Inspired by replies on another thread-

I LOVE perfume-never leave the house without it.

I am attracted to very strong musky or woodsy smells.

At the moment I have-

Boudoir
Knowing
Agent provacateur
Naughty alice
Samsara
Mitsouko

But if I could only wear one perfume for the rest of my life it would definately be.......Samsara!!

What is your forever perfume?

DKNY Cashmere Mist.

LemonMousse · 05/07/2012 22:23

Estee Lauder 'Pleasures'.

ronx · 05/07/2012 22:25

Ooh - I think I'd go for Jo Malone's Lime, Basil and Mandarin. I love the way the citrus notes give way to a warm, woody heart

bubba2012 · 05/07/2012 22:26

Chanel mademoiselle. Gucci Envy is still available (amazon) DH bought me some for V day. The bottle is different it was black instead of clear. :-)

ReshapeWhileDamp · 05/07/2012 22:33

I love Guerlain too, Gerorf. I think it was India Knight's book on shopping that got me interested in trying them I once bought a bottle of L'heure Bleu in TK Maxx for silly money. Grin I have Apres L'Ondee but ever since I was pregnant with DS2, it smells different to/on me. Sad

I love old-fashioned, non-cloying floral scents and would happily buy up half of Penhaligon's, were it not that they only last an hour or so on me.

My absolute favourite though, if I had to choose, would not be a Guerlain, but Diorissimo. With L'Heure Bleu as a close second. Grin

SuddenlyMadameGlamour · 05/07/2012 22:36

Yy to Dior addict. I am out of all perfumes ATM and keep dropping massive hints to dp...

blibblibs · 05/07/2012 22:41

Thanks guccigirly, I have seen it online before but I'm always worried as to how old it is...
Does purfume go 'off' even if the bottle hasn't been opened?

SparkyDuchess · 05/07/2012 22:47

Chanel no 5 Eau premiere - slightly lighter than no 5, I absolutely love it

lowfatiscrap12 · 05/07/2012 23:13

Beautiful. I love it. I sniff myself when I'm wearing it!
I like most Estee Lauder perfumes.

snaplockslags · 05/07/2012 23:14

Coco Chanel and Prada cant decide both beautiful

smugmumofboys · 05/07/2012 23:17

Too hard to choose one.

Love Guerlain's l'heure bleue but my fave has to be Fleur Oriental by Miller Harris.

rowingboat · 06/07/2012 00:06

notheroldie 5th Avenue is on Fragrance Direct, in various incarnations including 'night' and '5pm' for around £16. Just thought I'd mention. smile

For me don't fancy wearing only one fragrance forever, but quite like Dusk by Arrogant Cat.

arghhhmiddleage · 06/07/2012 00:24

Cool Water Woman -Davidoff. The only one I've ever found that I like, with the added bonus that it doesn't make me sneeze :).

cocolepew · 06/07/2012 00:29

FriedSprout · 06/07/2012 00:32

Tuberose and Gardenia by Estée Lauder

perfumedlife · 06/07/2012 00:53

I shall die wearing Boucheron. Worn and adored it for twenty odd years.

Meggles76 · 06/07/2012 06:15

Chanel chance.

DillyTante · 06/07/2012 09:48

Very rarely wear perfume, and find strong perfume on other people really offensive. But my favourite ever perfume is Les Belles de Ricci, it smells like tomato plants. I love fresh fruity scents.

AspirantPirate · 06/07/2012 10:05

I find perfumes really hard - so many seem to make meel feel nauseous / headachy when I wear them, although I love them on other people. I have given up on Chanel altogether because it makes me feel awful Confused

I settled on Ralph Lauren Romance ... and then I got pregnant with DC1 and found I couldn't wear it any more because it made me feel ill Sad

10 years and much experimentation later I have now settled on Boss Femme, which smells very much like Romance but lacks whatever ingredient it is that makes me feel sick!

I also flirt with Obsession on evenings out / in the winter [old skool] but it is very strong and heady so only needs the tiniest dab.

MammaTonic · 06/07/2012 11:34

Wicked thread, OP!

I'm a big fan of Samsara, too. However, I couldn't choose just one perfume. For me, they have to be strong but not overpowering, fresh, floral or woody. Faves of mine are:

'The One' by Dolce and Gabbana
'Flora' by Gucci
'Hypnose' by Lancome
'Issey Miyaki' by Issey Miyake
'Lola' by Marc Jacobs
'Narcisse' by Chloe
'Splendor' by Elizabeth Arden

If I had to pick just one, it would be 'The One' :)

MammaTonic · 06/07/2012 11:36

Another fan of 'Cashmere Mist ' by DKNY

SoozyWoozy · 06/07/2012 11:39

Hugo Deep Red
