There we go!

OP posts:
blossoming · 16/06/2012 19:53

Are things okay with you now emo?
That really does sound hard hopefully. I am a big believer in 'getting a book' for whatever problem!
I have bought yet more knitwear in the sale this breton. Good colours on me. Guaranteed to bring the sun out anyway! Oh, and am about to buy waterproofs for DS after a long planned bike ride with ILs that we didn't want to abandon, but it was carried out in torrential, thrashing rain.

pickledsiblings · 16/06/2012 20:00

Emo, thanks for alerting me to wine o'clock, cheers Wine. Can't remember the last time I had wine.

Hopefully, I really feel for you re: clinginess, I am guessing you have tried some strategies and they haven't worked. Maybe you could revisit some of them again and they may work this time?

Deca re: night wakings, my DC woke up if they were cold Could you try socks? DS2 goes to bed with a hot wheat bag which stays warm for quite a while - worth a try? Have been looking at your lovely bag on and off today. Do you need to unzip it to get into it or is it lift the flap?

Loved all the Gracie chat. Have decided that the full size grey one is the one to have but ££££. Saw this French bag site linked to on another thread. Particularly like the idea of this leather rucksack for carrying my new Macbook Air in.

Some great sounding outfits today and lovely idea for a blog MrsCB.

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/06/2012 20:01

Nice jumper Bloss - I love a bit of Jaeger and have a fab cream lace jacket I bought from there a couple of years back.

So still lowcarbing and really craving sugar - its funny I don't miss bread really but god could I eat some dark chocolate. However my sister has lost a load of weight recently and I don't want to be the fat sister [and I know that is sad/wrong on so many levels]

Hopefully - I feel for you. My eldest was a very high needs baby and god was it hard.

Seventh - keep meaning to ask is your garden a poo free zone now?

Just watching the 'what made us fat' programme on iplayer to motivate myself.

AmberNectarine · 16/06/2012 20:02

hopefully as you DH is home at a reasonable hour from work, can you not just nip out one evening? I am in awe of you coping on two pairs of trousers! You and bloss should set up a wardrobe streamlining business.

emo I know what you mean re. killjoys. I feel like going onto another thread and pointing out that Boden tunics and Fly boots actually aren't all that in retaliation...

pickledsiblings · 16/06/2012 20:07

NY, hope DD is feeling better. Loved the sound of your Ball, can just imagine you dodgeming at full pelt!

Saw a lovely cotton knit baggy breton from H&M on a friend's 13 year old daughter today that I must hunt down.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2012 20:26

Ah Hopefully so tough. I know how it is. Ds2 is good but full on, but now I finally get actual free time. But before that the thought of peeling him off onto a nanny or whatever wasn't worth the tears.

How old is your ds? I hope that you the same break soon. You deserve it. Can your dh give you this time?

Yes think you may be right about SS. We are away in summer only two weeks. Then three or so weeks in Aus at Christmas. But I care less about outfits then and can happily make do with older dresses I think, if it's hot enough. Definitely need a bikini.
It's the people I see in my London life everyday and also me, I get bored!

I will need to be very focused so I get the right things.

pickledsiblings · 16/06/2012 20:34

Do you still want white Marsha? There were some nice white dresses in MW sale, perhaps buy one classic white piece and make do with what you have until AW.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2012 20:36

Yy fab idea Pickled. I would love a white dress will check it out.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2012 20:38

Thanks Smile posted too early

pickledsiblings · 16/06/2012 21:12

Do you like this dress Marsha?

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2012 21:26

Just a little bit too many details for me. I mostly stick to plain. But thank you!

AntPants1 · 16/06/2012 21:30

Gracie seems to be sold out on anya website, oh well

pickledsiblings · 16/06/2012 21:44

What colour are you looking for Ants?

Portia4 · 17/06/2012 08:14

Morning Ladies, I hope the silence on the thread means that some of you are getting a lie in!

Last night we had a fab night in a really nice restaurant, La Maison, in Dublin. I wore my Zara black dress with the zips a la Wendy( but I had mine first!) with those miracle workers M&S toeless tights and black patent stappy wedges, a winter dress trying to look summery! Given the temperature here.

I am luxuriating in being the only one up here, with Ennio Marricone on Cd and My Wardrobe on the lap top, I think that I will buy this, I have been looking for a white blazer but this may be more practical.

Back to MW!

pickledsiblings · 17/06/2012 08:21

Portia, very wise decision Smile.

The sun is shining here this morning, hope it's the same for the rest of you. Have good Sundays All.

NotSoGrumpy · 17/06/2012 08:31

Sadly no lie in here. We went to bed at 1, DD2 was up at 4, fell asleep at 4.30 then DD1 came bouncing in to give DH a father's day card at 6. I did try to persuade DH that as it's father's day he might like to get up and spend some quality time with the DDs but no joy.

Portia love your outfit. We went for dinner with friends last night, I wore black J brand marias, old whistles blouse, blazer and black stroppy sandals I found at the back of my wardrobe when packing everything up for the builders.

NotSoGrumpy · 17/06/2012 08:32

My sandals are strappy not stroppy - stupid iPad! We're off for brunch and I think I'm going to need a large coffee.

Hopefully · 17/06/2012 09:34

NSG I love the idea of stroppy sandals so much more Grin

Portia outfit sounds lovely! And Envy of your lovely morning. I am the only one in the house (boys off to London to the zoo and fathers day lunch with DH, his dad, his sister and his sister's dad - not the same dad!). But I have tons and tons of work to do, so no time for fun. Have had a copy of Grazia in the sitting room waiting for me to find time to read it for about 6 days now...

rufus101 · 17/06/2012 10:19

Portia just dashing in to say those Barbours are 50% off in BTs!

blossoming · 17/06/2012 10:49

I'm in the mood for an IO order, namely the azure relaxed trousers, an essential tank and tee, a jersey shirt and summer jogger. Any comments re sizing much appreciated!

AntPants1 · 17/06/2012 11:09

Wow bloss can definately see you in the trousers. I'd say IO is generously sized. So perhaps a 10?

blossoming · 17/06/2012 11:22

I just want to try them on really ants. My success rate with IO isn't high.

Portia4 · 17/06/2012 11:23

Thanks for that Rufus will take a look.

Decameron · 17/06/2012 11:27

I also like stroppy sandals, NSG. Stomp stomp! I am on the lookout for grey Marias in the NAP sale.

I've been eyeing up that shirt too, Bloss. I agree, size down.

The bag is zip around, Pickled. I've seen those Nic and Nat bags, they are very nice.

Ants, call AH in House of Fraser, they may have the Gracie.

The prices really have gone up. I got my regular size Gracie for £395.

I think DD2 is waking up hungry as she insists on feeding herself now (thanks again for the books, Apuski, I owe you postage??? And congrats on the house). Also I have giving her half formula, half cows milk so it is not as filling. She slept 7-4am and then again until 8, a slight improvement. I might bring her back into our room, Bloss, if it continues but we have to move furniture out first.

Nice Barbour, Portia and definitely more useful than a blazer.

DH has gone to work but I'm sure I'll have an easy afternoon as his mother and sister will want to take the girls out to the playground and for ice cream, oops, must have hit my head!!

DH is taking a week off and two weeks off in August/Sept. We weren't planning to go away but he is fed up and wants to go to France. Anyone been to Antibes?

blossoming · 17/06/2012 11:50

So no one has the summer joggers?!
Bit fed up today, weather and Sunday school related (don't ask).
Hope things turn out just like that for you decam! Are you giving dd2 porridge before bed? Or picking her up at 10 for a dream feed? Really hate that stage when they're weaning. I think it would be great to get away, I've driven past Antibes many a time but have never been there. Sorry!
