New thread!

The fake tan is on (with requisite orange patches, naturally) and hair is done. I'm on countdown to Big Night Out, aware that will have to get ready whilst putting 2 DC to bed.

40bum lady is wearing my black suede Zara sandals today. I heartily recommend. She goes out a lot, doesn't she?! Envy. I have a wardrobe full of going out clothes but not enough occasions to wear them all!

bloss is right: coats and warm jackets are the way forward. I am stupid; I have 20 odd blazers and lightweight jackets perfect for May to September but only 1 jacket and 2 coats I like for September to April. Must rectify.

ruby 811s for always not sure if these are the exact colour but they still have sizes. Am perusing the NAP sale still due to returning the Burberry skirt (fit was just not quite right) and having already mentally spent the money.... may post some more links later. Nice Stella btw hopefully

Feeling like I should definitely pin...maybe this weekend?

Hi emo - things are pretty good, we are adapting to our new arrangements. XP has been over quite a lot and we are getting on well, no arguments etc. Feeling quite happy under the circumstances Smile. My Dsis has recently moved to Sussex (from Manchester) which has helped, just back from lovely weekend with her and her family.

bloss hope you feel better soon.

decam good luck with the 50/50s

looby congratulations on the birth of your DS and if someone could pm me the name am intrigued... Grin

Fleecy · 02/07/2012 22:05

Thank you blue Smile

I have been through about half of the people I'm following and have been dishing out likes but need to sit down and look at everyone else's. It's so addictive!

Boo to the colds ollie and bloss - hope you feel better soon.

DS still coming out in new spots all the time and feeling very sorry for himself. It's horrid isn't it. Hope yours isn't going down with it rufus!

alwaysrunninginheels · 02/07/2012 22:10

breton that would be perfect....but the only sold out size is mine!!!! Sad
But if anyone sees red 811s in 27 let me know. Should have moved faster on matches ones but wouldn't have been home for the delivery for a couple of weeks.

Saw an amazing W&A secret Santa gift today... We're doing that again, right?

AmberNectarine · 02/07/2012 22:25

Aww, lovely pics SE, it looks like a very happy day. Really must buck my ideas up and get at least one of our wedding photos framed or in an album or something. The screensaver of my phone isn't really doing justice...

To be fair, 5 months would probably be just about enough time for me to organise such an event, given my incredible skill in that regard...

Fleecy · 02/07/2012 23:10

amber just seen about your beautiful DC on another thread - I have a Madonna-esque gap too. Just like Vanessa Paradis, Lara Stone etc. In fact, my Lara has one as well Smile

blue2711 · 03/07/2012 07:07

Morning. Feel grumpy. My wardrobe have replied to say that they think Bloch ballerinas breaking after 5 months is just acceptable wear and tear. Hmm, but I have primark ballerinas that have lasted years! Think I'll contact Bloch directly. Yes, I've worn them regularly but I'd expect more than 5 months out of c.£100 shoes. Can anyone who has had a better experience with Blochs let me know please; was planning to get a navy pair but now not so sure.

Right, off to start a busy day: toddler arts and crafts; seeing the torch; lunch at DM's; baby massage then a visit from a friend.

Have good days all.

Ooh, just read back: yes to secret Santa! Wasn't involved last year as too new.

VerityBrulee · 03/07/2012 07:15

Up early as builders coming to do a big job in the garden. Of course it's pouring and they'll be in and out of the house all day with muddy boots. I am dreading it.

blue I would expect longer from £100 shoes, I would persue that.

fleecy and amber I LOVE gaps in front teeth, Lara Stone is my absolute favourite!

They're here, have good days everyone Smile

Decameron · 03/07/2012 07:23

Blue, I think shoes lasting only 5 months is unacceptable.

Verity, your new shoes are gorgeous, really lovely.

Confession: I wear FitFlops sometimes too.

The Hush sale has started, I just got shorts and a top.

Breton, glad you are getting on well.

Everything, lovely photos, they look so happy and I love the bride's shoes. It is our wedding anniversary today, 12 years.Shock

I'm not going to buy the 50/50s today, just want to see how much I need them! I also want to go to Whole Foods, I love that place.

DonaAna · 03/07/2012 07:31

Blue even Zara shoes last longer than 5 months - in fact I regularly wear some I bought nearly 10 years ago! You can start an anti-Bloch campaign on MN, I won't be buying any before they provide you with a new pair.

Decam Love Whole Foods. In the US, it's nicknamed Whole Paycheck Grin

Fleecy, love the name Lara, considered it for my DDs.

The Aussie-Swedish wedding pics - jag gillar!

Decameron · 03/07/2012 07:53

I find Bloch quite uncomfortable so happy to boycott!
Dona, they opened a Whole Foods on the corner of our street right before we left the US. I had to be dragged away, I don't know if I was more upset to leave Whole Foods or Bloomingdales behind.

MarshaBrady · 03/07/2012 08:09

Bloch aren't solid are they. I can't even wear them.

Yes to SS again. We can show our stuff this time on p.

rufus101 · 03/07/2012 08:14

Happy anniversary Decam.
Those photos are just stunning SE.
DS1 woke up at 6.30 having been asleep former than 12 hours straight in tip top form. Then an hour later starts complaining of a headache again. Grr. Seems to have responded well to calpol though, so fingers crossed.
I can see how pin interest would consume hours of my time. Will have to wait till I return to organize my boards.
Verity, commiserations on the builders/gardeners. Watch them like a hawk and INSIST they remove their boots. I am always amazed how they look so Shock when I politely request shoe/boot removal. Er.... You are about to traipse up the stairs with big clumps of mud on your shoes.... Go figure. .

rufus101 · 03/07/2012 08:16

And agree re the Blochs. I would expect more than 5/12 out of a pair of shoes. Once returned a pair of boots after 6/12!

MidnightinMoscow · 03/07/2012 08:17

Happy anniversary Decam. Have fun at Whole Foods!

Builders here too, putting up the scaffolding. Awful weather to work in, its really wet again.

Hope you are feeling better Bloss. Good luck Amber

Back later.

notyummy · 03/07/2012 08:35

Morning all!

Gaps in teeth are cool. I only wish I had some. Mine are too close together and slightly crooked. Been toying with the idea of cosmetic dentistry but it is £££££.

Not surprised you are annoyed by Blochs, Blue.

I too have a pair of fitflops. V comfy and they get a lot of wear in the summer. Not the most stylish, I will admit. Lasted for years though.

SE- those pics were lovely.

Had done 5 mile run, shower and left house by 7 this am. Now on train to London in black/cerise P8 dress, nude fishnets, black heels and black linen mix jacket. Decided I need to order some more nude fishnets.

Rufus- I gave ordered the next strength up in the sizzle! And the night cream. And I bought that Barbara Dsly stuff you recommended. Was in Tesco on sat and they were doing 3 for the price if 2 in her stuff so it seemed like fate Grin.

Hopefully · 03/07/2012 08:39

SE that is basically a website of beautiful people Grin

Blue that's crap. Strongly worded letter time.

DS2 woke up this morning and decided to cruise, so sweet.

Must remember to check out hush sale later - I am bored of wallowing in size 16 post-natal pyjamas BlushBlush

FritziGreenEyes · 03/07/2012 09:18

looby Congratulations! Hope you are enjoying lots of newborn snuggles. Your DCs must be thrilled with the new addition to your family!

Can someone PM me the name please?

Hope the chicken-poxy DCs will be on the mend soon. I know I've bored you all to death with it, but: Children over here just get a vaccine and I have to say I'm glad about it.

verity and mim Sending you strength for the building work. I hate having builders in the house and always leave them to it. Ours always take off their shoes though so I trust them to work unsupervised Wink

decam Happy anniversary! Are you celebrating?

blue That's appalling customer service. I seem to be the only one in the MN universe who loves Blochs. Find them sooo comfortable and mine have lasted ages. Must be my strange feet Hmm

I'm surprised by the FitFlop love on this thread. Think I'd rather go barefoot Grin

blossoming · 03/07/2012 09:20

Was up at 5am planning lessons for the day feeling really bunged up and horrible. Got to school to find absolute chaos with half the staff home sick. Sigh.

Hopefully · 03/07/2012 09:40

I'm with Fritzi on the Fitflip thing. I have come to the conclusion that they are more acceptable in London, as so many people have them as commute shoes that one becomes immune to them Grin
