bump for you

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 23/06/2012 10:34

I use it, my skin is looking really fresh and bright!

Misssss · 23/06/2012 11:38

Sister loves it, It just dries me out and leaves black marks in my shower though. Make sure you use the real black soap, which is brown. Not the Dudu Osun brand which is horrible.

Would this help eczema or dermatitis?

NoGoodNamesLeft · 23/06/2012 18:45

I've never heard of it before - tell us more please, those who use it. Although, my bank account may not thank you...

Solo · 24/06/2012 11:07

Nor mine NoGood but my/your skin might! :)

hiviolet · 24/06/2012 11:11

I bought some from Akamuti. Found it a bit scratchy but otherwise ok!

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 24/06/2012 11:15

I use it for my dermatitis, my skin is smooth and not itchy for the first time in years!

I buy the proper Ghana soap from Etsy.

Solo · 24/06/2012 11:51

Thanks Lurking :) I will order some.

Solo · 24/06/2012 11:57

Can I ask which seller you buy from please?

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 24/06/2012 13:01

Sure! i use these two sellers for all my skincare and hair care:

www.etsy.com/shop/sycamoreboutique (These one have the better black soap)

www.etsy.com/shop/HeartJCreations (I get EVERYTHING from here, I have gone from severe to mild dermatitis! Grin Plus you get to mix and match scents. i even only use my hair care products from here!)

Solo · 24/06/2012 13:24

:) thank you!!

Solo · 24/06/2012 13:34

Gosh! the postage is dearer than the soap from sycamoreboutique! or am I reading it wrong?

misslala1987 · 24/06/2012 14:28

thanx for all the replies, ill order some this week. ive been using coal tar soap and have only seen minimal effect. yea i heard the dudu osun one can break you out. found some on amazon under a seller called shea beauty i believe, would that be the right one? ill look at the etsy one too

The soap I got from sycamoreboutique has lasted me over a year because it's not like a regular soap - it's so huge I had to cut it in four pieces to fit in my soap dish.

Sorry I chose ones wth the best postage to Australia Blush

Solo · 26/06/2012 00:06

I ordered a large bar from sycamoreboutique yesterday. I too have been using coal tar soap, but it's not done much for me either. My main break out seems to be a couple of finger tips with deratitis atm, but I've also had psoriasis and pityriasis and really hope this soap sorts it out.

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 26/06/2012 00:12

The soap is VERY..Sticky in texture. I pull off half a fingernail amount each morning just for my face. Any more than that and you will dry your skin out something horrific.

Have a nice smell waiting for after (I use a nice smelling whipped soap) otherwise you'll stink.

Good luck! Grin

I use it too. Have done for several years on and off. you can also wash your hair with it, and clothes if you are hand washing. I get it from Ghana whenever I've been or my Mother goes. Makes your skin very soft

The soap i have isnt scratchy at all. Its really soft and smooth.

Solo · 26/06/2012 18:01

OMG! You didn't tell us about the smell before!!! Shock
So, you use the black soap, then use a strong smelling soap after?

LurkingAndLearningForNow · 26/06/2012 18:22

Yeah. Don't bother with my face as I find it doesn't leave an odour. Because I get a good lather on my body it does leave a 'scent' like any soap does. I just don't like the smell it smells like something off to me.

Solo · 26/06/2012 22:22
Confused
MummyNan · 29/04/2013 07:17

I have been using it for many years and its great. I buy mine from Akoma Skincare www.akomaskincare.co.uk/product.php/447/black_soap__250ml__with_organic_raw_shea_butter
its does has a nice earthy smell but not unpleasant...Thanks
