Oh blue I love those trousers. They look like the DMBL40 ladies ones- but they had sold out! Will definitely have a look for them instore later in the week. Just right for a/w. Thats why I love the links on this thread!

I cannot wait to see a photo of you two 'graduating' on the HoC Facebook page seventh!

pickledsiblings · 26/06/2012 21:43

Evening All

It doesn't look like printed/coloured demin is disappearing just yet, does it? Did you try the trousers on in Whistles Blue? I don't think I'd order jeans from Whistles again after the disappointment that was the navy waxed skinnies.

Dona, what a pity about the Monet print jeans. You'll have to seek out the pencil skirt instead.

Bloss, you have done well in the sales this year, haven't you but you've also played it pretty safe (apart from the Russian hat, but that went back). I challenge you to exit your comfort zone and buy some colour/print. That's a challenge from me and one from Dona.

Red, do you have plans to go into work for a few days before the end of term? I am so loving working 2 days per week in my new job. Back in again on Thurs where apon I will be driving hunky German across town in my clapped out banger (never did get that Mini), beats SAHMing Grin.

Reine, the colour of those necklaces are divine. They almost look too good to eat Smile. So pleased the fair went well.

Everything, HSM songs are really catchy, you'll find yourself singing them.

Sending you positive vibes lovely Looby.

SE I really haven't decided. I wore Me&Em, suede ankle boots and a blazer for last meeting. I was thinking maybe Agnes/suede ankle boots/silk shirt, but it's not terribly smart and I think I'd like to look a bit professional, iykwim. Alternative is probably apricot coloured jersey pencil skirt, but have no idea what top or shoes I'd wear with that. Think I will rifle properly through wardrobe tomorrow (that should take 30 or 40 seconds) and see what combinations I can come up with.

Oooh, exciting news here! DH sent me a wonderful email today informing me that he has booked a surprise mini-honeymoon in London for us for our first anniversary! (We didn't bother with a honeymoon after the wedding last year as I was still BFing DS2 about every 14 seconds...). It's going to be so fab! He has arranged and booked everything. We're going to this exhibition on the saturday, and I can go and see my sister's awesome handmade handbags in the shop, as she sells them there (obviously I have seen them many times in RL, but this seems more exciting!), dinner at Roux at the Landau, 5* hotel, and the ball gowns exhibition on Sunday. I can't believe how thoughtful he's been, am so excited. Also, the outfit planning opportunities! I have no idea what to wear for anything, will need to tip wardrobe upside down and work out how to look stylish at all of the above. Suspect shopping may be necessary...

Dona Grin at parsnip shaped. You are far too elegant to have much in common with a root vegetable of any description.

Day two of month two of Insanity today. I hurt. But I did burn enough calories to have sticky toffee pudding after dinner, so I'm not complaining Grin

Speaking of printed/coloured denim, I had to talk myself down from buying these the other day. Somebody convince me they're awful please.

Hopefully · 26/06/2012 21:55

Link fail. these

Hopefully · 26/06/2012 21:56

Oh, not a link fail. Blush [halfwit]

bretonbee · 26/06/2012 21:59

Hello - Feeling good because been a bit slack with the running recently but just been for a great run and really enjoyed it, especially after being stuck in the office for 11 hours today. Ran past a glamorous event in Hyde Park with lots of paparazzi but didn't spot anyone famous. Lots of very well groomed people.

Sounds like lots of good sale shopping. Good jbrand bargain decam. Also love the Marant dona, you should definitely purchase and love your jogging oufits too. I am also a sweaty betty capri fan (wearing them now with a bright pink sweaty betty vest top). I think my last sales venture will be a trip to Zara to see what blazers / boucle jackets they have reduced as am finding myself wearing jackets a lot more at work nowadays.

Very interested in the pinterest chat...sounds like something I would like to do if only there were more hours in the day....Smile

Wow hopefully sounds like a lovely treat. That must have been an wonderful surprise and sounds like you deserve it with all your recent move stress.

We will be at the V&A all day - I haven't been there since the fashion rooms reopened and I am really rather excited about a leisurely look round without the DSs. And there's loads for DH to see too - we've been there a couple of times together and cheerfully spent about 7 hours there without getting bored.

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 22:13

Oh no, hopefully, I like those! They're slightly reminiscent of the Navajo-style embroidered jeans Isabel Marant did last season.

Sorry to have missed you, decam, baby and I were in and out early. Can't abide town after about 11.30am. Full of tourists. I am Mrs Moody at the moment because we are overrun with tourists locally at the moment, thanks to some tennis thing that's going on down the road, I think Wink

Didn't get much in the end. My C/E grey leopard search has been futile. Found them for a great price in Harrods but only in a 29. Almost worth gaining weight. Did find the version of my beloved leopard T in the sale so snapped that up. Also found a Po teletubby in the local Fara, which made the baby very happy, but not strictly S&B.

blue2711 · 26/06/2012 22:15

How romantic and exciting hopefully. Your DH sounds really thoughtful. I love planning holiday wardrobes.

I can report that I did try the whistles animal print trousers on and they were great: very flattering indeed. Really skinny, good thick stretchy material. Nothing like the disappointing waxed ones which I too bought then returned!

Have night out tomorrow night, cocktails and tapas for a friend's 30th. Dress code: glam (my favourite). Am wearing LBD from whistles: clingy, bit Grecian, some sheer panels. The sort of thing Jennifer Anniston always wears. Wearing with bright pink Rupert Sanderson heels (their first outing) and AH gold clutch.

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 22:17

Would never get my DH into the V&A. He still talks with horror at having to see clothing exhibitions in the holidays with his mother. We still haven't had a honeymoon, either hopefully. I buggered the plan by getting knocked up. One day we'll make it to the Maldives...

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 22:19

blue didn't you have a baby about 3 days ago? Surely it's not right that you should be planning nights out in clingy, partially sheer dresses? Envy

blossoming · 26/06/2012 22:20

Agree with everything re jeans sorry hopefully. Hope you both have a great time at your training, and your anniversary sounds lovely hopefully.
pickled, I am going on holiday soon with a red bikini; a toucan print scarf; a green beach dress; a blue day dress, a green and white top, a pink top.....
I also have my eye on this bag although not for me Wink

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 22:26

Watching dross film Failure to Launch. Zooey Deschanel in it, just love her style in this.

MarshaBrady · 26/06/2012 22:29

Swoon at gold clutch and neon pink Blue. Love the Whistles skinnies.

I nearly bought Marant dress tonight for Saturday night but showed dh who wasnt keen which bah took away some of my excitement. I might link for more opinions.

Love those leggings Dona fabulous. And yes you are too stunningly elegant to be a parsnip Grin

Suburban good work! We have cherries, apples, strawberries and peaches but hardly any vegetables. Should do some. Garden is gorge, played all day outside in bikini and ds2 / paddling pool.

hopefully excellent you deserve it! Plus Seventh have fun at HoC.

Bloss great sales shopping. Bravo.

Smaller CEs arrived and right size Avedon slicks. Big improvement. Older ones are too big/baggy now. Not a good look with skinnies.

pickledsiblings · 26/06/2012 22:33

Yes Bloss, on holiday, to a different country - that's the equivalent of Dona's running dress-up extravaganza. Fight the fear Grin. Red bag is v. lush - buy, buy, buy! You can really appreciate the design and hardware in that colour vs black.

Hopefully, can imagine you as a Navajo - do they have plaits?

MarshaBrady · 26/06/2012 22:36

Bloss is it time for the big Balenciaga buy??

ReineDeSaba · 26/06/2012 22:51

Evening everyone..

You are all so lovely with your mother henning!Yes things are quite hectic at the moment but I am able to focus on the fact it is a short term thing and I will have to pay up for some chldcare in September to really give things a go.

mim yes!yes! to food blog.I would definitely follow,I always love your meal descriptions here.

I love print but I really don't think my bottom half could take it.Am jealous of you leggy lovelies who can wear it so well.

red I bookmarked that blog..it looks amazing!I sort of imagine fritzi's home to be just like that.

Am fascinated by the pinterest thing.think I will probably just enjoy other peoples' at the moment and see how it all works.would love to see ollie do one.

yummy what was that exhibition you linked to,I can't seem to find it now and it looked Amazing!

every if you have particular ideas in mind would be great if you could email me.I have not started/tried shipping yet but I am going to do some trials shortly so hopefully a possibility.

Thanks for all the kind things you are saying about my blog, much appreciated.

breton am intrigued by the event!what could it be?!

looby I'm loving having a new A and W baby on the horizon.Hope you've had a good day.

Your clever sister hopefully

lots of love to everyone.x

blue2711 · 27/06/2012 02:48

amber dress flatters to deceive! Sheer bits are strategic, upper back etc and it' cleverly manages to be both clingy and drapey at the same time. Plus yes I'm a very annoying woman who loses all the weight in the delivery room but don't worry my 2 beloved DC have also left me with no chest at all and a crepey tummy...

Would never get my DH to V&A either. Our holidays mostly involve eating and drinking Blush.

Hopefully · 27/06/2012 06:02

Morning! Meant to go for a run but just couldn't be bothered, so am enjoying a lovely cup of tea in peace and quiet for 20 mins before everyone gets up. Bliss.

Thank you for good-honeymoon-wishes. I am so excited and really touched by DH being so thoughtful. Can't wait!

SE meant to ask what you're thinking of wearing for hoc?

Decameron · 27/06/2012 07:25

That is lovely of your DH, Hopefully, have a great weekend.

Those trousers are great, Blue.

Glad you're happy with your new jeans, Marsha.

I tried on the leopard print CE jeans yesterday and couldn't get the image of elderly Italian ladies in Pucci leggings out of my head!. I don't think it's worth veering away from your style standbys if you buy something that you just won't wear.

Love this dress, I would definitely get it if I were working. And hadn't blown all my money. I am putting myself on a shopping ban for two months, well, apart from the R&B sale and jeans when my friend goes to the US.

That bag is fab, Bloss, please can I tag along when you go to buy it? :)

OllieinOrange · 27/06/2012 07:51

Reine I am selflessly volunteering myself for any overseas postage trial you do in the future Smile
I have a Pinterest account - put lots on my Christmas board and then gave up. Have just started a wardrobe wish list one tho. Should really use them more.

Hopefully What a lovely sounding weekend, well done Mr Hopefully.

Blue love the sound of your LBD ensemble. Love JA's style.

Red great blog link. Wish it gave more details of where things were from. i adored that navy top with the printed sleeves the Editor in the latest entry was wearing.

Meeting friends for coffee this morning. Am tempted to wear new stripey Zara jacket, which I am keeping. Yes!
