amber I was in matches in richmond on the weekend and they had a sparkley red mini Gracie in the sale...just saying !!

blue2711 · 26/06/2012 02:27

emo, I definitely think you should get rid of the cobalt Gracie and sell it to me pretty please! Wink. Seriously, I ummed and aahed and now they're all gone so if you do decide against I'd love the chance to buy it off you.

Thinking of you looby!

Love that whistles sequin jumper, they do / did it in a gorgeous blush too but it comes up very very large indeed.

Tough day today, DS being a devil-child. Except for this afternoon when we had a home visit from his new teacher and he pretended to be an angel. But our brilliant junk shop find from the weekend has arrived: a large, antique French closet with glass panels in the doors. We've put it in the hall and I've hidden all our shoes in the bottom and all my favourite handbags and scarves on the shelves that show. Very happy.

blue2711 · 26/06/2012 02:34

Always love your late night posts annie, you always sound so content. Like your death bed theory. It's a bit ridiculous how obsessed I'm getting about DD sleeping (or not). Will try to be more zen about it.

Would love to follow you on Pinterest mim.

So sorry about your sister mrscb.

Decameron · 26/06/2012 06:49

Grr, just lost a post.

MrsCB, glad you and your sister are being monitored now. What happened about the bat?!

Had a quick look at FB and Emo, you looked gorgeous. MiM, you and your children are gorgeous too.

I agree, you're unlikely to say that, Annie!

I like the sound of your closet, Blue. We need more furniture.

I went to a meeting last night about DD1 starting in reception, it's going to be a long day for a four year old, 8.45-3.15 Shock

We decided to go to the west of Ireland rather than France and spend the saved money on a new car and more furniture. So no more summer dresses required.

Amber, I'd be happy to oblige on the red Gracie front but need to let the dust settle! I'll look out for you in HN later. I have a long list of jeans I want to try.

Red, hope you had a good time with your friends and see you next time.

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 07:03

decam I'll be the one toting a baby on my hip a la Victoria Beckham, as DD has decided she doesn't do buggies anymore. Interestingly Harper is her celebrity twin, DD was born two days before her.

Decameron · 26/06/2012 07:09

I should be there at about 11.

MrsCampbellBlack · 26/06/2012 07:56

The bat thankfully flew out - but after flying ants etc I entered the kitchen with massive trepidation this morning.

I am totally phobic about any flying creatures so it was not a good day.

Portia4 · 26/06/2012 08:11

Morning Ladies!

Wow Doña you must look 'Amost Famous' in that top, you must be a legend in your neighbourhood if you jog through the park looking fabulous like that!

Thank you all for comments re DDs. They are at a really nice stage, and I do enjoy their company so muchSmile.

Thinking of you Looby.

Mim you should do something with your love of cooking, a blog sounds like a great way of tipping your toe in the water.

I'm getting a 12 week blow dry this morning, I am blessed?!!! with what my hairdresser calls '50 heads of hair'! This is a new formulation, I haven't found the 12 week blow-dry as effective as it was with the formaldehyde! I'll be in the hairdressers for 4 hours!

Today I'm wearing raspberry Blochs, navy Armani skinny cargoes, raspberry vest, navy unstructured H&M top with white and raspberry embroidery, navy linen blazer.

Bloss I ordered 3 pairs of those jeans on Shopbop yesterday! One for me, one for DD1 and one for Dsis! Thanks for the tip off.

notyummy · 26/06/2012 08:22

Morning all.

Hope today is free of flying animal infestation MrsCB.

Decameron - I am sure DD will be fine. They are tired at first though. Summer born DD had an 845 to 515 four days a week because we needed to use the after school club and she was fine. Luckily she LOVED the after school club because the elder children all made a huge fuss of her - and they did cooking every day and made their own snacks Grin.

Enjoy the mini MU Decameron and Amber.

Fingers crossed that we have some Looby baby news to celebrate soon. Thinking of you Looby.

Love the sound of your outfit Portia.

Sunny day here and I am at work this morning before heading back for the Sports day. Wearing black maxi skirt, black wedges and coral TS top with a kind of woven sleeve detail.

OP posts:
blossoming · 26/06/2012 08:23

Wow portia, what a lovely mum you are. I need you to keep me informed on what tops you're all wearing with them!
Have a great few hours shopping decam. Hope to see some great links later.
What are you looking for amber?
Hope today is less stressful mrscb, mim and alwaysrunning!
Have a busy day today and reports ti write and a mil visit to look after DS. Will need strength!

MidnightinMoscow · 26/06/2012 08:31

Portia, you are such a stylish mum! Blow dry sounds great - very time saving.

Thanks Decam for the nice comments. Have a fab few hours this morning.

Another sunny start here today, and DS is in nursery correctly.

Back on the diet though, have fallen off the wagon spectacularly over the last 2 weeks. Feel sluggish for it too.

DonaAna · 26/06/2012 08:53

Portia your outfit sounds lovely, I'm dying for pics! Also love the sound of a 12 wk blow-dry. Do mine every 2 or 3 days and although it's a good investment of time would love to have something more permanent.

Bloss good luck with MIL!

Very unispired about cooking today, will do a mushroom risotto to save time. I make it in a pressure cooker in about 10 minutes.

Too hot for jeans, hence watermelon Maxmara and nude Castaners (I sprayed them with nubuck spray and then forgot them on the terrace for 48 hrs - oh well...)

Re: Marant dress - yes or no?

MarshaBrady · 26/06/2012 08:54

One good thing about a nap then late to bed is the long sleep in the morning. Time for a peaceful coffee in the garden.

Red I think those that can make it are quite flexible so just let us know when you are in London. I'll pm you the names later on.

We are buggy free here too hence the need for flat Lanvins and small bag. He walks everywhere but then there's the odd carry.

alwaysrunninginheels · 26/06/2012 09:08

portia your running outfit sounds fabulous! It must be lovely to be living somewhere so stylish!

mrscb hope this morning has been less animal related. Flying ants and bats sounds horrid. We have bats flying here at night but thankfully the closest they have been is clinging to the walls.

amber enjoy HN! Would love to hear what the denim predictions for A/W
Am thing of these but wondering if the coloured denim will live on as fancy 811s in shanghai red. How do majors compare with 811s???

AmberNectarine · 26/06/2012 09:11

I love the print Dona, but that is exactly the sort of dress that would make me look like a floral armchair. I seem to remember you saying you are tall and slender though, so I think it would work on you (esp with bare legs and a tan)

All about the colour pop accessories in Nectarineland today. White American Vintage l/s top, black TS jamies, Grey Supergas, bright orange Swatch, green Gracie and hot pink Marant scarf.

MarshaBrady · 26/06/2012 09:14

Dona I love it as it's a Marant, ie the print. I wonder if it will be too billowy but then I think you could work it well.

FritziGreenEyes · 26/06/2012 09:16

dona The Marant dress is gorgeous. Buy it or I will Smile

portia That is a great denim bulk buy! Your lucky DD and Dsis. Hope you have lots to read for your marathon at the hairdresser's.

deca and amber Looking forward to lots of lovely links later.

Just chatted to my sister on the phone for almost an hour and ignoring the pile of work on my desk. Need to focus. Now! Maybe start with a coffee first... If there was a prize for top procrastinator, I would win it every day Blush

MarshaBrady · 26/06/2012 09:23

I looked on the Matches site and yes get it, it's gorgeous.

I'm going to find one, I must!

DonaAna · 26/06/2012 10:55

Thanks for the style advice all! I'm tallish and gangly, so might give the Marant a go...

Someone asked what is the point of the Pinterest boards. I buy most of my clothes online: it's a way of keeping track that new purchases complement both stylewise and colorwise what I already have. This has helped me to be bolder with color - and has increased my hit rate with purchases. If it doesn't match my board, it won't match my wardrobe IRL.
Case in point: the new Lily and Lionel scarf. I was dubious but my board said yes - it arrived and yes, it complements many other items I already have and flatters my colors (a real feat, as grays are tricky on me).

Emo76 · 26/06/2012 11:20

portia what a lovely sounding outfit
dona Love the print on that Marant
hope the sales shoppers are going well!

am going to the one day cricket on Fri with clients - not in a posh grandstand but still... what to wear
