Botox - why didn't I do it before?! And how long does yours last?

Been wingeing about my No11s for aaaages, so had botox 2 weeks ago and the difference is REMARKABLE. The 11s are almost completely gone Shock So little faff for so much result.

So I want this to continue, how frequently do you all have it done?

I had it first at 45 I only have forehead don't have crows feet atm but wouldn't anyway as I don't mind those. It really lasts now. You do not need it before 40!

JackieandJudy · 19/06/2012 16:33

I had filler done last year for the lines running down from nose to mouth. I wasn't massively impressed, especially as a bruise formed on one side, and I spent about ten days walking round with my hand pressed to my mouth!

Having said that, if money wasn't an issue I probably would have it done again. And am tempted to try botox after reading this thread ....

peggyblackett · 19/06/2012 16:33

Hmmm...I need this I think.

I wish there was a solution for hands that look like Madonna's.

Any recommendations for m4 corridor or Brizzle/ Chelts?

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 19/06/2012 16:47

My Dr said that I might need some filler for my No11s as they were quite deep but the botox has worked really well so I'm not sure that I will now.

iknowwho, there is a place in Ramsbottom, Amanda somebody Aesthetics.

I have some friends who have been there.

cybbo · 19/06/2012 16:51

Same here, my gal said maybe filler but the Botox and top up were absolutely fine for my number 11's

I have heard of filler being used on microscopic scale to plump out massive pores though

cybbo · 19/06/2012 16:53

And you can get filler put into the back of your hands. But I bet its ouchy as hell

NarkedRaspberry · 19/06/2012 16:57

Central London or SW London for migraine botox?

noddyholder · 19/06/2012 16:59

I have skinny hands but would never touch them

MissBeehivingUnderTheMistletoe · 19/06/2012 17:04

Yes - you can Cyb. I saw some beforee and afters at the clinic I go to and it looked impressive but I notice my face more than I do my hands

They also do the "Madonna" eyelift at my place which I am am tempted by.

Dr Tracey Mountford in Harley St.

I see one of her 'technicians', Laurie. Highly recommend. She wont let you go mad. I started talking about fillers and she told me not to be ridiculous (I am 34).

cybbo · 19/06/2012 17:27

I watched a programme about ropey back of hands, mainly brown spots and gnarled knuckles. One gal had chemical peels on hands, one had laser which was so painful she couldn't continue. And the best results by a mile?

dermalogica hand cream

RetiredDJ · 19/06/2012 17:29

nakedraspberry Mr Matti in Harley St. A true gent and excellent work.

noddyholder · 19/06/2012 17:29

Oh god no age spots or gnarly knuckles thank god. Just a bit bony Grin.

NarkedRaspberry · 19/06/2012 17:35

Thank you RetiredDJ. I'll pass that on Smile.

As for bony hands, have you tried cake? It works for me.

thestringcheesemassacre · 19/06/2012 18:02

Cyb,
I think we don't live too far apart, iirc.
do you think she would home visit to Weybridge?
Much prefer a recommendation.

cybbo · 19/06/2012 18:28

I don't see why not. Or she visits medi spas in the area, I know there is one in Kingston I will message you her name and then her number when I find it out. There were 3 of us having treatment, I had 2 Areas and it was £170 .

thestringcheesemassacre · 19/06/2012 18:44

Thanks, that would be ace.

cybbo · 19/06/2012 22:13

have messaged you

SeasonOfTheWitch · 20/06/2012 00:02

ah, this is all veh interesting. the acid peels seem to have bought me a few years (i hope) in my fight against the 11s but i'm going to think about botox when i start looking frowny again.

i've heard another rec for Tracey Mountford.

Sorry off-topic but cybbo I have just had my brows 'done more permanently' and deffo no scouse here.

cybbo · 20/06/2012 07:00

Ooh Season, tell of brows. Where did you go and did they do those brilliant little individual hairs? how long will it last? how much did it cost?

noddyholder · 20/06/2012 07:40

You are up early! I also found that 1st time I had Botox it lifted my brow v slightly and took away that hooded effect and it has never come back even when the Botox has worn off. I think that is the thing I have liked most the smooth eyelid.

faustina · 20/06/2012 07:57

I like that bit too noddyholder - it's brilliant isn't it!

noddyholder · 20/06/2012 08:03

Definitely makes you look awake even when knackered(today)!

DilysPrice · 20/06/2012 08:10

Where did you get your peel done Season?
