Ollie, I've had that exact reaction to codeine & an empty stomach. Terrible, still remember it.
Amber, thanks for the lovely Pinterest board!
Verity. One of the real advantages of catalogueing what I currently have is that on the board, I can suddenly see all these new combinations I wouldn't think of normally. So in a way I have much more clothes than I thought. Recommend this if you are in "shopping from my wardrobe only" mode. Also just one new accessory (such as the green Mini Gracie) or a new pair of bright skinnies will give a new life to lots of old combinations. Color analysis was very helpful in extending my color palette - now I don't just rely on two or three fallback colors (red, black) but have several more, although the bulk of my items are smoky blue, navy, bright red or coral. Yes, and of course still black
Yesterday, I wore red H&M Hasbeens, bare legs, watermelon Maxmara Weekend dress, and the green Mini Gracie. A really lovely and fresh combination, got a lot of admiring stares and some comments from passers-by. I walked from home to Piazza Navona in the heat, perhaps about 4 kilometres - Hasbeens are really good for walking.
I went to Dior yesterday and bought a bottle of Leather Oud. Dior is one of the nicest upscale stores in Piazza di Spagna - and not as expensive as one would think. Some quite decent things to be had for Mulberry prices. I love combining a masculine perfume with ultra feminine clothes.
There is a 7FAM store at Piazza di Spagna. I walked in, they had the Kauais in tiny sizes but not mine (29"). The material was lovely and the colors just right. So I ordered a pair from the MW sale - even with DHL, they are still cheaper than instore!!! Their Garden Party skinnies also looked fabulous IRL.
Everything, very interesting and stimulating links. Saw a navy dress in your links that would work for me too - but need to resist, as I won't be able to understand in October why I have all these sleeveless shifts. DvFs are very wearable - I go to parties quite a bit and love clothes that let me be me, ie, don't require any adjusting and attention while I'm wearing them.
