole glass of red wine). Have tons to list.

Champagne! I never saw any bloody champagne! Grin

Did turn down some pimms before lunch as hadn't eaten for 4 hours at that stage and worried for my ongoing state of verticality if I drank any booze.

CHOOGIRL · 22/07/2012 21:29

Gos penny has finally dropped who you are. I need a spreadsheet for all the name changes.
I love the Joseph and think you should get it. I'm finding the prices from the higher end high street (Reiss, LKB) are going up towards the Joseph/DVF levels and the quality not necessarily keeping pace. I've had to return a few dresses this season where either the zips have broken or the seams come away.
Bloss am excited by the sun, and hope DS is better soon so you can get to London. I'll be wearing a dress and jacket too.

bretonbee · 22/07/2012 21:45

Lots of Pimms and champagne consumed here today Grin. Had a fabulous time at the Polo, perfect English summer day in the countryside. Felt great in my dress and walked around all day in shoes as if had worn them for years.

Lots of stylish ladies so good people watching. Of the most stylish of my friends - one was in a one shouldered, yellow and grey silk dress with gold sandals which worked perfectly with her dark hair and dark olive skin and the other in a cream and beige beaded dress with nude heels which also worked with her very blonde hair and tan. My other favourite outfit of the day was a lady in an emerald green and turquoise colour block dress with emerald green wedges and an emerald green sequin clutch.

Happy Birthday marsha sounds like you had a lovely evening.

Big wave to everyone else and nice to hear about everyone's days in the sunshine - so nice to have some summery weather for a change.

blue2711 · 22/07/2012 22:35

Happy belated birthday marsha! Sounds like a lovely evening.
Glad you had a great day breton.
Hope sick bay duty ends soon bloss and poorly DS gets better.

Two style fails for me today; not sure I'm very good at warm weather dressing. First was wearing a blue and white tiny floral patterned cotten sundress with brown leather belt and sandals. Felt a bit folksy so threw old navy cotton blazer over. Felt ok but then ended up visiting SiL and family at their caravan in Derbyshire where all the other women were in jeans and hoodies. Nephew asked whether I'd been to work! Blush. Then later we went to friends' house for drinks, changed into Zara floral shirts and navy tee and cream blazer. Friend wearing floor sweeping maxi and I felt positively naked in my tiny shorts. Must do better tomorrow!

Loved your outfit today amber. Great dress, where from?

notyummy · 22/07/2012 23:09

Happy birthday Marsha!

Sounds like a lovely day breton, glad you had fun.

Happy birthday marsha!

blue it's from H&M, cost a whole £12.99. DH was proud.

Just extracted a large spider from the downstairs bathroom. Saw it scuttle across the room and did a little girly prance, before manning up and putting it outside. Then went to the upstairs bathroom. Lo and behold, another. Decided to live and let live. Now laying here feeling them all over me

Russianred · 22/07/2012 23:19

Bloody DH has just burnt a great big hole in one of my favourite dresses by draping it over a lamp to dim the light so as not to wake DD (at ILs). I nearly cried. It is no longer in stock. Livid.

Well done in your spider dealings Amber. Loved that film NY. Role Models on tonight which is a favourite of mine for lol'ing. Blue sound like gorgeous outfits to me - never knowingly underdressed etc etc.

notyummy · 22/07/2012 23:24

Red- not surprised you are cross! How stoopid.... I love Jane Lynch in Role Models. And all those re-enactors. V funny. In other film news we watched an Aussie film (though had Gabriel Byrne and Laura Linney in it) last night called Jindabynd. Well acted but not an awful lot happened. Felt a lot longer than it was- and DH blamed me for recording it. May have redeemed myself with Super 8 though.

Seventh is prob not worth it - is only my Johnnie B striped dress. But you know how I feel about stripes and it was a great fit and I just loved it. At least I have a few more striped dresses..! NY LOVE Jane Lynch and the Whispering Eye boy. Classic stuff.

red oh no wonder you were annoyed! Hope DH was apologetic at least!

breton what a wonderful sounding day. Love the idea of polo and sipping pimms watching it.

bloss hope ds wakes up feeling much better.

Am hoping the purchase of 3 pairs of boots and a CAGOULE in the last few days means sun will arrive here soon. London looks like the weather will be fantastic for the week. Despite no sunshine here yesterday we dragged out the new BBQ and set it up, only to find a nearby tree teaming with wasps that headed to the BBQ. Was no where near as brave as amber and headed inside ASAP and left DH to deal with it......

blossoming · 23/07/2012 06:52

Has summer been and gone? Wet here today.
Thanks for all your concern re DS. He is still a bit pathetic.

MidnightinMoscow · 23/07/2012 08:16

Quick question wise ones - DD is due her 16 week jabs today, but she is full of cold. Any advice?

Russianred · 23/07/2012 08:22

Delay MiM - both of mine had different ones delayed because of colds under the advice of the HV/Dr.

MidnightinMoscow · 23/07/2012 08:28

Thanks Red, thought I should.

ReineDeSaba · 23/07/2012 08:31

I had forgotten how much I love the sun.At the moment I am wearing dresses similar to amber's , bloss simple cuts with bold patterns.I want to wear sandals but am not booked in for pedi till the weekend!

Have not kept up with pinterest at all but could someone please explain how I photo my wardrobe then pin. Thanks!

Petit really good to see you back.

found all the talk on parenting very interesting. Also find it slightly scary to think what my very imperfect efforts might lead to in years to come. mim well done in staying so dignified.

I go through long stretches of not reading now.I am reading lite with a Marion Keyes at the moment Blush .Adore Madame Bovary out of the good stuff.

suburban I really laughed at your time going backwards at the park comment.

fritzi when we went to Brighton ants' DH and my Dh both took our respective children to the same park and had a conversation along the lines of..'my wife has gone to Brighton with some imaginary friends' 'Oh so has mine!'

Enjoy Gozo ants

annie you are queen of belts have you seen any good red or fuschia ones, not too pricey please, medium thickness.

AmberNectarine · 23/07/2012 08:36

Torch coming through today, Andy Murray and Venus Williams set to carry it round these parts, which is pretty cool. Will pop along with the DC.

VerityBrulee · 23/07/2012 08:42
