Ahem, I think I could be an eyebrow model...

I had my brows tattooed 10 days or so ago (as I MAY have slightly mentioned on several S&B threads). They were mad dark to start with but now look perfect. Super flattering and anti-ageing - noticeably better even tho my eyebrows weren't too sad to start with. You MUST all do it! Grin

Sorry to sound disgustingly smug - I just wanted to share for the good of all

picture please to prove your smug-worthiness! ;)

Sleepydog · 26/06/2012 23:32

Well if you think so ... Hmm

Ouch sleepy! Sad Honestly they're gorge!

madhouse pics on profile, tho that was just after I had them done so they're still a tad dark there. I'll upload a recent one when I can be arsed.

I really want this done, but I'm so fussy about my eyebrows and I don't trust them not to do it wrong. How long does it last? Yours look really good, they look natural, where did you have them done?

SeasonOfTheWitch · 27/06/2012 07:53

Thank you marzipan! so you think I could be an eyebrow model too? Wink

this is the second time I've had them done, first was years ago by someone else and they were fine but not wow enough to bother to have them redone when they faded. This time I deffo will. I've had a few compliments over the past week and I'm sure it's due to the brows even though they didn't realise.

it's sooooo brilliant not having to pencil them every morning and looking a bit groomed even without make-up.

They should last up to 3 years but will fade from about 18m to 2y depending on how well they're protected from sun etc.

I had them done by a women in Halstead, Essex - she was very precise and professional. I'm uber-fussy too, especially as I have pretty noticeable eyebrows (high, v dark and thickish) and she was happy to spend ages showing me the colour mixing and waiting for me to be happy, measuring my brows etc.

My friend had hers done before mine, she has much lighter, barely there brows and her result was very good too.

Oh yes, I see you travelling the world taking the eyebrow industry by storm! This time next year you'll be on the cover of eyebrow vogue! Wink

I think I might take the plunge, 3 years isn't too long to hide under the bed if it goes wrong.

HeartsJandJ · 27/06/2012 13:41

Seasonofthewitch they do look lovely and you are v pretty!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/06/2012 13:52

Is the tattooing semi -permenant (ie not like a tattoo tattoo)?

I did my brows with an Eyelash?Eyebrow dye and they look 100% better.
Not in the realms of Eyebrow Model.

One of my cousins does cosmetic tattooing (she's a hairdresser/beautician but lives miles away)

But she might give me Evil Chuckie eyebrows for a laff Hmm

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/06/2012 13:54

didn't read that bit Blush

Number44 · 27/06/2012 14:12

Is this what's charmingly known as a 'scouse brow'?

I've got almost no eyebrows at all

SeasonOfTheWitch · 27/06/2012 14:27

marzipan i reckon you could easily fade them quickly if you weren't happy using AHAs etc. They also need TLC for the first week so would prolly fade like made if you treated them mean during that time. Grin at Eyebrow Vogue

70isalimit Chuckie brows could be the new scouse brow*, you could be competing with me as a top Eyebrow Supermodel. If you have lots of hairs in your brows then maybe you wouldn't benefit as much, mine were v dark but not enough of them so tinting wouldn't have helped me, iyswim?

hearts thank you, i heart you! Smile

Number44 * scouse brow

My friend really had next to no eyebrows but her new tattooed ones look brilliant.

Ooooooo. I'd be like one of those colourful old ladies with cakey face powder, skewiff wig and wobbly, wonky drawn on brows (without the powder and wig obvs)

ThePathanKhansWitch · 27/06/2012 15:13

You could be a model full stop. Very lovely face. Your eyebrows are perfect. I have over plucked mine, I get them threaded and every time I go, I get an earbashing about them.Grin.

MistyRocks · 27/06/2012 15:59

wow

where did you go?

i REALLY want mine doing

shaketheshame · 27/06/2012 16:07

wow you are gorgeous..a true English rose !

Ryoko · 27/06/2012 16:15

Why do you look surprised in every pic?

waitingforgodot · 27/06/2012 18:21

Looks fab. So talk me through this. Do you go in with your brows the exact shape you want them and they tattoo over the top [clueless emoticon]. Oh and is it sore?

ThatVikRinA22 · 27/06/2012 18:27

my friend had semi permanent eyeliner tattooed on.....that i wouldnt mind having done.

talk me through why you would have your eyebrows done? or were they fairly lightish to start with?

mine are dark enough, particularly as ive gone blonde!

madhousewife · 28/06/2012 00:00

Wow! You look amazing, all joking aside you could model! You are definitely smug-worthy!

MistyRocks · 28/06/2012 10:30

come BACK season and tell us where you went!

i MUST have this done.

memphis83 · 28/06/2012 10:41

Oh they look fab! I need these done, My brows are very sparse

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 28/06/2012 13:35

They look fab, really natural. I really want mine done but am nowhere near your neck of the woods. Was it expensive? How long did it take to do them? Does it hurt?

catinboots · 28/06/2012 13:38

Can I be an eyebrow model too please?? Grin

I love my tattooed brows. They're my finest feature

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 28/06/2012 13:39

I don't care about the eyebrows (yes, they are very nice, blah blah) and I haven't read the thread but I've looked at your photos and I need to know what 'one week after GA' is all about.

I assume it's not General Anaesthetic? Grin
