Inspired by replies on another thread-

I LOVE perfume-never leave the house without it.

I am attracted to very strong musky or woodsy smells.

At the moment I have-

Boudoir
Knowing
Agent provacateur
Naughty alice
Samsara
Mitsouko

But if I could only wear one perfume for the rest of my life it would definately be.......Samsara!!

What is your forever perfume?

I know it's a cliche but I have worn White Musk for years and had loads of positive comments from men. I still love it now as an everyday one whilst I save up for a posh bottle of an old classic.

What is lovely about Guerlain perfumes is the fact they are almost several perfumes in one. They smell differently depending on how long you wear them. I know all perfumes do this but not to teh same extent as Guerlain, imo. Shalimar smells completely differently when you first put it on (not that nice imo) but smells divine at the end of the night.

whooosh · 08/07/2012 00:20

Tiempe Passate by Antonia's Flowers fooking expensive only available in space NK-- is just divine.....I love it but also people ask "what is that lovely smell?"
The original Van Cleef and Arpels for evening/night
Lovely (such a bad branding exercise) by SJP as light, daytime fragrance.

Thank you Guccigirly Smile Did you see my next post ? I wandered into a serious debate about vaccinating children - bringing my 'corset ripping DH' with me Grin Blush.

What cracked me up was they carried on regardless, talking medical science, ethics and medical research findings.

Bit like you would if a naughty child interrupted your serious conversation really Grin Grin.

Hmm

Anyone ever used Jicky by Guerlain? apparently one of their oldest perfumes, had a spray once in John Lewis, but the salesgirl said they could only order it. Expensive but supposedly sexiest perfume ever!

YouOldSlag · 09/07/2012 09:59

Jackie Onassis used to wear Jicky.

lauratheexplorer · 09/07/2012 10:10

The Body Shop Vanilla EDT. It has now been discontinued but I've been wearing it since I was fifteen and translates well through the seasons. They have a body mist which smells the same but is not as long lasting :(

I love Marc Jacobs Daisy and Sarah Jessica Parker's NYC too.

YouOldSlag · 09/07/2012 10:19

Ah yes, Bidy Shop Vanilla, I used to get lots of compliments with that one!

I really miss that lovely table of glass perfume jars they used to have in the Body Shop. You could try them on and then go and buy a little plastic bottle of it. I wish they would do that again!

YouOldSlag · 09/07/2012 10:19

Ahem, Body Shop, not Bidy Shop.

Fozzleyplum · 13/10/2012 21:33

I ALWAYS wear perfume. When I was growing up, it was something I'd promised myself I'd do as soon as I could afford it.

RL Safari would be my "desert island" scent.
Also, I love most Guerlain ones - esp Jicky. Also Opium or Cinnabar - love the spiciness. I often put on a drop of Opium before I go to bed; for some reason, it makes me sleep better.

I hate many of the modern scents - they are too obvious and sweet, and too many of them smell like chocolate or air freshener.

Trousersrolled · 14/10/2012 07:31

Only one? Amarige.

madamecake · 14/10/2012 08:18

moonblush, I love next define too. I think it's supposed to smell like Emporio Armani She. So may have to try that.
But absolute favourite is D and G The One.

Aquelven · 14/10/2012 08:38

If it had to be just one then

Rochas Femme

But I would mourn Chanel No5 which is my daytime/summer forever scent.

When I was younger it was Miss Dior, but the original, smelt it recently & it's a shadow of it's former self....gutted!
