Been wingeing about my No11s for aaaages, so had botox 2 weeks ago and the difference is REMARKABLE. The 11s are almost completely gone Shock So little faff for so much result.

So I want this to continue, how frequently do you all have it done?

Every six months here. Makes a massive difference and even when it wears off the lines are not as deep.

PorkyandBess · 18/06/2012 21:48

I had it in October, for first time - it is wearing off only now.

Love, love it. I also had it for 11s but it eliminated every line on my forehead too, even though I could still move it.

Added bonus - no headaches at all.

Can't wait to go back.

ThisAintKansas · 18/06/2012 22:08

I have it done 3 x over the past year (so every 4 mths). My 11s, forehead lines and crows feet. My doc uses a light touch so I dont have complete 'freeze', she just majorly softens the lines. I love it. Has given me a fresher look and eased my tension headaches masisvely as a nice addiiton.

I have been having it done for a year and I think I am going to be able to give it 5 or 6 mths this time, as it seems to be lasting a bit longer.

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 18/06/2012 22:11

Ooh, this is looking encouraging Smile

Every four months here. Have it done for migraine .

cybbo · 18/06/2012 22:17

I've had it done, just had my top up

I also love it, had it on deep deep line between brows and on forehead lines. All gone, completely gone.

I think it is more effective if you have really good skin though,my open pores are still there but at least with no wrinkles

how much did you pay, Miss B?

noddyholder · 18/06/2012 23:36

Twice a year. Love it too. Enables me to go bare faced and I am old!

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 19/06/2012 06:49

I can still move my eyebrows up and down but all the lines on my forehead have gone and the Dr did my crows feet too.

I paid £270, Cyb but God, it was worth it Smile

no one has noticed on me apart from a very sharp eyed and switched on friend who said I looked fresher and 'like Linda Evangalista' ARF

My next project is eyelash treatment where they dye and curl which lasts weeks for holidays.....and would love eyebrows to be filled in more permanently but don't want Scouse brow

I WILL GO BARE FACED GODDAMMMIT

peggyblackett · 19/06/2012 07:22

How'd you find someone good to do it?

cybbo · 19/06/2012 07:26

A reccy from a friend, mines a gal who works in a Medi Spa and does Botox all day. She comes to your house. Cheaper, and I felt more comfortable than going to a clinic

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 19/06/2012 07:26

Nobody has noticed here apart from DH, and that's cheating because I told him.

Really handy for work though because I find my ahem, expressive face is much more under control Grin

Report back about the eyelashes will you?

I think I might tackle my tear troughs next...

OP posts:
cybbo · 19/06/2012 07:56

I haven't told my H! I did ask about tear troughs from my gal as she does fillers too but she won't do that area....think that may be somethingI just have to live with

Nancy66 · 19/06/2012 09:54

|I've been having Botox for nearly 10 years now and the more you have it the longer it seems to last. I can go 7-8 months before needing a top up now.

thestringcheesemassacre · 19/06/2012 09:57

So Botox for you 11's? I saw a private doc and he thought I would need a filler for mine. They are v v deep. I wonder should I seek second opinion.
Has anyone had a filler?

MrsRogerSterling · 19/06/2012 11:35

Can anyone recommend a botox person in the North West? I don't have 11's, oh no, I have 111's. The middle one is quite deep!

pinkbraces · 19/06/2012 11:38

whats the difference between botox and filler, anyone???

alwaysrunninginheels · 19/06/2012 11:39

Goodness i was waiting til my hubby and i had gone on a course to learn how to do it for work....hows that for efficiency savings.....but reading this i am almost jumping up and down shouting "I want it NOW"!!!! Can't wait!

Nancy66 · 19/06/2012 12:15

pinkbraces - botox works by paralysing muscles and therefore creating a smoother effect. It will stop new lines forming and greatly 'soften' existing ones however it won't get rid of very deep and established ones.

A filler is a substance that is injected into an existing wrinkle/crevice and literally 'fills' out the area - so with 11s - it would pad out the grooves in the skin.

iknowwho · 19/06/2012 12:19

Can anyone recommend anywhere in Lancashire, prefeably East Lancs or Manchester?

madmomma · 19/06/2012 14:15

What age is it best to start at? I'm 33 and my crowsfeet are starting to turn to wrinkles. Too early?

catinboots · 19/06/2012 15:45

6-9 months.

I've been having it since I was 28. (32 now)

NarkedRaspberry · 19/06/2012 15:53

Does anyone know a good place to try botox for migraine? DSIL was talking about trying it but has no idea where to go. Do you go to a cosmetic place or do you need a specialist migraine/medical place?

goodygumdrops · 19/06/2012 15:58

What is 11's????

Nancy66 · 19/06/2012 16:01

I started at 35.

11s are the two frown lines between the eyes
