Ahem, I think I could be an eyebrow model...

I had my brows tattooed 10 days or so ago (as I MAY have slightly mentioned on several S&B threads). They were mad dark to start with but now look perfect. Super flattering and anti-ageing - noticeably better even tho my eyebrows weren't too sad to start with. You MUST all do it! Grin

Sorry to sound disgustingly smug - I just wanted to share for the good of all

we need to see pictures to decide that catinboots :o

Chelvis · 28/06/2012 15:52

oh darn, I was hoping you'd say you had them done somewhere in the North West! They look fab, I would never guess they weren't 'real'!

SeasonOfTheWitch · 28/06/2012 22:43

Sorry for disappearing - RL and all that but no excuse i know.

Blimey, thanks very much for the amazing compliments everyone! Shock

I had it done in Halstead in Essex so nowhere near anyone on MN by the sounds of things!

Hilly Glycolic Acid home peel. tis all about the sizzle. haven't you felt the burn? Grin

cat i'm dying to see your brows and check out my competition!

vicar some people have them done because they have v sparse or light eyebrows and find it gives a better look than pencil etc. i had mine done because my eyebrows are naturally v dark and my skin v pale so they looked sparse and meh without pencil covering up the gaps, iyswim?

i had liner done at the same time as i had my brows first done yonks ago and they were.... quite shit. the women who did mine this time had it tho and it was gorgeous. if you know someone good then go for it!

softkitty it took two hours. they were £125 (ish, have crap memory for numbers) - that's half the price of a 'full brow' as i did have quite a lot to work with already.

it's a little oainful having it done but not off-puttingly so. i can't imagine anyone runs out after having one eyebrow done anyway!

and ryoko I dunno, do i? why do you think i might?

OP posts:
ThatVikRinA22 · 29/06/2012 20:31

thanks for explaining! i wondered.....but mine are like a couple of caterpillars and i have to have mine waxed to within an inch of their lives - my brows are very dark, i have green eyes, but pale skin and blonde hair suits me better than my natural colour as my natural dark washes me out....

i would go for the tattooed eyeliner though....

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 29/06/2012 21:24

Thanks Season, think I might start saving. I live in a major city so there must be a good eyebrower nearby Grin. I over plucked mine as a teen so they're really sparse.

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 30/06/2012 06:56

Oh good, I was hoping you would say it was some sort of peel. Let's talk about that instead of eyebrows. Exactly how much did it hurt/cost and did it make a big difference or did you already look pretty much like that before? I am much older/wrinklier than you so I need to know whether I'd be hoping for miracles. Grin

They look beautiful.

Where did you get your red mary janes? They are lovely.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 30/06/2012 09:54

DO IT vicar and kitty! Grin

hilly I've noticed a massive difference. tis is a miracle basically and sooo cheap and easy. I'm 40 and was getting some annoying 11s - its almost got rid of them and generally improved the clarity of my skin. this is the thread you need. warning... it's addictive! www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1456596-Sizzlers-Anonymous-Aciiiiiiiiiiid

mirai Yeah from a box! my bottom pic is most accurate as another MNetter asked me about it so I looked for the best pic to show it. it's a great warm reddy brown and basically my HG as it's almost identical to my natural colour. it's Boots semi Warmed Auburn Terracotta. Think they also do a perm in the same colour.

Eggrules thank you! they are these www.kurtgeiger.com/audrey-85.html but out of stock now :( If you like them might be worth checking out JL etc as they stock KG.

If not, I have other KG mary janes (not wedges) called Anita, they might come in red too.

Oh God I am so joining that sizzlers anonymous group. Of to do my ordering now. Will report back. Grin

catinboots · 30/06/2012 19:53

Anna - do you set put to be so rude on every thread you're on? Or does being a cunt come naturally to you?

What exactly is wrong with living in a council house? I know lots of lovely people (with very nice eyebrows) that live in council houses

Hmm
catinboots · 30/06/2012 19:54

*out not put

SeasonOfTheWitch · 30/06/2012 20:11

maybe i surprise myself taking my own picture, ryoko Hmm

what are you gonna order hilly? i'm excited on your behalf! i started with the 30% GA. just normal bicarb is what the neutraliser is.

OP posts:
noddyholder · 30/06/2012 20:33

They do look hard and I think are ageing but are a great shape but too dark and 'filled in'.

SeasonOfTheWitch · 30/06/2012 20:40

The close-up was taken a day or so after i had it done, they've faded quite a bit since (as they're supposed to). The ink/dye (?) is the same colour as my natural hairs tho so they can't really be any lighter. I do just have weirdly dark brows naturally. They deffo don't look filled-in - they actually look less filled-in now than when i used pencil.

But we can agree to disagree. I like 'em Smile

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 30/06/2012 20:47

I like them season and you do look disgustingly glowy in your pictures. Smile

MrsRobertDuvallHasRosacea · 30/06/2012 20:48

You are ridiculously attractive Envy

noddyholder · 30/06/2012 20:50

You are lovely btw I am just talking about those brows in general hadn't seen teh pic

HerMajestyQueenHillyzabethII · 30/06/2012 21:10

I live abroad and it is not always easy to get stuff shipped, but I am in the UK at the moment so I decided to think positive and order a bottle of 30% GA and a bottle of 50% (plus the brush and four tubs of neutraliser.)

I'll look 25 again by the end of next week, you see if I don't. Grin

cybbo · 30/06/2012 23:35

Season you are very purdy and I reckon a short modern glossy bob with a straight fringe would look cracking on you

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 01/07/2012 00:11

Can you put GA under your eyes?

Yes, you look very lovely Envy.

Thanks for that mirai I will check them out, although I am glad to be doing my novice sizzling in the UK, rather than in the 40+ degree heat I am usually in - much easier to keep my face out of the sun for a while! Although factor 50 moisteriser is the only way to go for me now. I have a mahoosive brown sunspot/liver spot thing on my cheekbone and I am NOT happy. Angry

I saw a woman in one of those tinted plastic sun visor things that American women wear, and it was huge and low, and covered her whole face like a welder's mask and I thought 'I want that'.
