There we go!

OP posts:
AntPants1 · 16/06/2012 10:30

Glad FCUK top is working for you EMO. Am I right, do you have a gracie bag? Hope you manage to have a good weekend. So sorry to hear about the tension in your household at the moment. It's rubbish.

NY that does sound like tonsilitus. Lots of nurofen. Can you get her seen by the out of hours GP? Hope the hangover clears quickly. Breakfast sounds lush. I am a big fan of a poached egg! Evening sounds fab.

I am off to a wedding today. Colleague of my DH so will not know anyone. Still am looking at it as a chance to spend some time with DH. Infact we had arranged for our nanny to come at 12. But having looked at invite and map we have realised we do not need to leave till 1.30 so DH and I are going to sneak off and have a quick lunch just the two of us! Am wearing red Jigsaw dress I got in Brighton- will find link- snakeskin clutch and Jigasw shoes. Will probably need a jacket of something. Am toying with Mint Velvet grey leather jacket. It's not very wedding though but gives me a rock chic edge!!!!!

Fleecy · 16/06/2012 10:48

Hope the heads clear soon ny and portia and that your DD recovers ny

Can't see your links ants as the website is having problems but have a lovely day and enjoy your bonus lunch out.

I like the fuschia best - but that's partly because I like brights and partly because there's a lot of gold hardware on the midnight one and I think sometimes it can be a bit much in the flesh.

Fleecy · 16/06/2012 10:50

Oh and Dec sorry about the night wakings.

And mrsCB I also recognise most of them - especially lovely to see EL looking so amazing at 8mo pregnant.

AntPants1 · 16/06/2012 10:55

I think this bag looks a bit Mulberry...www.jigsaw-online.com/patent-band-bagjigsaw-clothing/fcp-product/3323

blue2711 · 16/06/2012 11:22

At DH's father's. Is freezing. Am sitting inside snuggled in LV rises scarf.

Dishwashers are essential and I LOVE mine.

I think I need a min Gracie too - the cobalt for me I think. Never seen one in RL though, how much can you fit in one?

Love your blog mrscb but NEED to know who you are!

Have fun at wedding ants.

blue2711 · 16/06/2012 11:22

Roses, obviously.

blue2711 · 16/06/2012 11:23

Definitely fuchsia. I have a Mabel in that colour and love it. Surprisingly goes with everything.

Might read that mulberry thread for a laugh!

blue2711 · 16/06/2012 11:29

Ok, have found you mrscb. Very sophisticated. And really don't think you need to low carb!

Decameron · 16/06/2012 11:30

I have just been perusing GF, one nap per day and not past 2.30. The problem is she shares a room with DD1 so I can't let DD2 wake her.

Glad you have a working dishwasher again, Suburban.

No worries, NotsoGrumpy, hope your DD2 is better and you get home soon!

I can't open the links but the outfit sounds good, Ants and have fun.

I need a pink bag next. :)

Decameron · 16/06/2012 11:30

I agree, you have a great figure, MrsCB.

alwaysrunninginheels · 16/06/2012 11:50

Ahh but what a blue bag or a snake print one ?

MrsCampbellBlack · 16/06/2012 11:51

That's kind of you to say but I so do. However am 2lbs down another 9 to go. But lordy its dull and so hard when children are eating brioche and pain au chocolat for breakfast.

So whose geared up for the nap sale on monday?

Emo76 · 16/06/2012 11:54

Ants your outfit sounds fabulous.

Yes I have a standard size beige Gracie, from last year , love it and use a lot but notice AH has really jacked up the prices. Really good size bag I find and I love the chain shoulder strap.

Have ordered a mini Gracie in black and cobalt. One or both will be returned !

Hopefully · 16/06/2012 12:11

Leather bags on the whole are more expensive now - leather prices rose something crazy like 25% last year and 35% the year before. I assume it's why there is almost no leather on the high st now, and what there is in places like phase eight and pure collection isn't great quality.

There you all are! Great idea for a blog and all looking very well put together. Thanks for linking MrsCB.

I have two sleeping DC and nothing to do. Lovely.

Glad the dishwasher is fixed Suburban, although sorry that Gracie remains out of reach for other reasons. Has been a tense morning here too actually. To get a bit hippy-ish, I think a big storm must be on the way - I'm always like this when one is coming (a bit snappy and argument-picky). DH has escaped to meet some friends locally. Can't say I blame him.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturdays.

suburban · 16/06/2012 14:23

Grin Red about a nano second after me posting that DP's tickets for the Grand Prix arrived breaking the tension (he is as shallow as I am). If still in stock I will order a Gracie next week. Oh the storm has already begun here, but you are right storm brewing gives me an awful headache. Enjoy the peace!

Russianred · 16/06/2012 14:37

Good news Suburban! DH not easy to get out of a bad mood, hoping that time with his friends will see him being a bit cheerier when he returns. Which colour Gracie will you be going for? Am hoping MrsCB is right about them appearing at Bicester - perhaps for Christmas.

What is everyone wearing today? I love my outfit but cannot believe Im wearing it in June; cobalt 811s, 5050s and a black crew-neck Brora jumper. And I'm a bit cold.

suburban · 16/06/2012 14:57

Am in Topshop Leighs, Primark poppy print tee layered over a grey vest with a navy cashmere cardigan, cashmere socks and Ambush boots. Love the sound of your outfit, I am desperate for a crewneck cashmere jumper. It is freezing. Suspect we will have another domestic soon when I put the heating on to dry the mountains of washing he has just done Hmm.

Hope hangovers are lifting and Marsha and Hopefully are making good progress.

blossoming · 16/06/2012 18:17

Could you take dd2 back into your room till you get it sorted decam? Iirc it took DS two days. You could get ear plugs for your DH?

Have had visitors to stay but have enjoyed reading the chat. Just about ready for bed myself!

AmberNectarine · 16/06/2012 18:30

I wore my new Malene Birger Breton tunic over leggings (I know, MN cliche) with my hot pink Marant scarf, grey Jalouse and of course lovely green Gracie. Felt really good in my outfit, in spite of the leggings.

Wasn't too cold here, was fine in short sleeves. Sympathies to those needing cashmere!

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2012 18:59

Love the sound of the outfits today.

Amber love pink Marant and green together. Meant to say I hope you can meet us too in London soon when Red is in town (mid July).

Suburban, Red really lovely outfits too.

Ants couldn't open your links, but sure it was ace. Hope you had a fab time. Dh and I are planning to do the same very soon.

NY hope your dd is ok.

I'm afraid I have had to time travel to last AW and wearing Stella M slouch and skinny jbrands, plus Lanvins.

Definitely need about four or five new things to reinvigorate the wardrobe. SS or (pre-) AW?

I did get some stuff done today, am in the zone. Almost!

Emo76 · 16/06/2012 19:24

decam sorry to hear re the night wakings - I am afraid I have no advice to impart but plenty of empathy.

oooh amber gorgeous outfit.

Get well wishes for mini ny

Have just looked at that Mulberry sale thread - gee some folk like to rain on a parade. It's as if they lurk just so they can make the odd Shock face.

Time for Wine

Hopefully · 16/06/2012 19:27

I have been quite in the zone (although, as is the curse of the self employed, I feel I could/should have worked more hours instead of going swimming with the boys and DH), and am enjoying a thoroughly unstylish winter look of blood orange 811s, very dark navy t-shirt - the quality is fab, the colour appalling for me - navy waterfall cardigan and alpaca socks. and post-swim hair.

Marsha definitely buy A/W (or pre-A/W) stuff, at this stage you're hardly going to run out of summer outfits if the weather suddenly improves. Unless you have a glamorous sunny holiday on the horizon? I feel much the same about needing a few items to reinvigorate - I have lost the will to live with wearing the same two pairs of trousers (I am not exaggerating, I actually only have two pairs of trousers) on rotation with the same 3/4 tops.

Amber your outfit sounds lovely

Washing my hair after swimming reminded me that I haven't had it cut for about 10 weeks - no wonder I keep tying it back and thinking it looks frumpy! Can't go that long with a bob really. So need to find some childcare so I can have it cut, or have a cut to the soundtrack of sobbing (can't hold DS2 and have it cut, as he not only wants to be held by me, he wants a tour of the establishment too).

I properly burst into tears earlier over DS2 and the clinginess of doom Blush. DH was astonished, don't think he had any idea how hard I've been finding it!
