What is your pinterest name, Florence? I've just finished Sealed Letter by Emma Donoghue and started of Joy www.amazon.co.uk/Dreams-Joy-Lisa-See/dp/1408822296/ref=ntt_at_ep_dpt_3, I'm enjoying it so far.

Hmm, maybe a nice Vince top, Bloss?

Sunny here now, better take them to the playground.

MarshaBrady · 19/07/2012 15:34

Me either. An impossibility! Grin

Decameron · 19/07/2012 15:34

Dreams of Joy

AmberNectarine · 19/07/2012 16:03

Always been a happy brunette, but I think it is a bit different when you are of mixed race!

FritziGreenEyes · 19/07/2012 16:07

I cannot imagine marsha as anything but blond and bloss as anything but a dark brunette!

Had a massive trying on session in Zara today and bought ollie's jacket which is lovely and soft and flattering and true natural/ingenue style I think.

Tried on this maxi but it made my hips look enormous (unsurprisingly!) and see-through. The one I really wanted to try is this maxi but I couldn't find it in the store.

Loved this dress but too short and top half too loose.

If anyone is still looking for a cheap pair of flora skinnies: These are great but I resisted as I don't wear my JBrand florals often enough.

Bought a couple of new season stuff for DD. Oh, and a pair of reduced <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.de/imgres?q=bloch+yvette&hl=de&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=866&bih=517&tbm=isch&prmd=imvnso&tbnid=e-Vr0rx0LyWCZM:&imgrefurl=www.polyvore.com/bloch_yvette_ballerina_pumps/thing%3Fid%3D31918680&docid=TbOuHEwNASKvgM&itg=1&imgurl=www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing%253F.out%253Djpg%2526size%253Dl%2526tid%253D31918680&w=300&h=300&ei=DyIIUKXoF-Ph4QTphLSvBA&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=608&sig=105623578594353049280&page=1&tbnh=152&tbnw=152&start=0&ndsp=8&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:78&tx=111&ty=78" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Blochs in a local boutique.

Hope my Kindle will be here soon so I can start reading Jilly Cooper and some of the books dona recommended. Like for others reading is total escapism for me and I need to have a book with me wherever I am.

GeorginaWorsley · 19/07/2012 16:12

Yes to Jilly Cooper!
I loved Rivals,Polo and The Man who Made Husbands Jealous especially.
I devoured the descriptions of clothes and houses (not botheredabout the sex)Grin
Am out tonight and plan to wear the Whistles Animal print skinnies.

FritziGreenEyes · 19/07/2012 16:16

bloss Are you still looking for pointed flats?

blue2711 · 19/07/2012 16:23

I am mousey naturally so need to dye darker or lighter... Blonde just feels more me somehow, but interestingly it's always dark haired beauties that I really envy.
Love that end of term feeling bloss! Yes you're right I miss it too.
Yes dona I do have that D and G alike Zara floral blazer! Really lovely print, colours and fabric. Loving my bright outfit today.

blossoming · 19/07/2012 16:48

Thanks fritzi. Someone else linked to them before. I have not been very lucky with boden shoes before, and I tried some patent round toes once and thought the material looked a bit stretched. Still feel so cold here. Happy in my converse and socks Blush. Please let the forecast be right.
But I see they're sending out a/w stuff in a week's time. Is there anything worth buying?

Decameron · 19/07/2012 17:06

I need to try 912s, Bloss. I bought them last year in the My-Wardrobe sale but got a size too big and had to ebay. 28, I bet 14 is a distant memory now! I ordered the Boden navy lace t-shirt, a drapey top in white and navy and a cord skirt (most likely the skirt will look awful and go back).

Lovely clothes, Fritzi.

Georgina, I meant to ask, whatever happened with your friend's husband? Hope he was found safe and sound.

blossoming · 19/07/2012 17:16

J Brand are generous though aren't they decam? My first pair were a 32 though, so I know I've come a long way.. and had 3 kids, and am no longer using marlboro light as a weight management tool Wink

blossoming · 19/07/2012 17:25

The thing with 912 is that come autumn I will be needing longer length jeans to wear with my lovely boots I don't like the gap, personally.

alwaysrunninginheels · 19/07/2012 17:31

Loving all the talk of jury Blume and flowers in the attic!!!!
Such a part of my teenage years! Nipped into waterstones on way home from a truly dreadful day and bought riders in the vain hope of escapism! My ds woke up with a closed eye- trip to gp resulted in being sent to hospital and have MRI/brain scan tomorrow morning and are seeing a paediatric neurologist on Monday!!! Terrified!

Decameron · 19/07/2012 17:39

Well, I'm mostly a 29 :( Try Paige Hoxton or Goldsign Lure if you want longer length skinnies.

Decameron · 19/07/2012 17:42

X-post, hope he is ok, Always.

MarshaBrady · 19/07/2012 17:42

Oh Always you poor things. Hope it is all fine. Will he be sedated?

Jbrand are quite generous I think. They certainly do stretch a bit.

Hopefully · 19/07/2012 17:43

I pre-ordered the boden pointy flats in, I think, the nude colour (or maybe navy. honestly can't remember, it was when there was the preview discount a while back). Am hoping they will be ok, but will be sending them back if not as they ain't cheap!

Have had really nice day out visiting relatives (of all things). Lovely sociably aunt who adores the boys, so not too challenging.

Still have sick-making To Do list to plough through though. Urgh.

ReineDeSaba · 19/07/2012 17:48

Just back from 2nd park visit of the day(didn't have to picnic under a climbing frame for the 2nd one Hmm )

Glimpsed ants sister who looks amazing 4th time pregnant..my bump wasn't that neat even 1st time round.

Also saw ants daughter who ran up and said 'I remember you,I loved your cookies' my new best friend!

always you poor thing and poor ds..what a ghastly day indeed..of course you must be going out of your mind with worry, impossible not to whatever anyone says but good things are moving fast to get to the cause.best wishes..

am very behind on thread and out tonight but will read back over weekend.

AmberNectarine · 19/07/2012 17:58

Been wearing my navy Agnes today. 28 and massive. Think they will be on the eBay pile tomorrow (unless anyone on here is after a navy, sateen finish pair with brass coloured hardware?)

blossoming · 19/07/2012 18:08

Oh poor thing always. When my dc2 was in icu for her first 2 months I coped by ignoring everyone and reading as much of Jackie Collins back catalogue I could get my hands on. Can highy recommend. Although I think my family were a bit bemused by my behaviour.

Hopefully · 19/07/2012 18:30

Oh crap. I've just remembered we have a christening to go to on the weekend. Do we think navy Me & Em plus nude heels plus De Manta plus blazer is appropriate christening attire? Frankly, it better be, it's my only option.

Double crap, I have just realised I have a week to lose approximately 5lbs so I feel my best for training - put on an astonishing amount of bloat while resting my foot. Ideas on how I might achieve this are gratefully received... Am I going to have to low carb? Can run most days I expect, which is good for instant calorie burn.

notyummy · 19/07/2012 18:35

So sorry to hear your news Always. Will keep you in my thoughts.
