I am probably risking a flaming for admitting to buying fake replica bags but i do so shoot me ;) Blush

i have hopefully this beauty [Link deleted by Mumsnet]

if anyone else is willing to admit it too, have you used this site? are they genuine?

i paid by western union as you can't pay directly through the website. this seems to be the case with most replica handbag sites but the one i usually order from you can pay via the website. i didn't use my usual one as they don't stock "chanel"

but i made the payment about 10am this morning and haven't heard anything from them yet Confused so am now panicking....although haven't yet received confirmation from western union that the money has been collected.

take it easy, if someone want to use or do something its his own business, we r not here to judge people or countries.
everyone has wright to express himself. and also i think people who write here all lives in uk? isn't it? so where do you live bienchen?

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 03/07/2012 18:39

I'm not in the UK happywithit. Do I have to be?
Yes if someone wants to do something illegal and immoral we should not judge...ha!

swooosh · 03/07/2012 18:44

I have two fake bags, all using the same materials and hardware as the originals. Including a LV bag with handles that 'tan' like the real deal. I paid around £100 for both I think.

I also own real Marc by Marc Jacobs and a Chanel jumbo flap bag and wallet (my pride and joy!)

I use both, but if I'm going somewhere where I think my Chanel bag might get ruined out drinking then I don't hesitate to take a fake bag.

happywithit · 03/07/2012 18:46

whats wrong with you? let her do what ever she want, no one is forcing you to buy them so chill out, check in ebay how many off them bought every day and came through the post, relax. thats not your bussines again

Losingitall · 03/07/2012 18:53

Oh no it's no ones business when children are being abused. Let's keep our noses out!
Jesus!Angry

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 03/07/2012 18:57

How am I going to stop her (or you)? Just trying to make you see how bad it is, but you don't seem to care. If loads of people are doing it, especially online, then it must be fine. Afterall nothing bad ever happens through the internet. Glad your ignorance is so blissful. Good for you. :(

I hope you'd be happy with your family being treated this way.

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 19:04

Laughing at MrsBovary and hiviolet wondering if OP is going to have the gall to pretend she can afford the real thing - like that's the problem here.

happywithit · 03/07/2012 19:05

you know what?
this my opinion, i will not have to explain myself to no one.
spend your £££££££ in what ever you want, and i will do the same, everyone is different. happy with who i am.
take care Smile

cheesesarnie · 03/07/2012 19:07

I'm glad MNHQ let this thread stay but deleted the links.

Fingers crossed that OP's bag falls apart within a week, or fingers crossed that it is a scam (karma).

Hope you think of this thread and the links included each and every time you use it OP.Smile

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 03/07/2012 19:09

Keep, I think it was more wondering was OP going to have to balls to tell people irl how she procured her "Luxury" bag?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 03/07/2012 19:34

Or even fingers crossed that customs catch the bag on the way in, and turn up on OPs doorstep given that she is responsible for the illegal importation of counterfeit goods :)

Bienchen · 03/07/2012 19:40

Still puzzled also why this would be posted in "Style & Beauty"; would mot "money matters" be a more suitable place? ;)

FormerlyTitledUntidy · 03/07/2012 19:41

Even Legal Matters Bienchen? Wink
Human Rights is another...

NovackNGood · 03/07/2012 19:46

Why would anyone buy anything by using a western union money transfer. That is the first glaring sign of it as a con. I've known people pay 50 % deposits on cars by western union and of course there was no car for sale just a photo of a nice car the conmen had taken in a street and posted on line for sale. There is one born every minute I suppose but do try to avoid that being you. Do not use make money transfers that are not 100% traceable.

Bienchen · 03/07/2012 19:57

^^ nice one Untidy, of course I based my observation purely on the opening post which was concerned with cold hard cash.

ouryve · 03/07/2012 20:08

I am utterly bemused that some people are so concerned that they been seen to be carrying the right labels on their bags that they don't give a hoot about how the people who made the bags have been treated - and that's whether the bag is real or fake. It's a bleeding handbag, ffs. Yes, feel free to spend money on what matters to you, but really, is your quality of life poorer for not having a freaking handbag with a status symbol logo on it than that of the near slave wrecking their fingers and eyesight? I simply will never understand how someone could comfortably put their own vanity and bragging rights above ethics when they can afford to make the choice.

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 20:21

Formerly, I'm not so sure it isn't that they're grabbing the chance to sneer at the OP, under the guise of outrage about human rights issues. Their posts rankle of snobbery to me - the bags "haven't even got the Mulberry typeface right" fgs!

hiviolet · 03/07/2012 20:26

keepyertitsin Biscuit

Here, that's my first.

At what point did I suggest passing a fake off as real was the OPs only problem? Just trying to understand the allure of a fake bag, that's all, because I don't get it. It would be clear to anyone who knew me, for example, that I couldn't afford a real Chanel 2.55, so frankly I'd look like a dick for even pretending I could. I imagine that's the case for most people who carry fakes, so why do it?

To the poster who said her fake LVs were made using the same materials and hardware as the real thing, how on earth do you know? Most leather, especially light coloured leather, develops a patina over time. That's no sign of quality or authenticity.

hiviolet · 03/07/2012 20:30

Oh, and I mentioned the incorrect Mulberry typeface to point out that the fakes aren't as "indistinguishable from the originals" as the fakers say they are.

I take it you have a wardrobe full of fakes yourself, keepyertitsin? That's why you think I'm being a snob for slagging them off?

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 20:43

Hiviolet So people who carry fakes because they love the design but aren't fortunate enough to be able to afford the real thing look like dicks? Fakes that are well made can still look attractive and be well designed. The poster with the fake LV made with the same materials and hardware as the real thing probably knows because she's had a chance to compare with the real thing. As with your Mulberry bags comparison. Why shouldn't she know?? You're quite patronising aren't you?

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 20:45

X post there, so didn't see your attempt to be bitchy, to deflect attention from your snobbery.

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 20:48

In answer to your sneering question, no, I've never bought or owned a fake myself. Just don't judge people who do, assuming they probably don't know all the very valid reasons not to.

AmberNectarine · 03/07/2012 20:53

Oh FFS, I can't believe some of the responses on here! Clearly some posters are trying to steer this thread away from the most pertinent issue which is that the vast majority of fakes are made by underpaid, possibly underage, workers in horrific conditions and the proceeds are used to find organised crime and terrorism?

Yes, there is the argument that luxury brands might not be squeaky clean either, but when you buy from one of those you are doing so in good faith. When buying a backstreet knock-off you cannot say the same thing.

We have a superb high street, which creates excellent homages to the bags du jour. There is NO need to bolster the counterfeit market.

MrsBovary · 03/07/2012 21:00

Perhaps you shouldn't read, and comment upon, my posts in isolation, Keepyer.

That was not what I thought the main problem. I also mentioned that I found it odd that the OP ignored the, very valid, concerns surrounding counterfeit goods, brought up by other posters here.

KeepYerTitsIn · 03/07/2012 21:08

Just wondering, MrsBovary, why on earth it would matter to you if the OP did pretend her fake was the real thing? If she wants to make believe, if it makes her happy to pretend she owns a lovely designer bag, why not let her, without sneering at her. Not your cup of tea, and not mine, but why judge?
