There we go!

OP posts:
Hopefully · 23/06/2012 22:07

Right, bed.

And still grrrrrr at poopy estate agents.

CHOOGIRL · 23/06/2012 22:11

That's a lovely dress SE Have you started with the wardrobe consulting yet?

VerityBrulee · 23/06/2012 22:25

Ooh, great dresses everything I found a red DVF dress today in a box Grin got it in the Jan sales but couldn't wear it as the house we were renting was so cold, even with the heating at full blast, that I could only wear it with thermals underneath and cardigan on top, which would rather spoil the effect!

Hopefully so sorry for you, what a nightmare. IME estate agents are down the with insurance loss adjusters as not very nice people (apologies to all nice estate agents and loss adjusters out there). Fingers crossed something better comes along for you.

so happy you like the Maje! I hardly ever wear it but thinking about my clothes has made me realise how I stick to the same colours all the time. I need to break out. Yesterday I had a few hours at the sales, and everything I tried on was cream, navy or pink. This means I have loads of navy dresses, enough cream tops to wear a different one every day for a month, and scarves in every shade of pink. Of course this is not a great realisation to have when funds are being redirected to dull house stuff and I had resolved to 'shop from my wardrobe' Grin

dec the jacket is the navy Zara boucle, sorry can't link from phone. Their sale starts thurs/fri I think . I've worn the jacket loads, a good sale buy I'd say. I'm such a newbie at blogging that I forgot to mention the jacket. I can only blog when dh is here in case I have a technological calamity. I'll learn. I hope!

VerityBrulee · 23/06/2012 22:53

Following the tip on the Zara thread I am now browsing the Zara Kuwait site where the sale has already started Grin the navy jacket is called fantasy fabric blazer and it's reduced by around a third. Fun times chez Brûlée, dh out for the evening, nothing on tv, so what's a girl to do?

Amber, I'm afraid to click on pinterest links and I know I would be sucked into the vortex. It's only a matter of time though!

Decameron · 24/06/2012 06:20

Thanks Verity. It's sold out, shame.

OllieinOrange · 24/06/2012 08:32

A feeble wave from me. A combination of too much wine at the school summer party on Friday evening on an empty stomach and nurofen for a bad headache ensured I was very, very ill on Friday night and was in bed all day yesterday. Slept for most of it and just felt v nauseous in between. Couldnt even face reading or looking at a computer screen. Better today but bit wobbly.

All a bit scarey. Was fine until I got home (thankfully didnt appear drunk school, can you imagine?) DH was quite worried as my eyes were rolling back in my head and I was asking what was happening to me. Can only think it was a bad reaction to the nurofen. Erghh.

Will catch up on posts now.

OllieinOrange · 24/06/2012 08:57

Amber. Like your Pinterest boards a lot. Great idea to do the Have one.
Decameron isnt that DVF lovely? Great blue and I love the fact its a luxe cashmere blend. So cosy for the winter.
everything great, great links. Loved my dress and Bloss's suggestion is just stunning. You should seriously do this for a living Wink
verity lovely to 'see' you on the WO blog. Lovely Zara jacket.

Looking at the Matches website, DVF has some great tops for A/W. My HoC blurb suggests chunky knits for my 'natural' CP. I love this dvf cardi. here. Too exxy for me at full price, maybe its time to start an AW Sale list?

VerityBrulee · 24/06/2012 09:00

ollie you poor thing, what a horrible experience Sad was it Nurofen plus that you took? I can't take it at all, it makes me so ill as it contains codiene which does not agree with me. Hope you get lots of rest today.

dec you might find one in store, I have seen rhem recently. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Another grey day here. Will it ever end?

AmberNectarine · 24/06/2012 09:00

Oh no, ollie, that's awful, glad you're feeling better now!

Poor you,Ollie, that is scary. I like that cardigan too.

Thanks Verity, that would be great. I am a 12 so probably medium. I'm going to have a look for it on Tues also.

VerityBrulee · 24/06/2012 09:06

Lovely cardigan ollie looks perfect for today whiich is a bit depressing considering it's June. Me & Em usuallly do similar chunky cashmere knits in grey for a/w. I have one from a few seasons ago, great quality and very cosy.

AmberNectarine · 24/06/2012 09:08

Ooh yes, codeine no good for me either, maybe that was it...

MarshaBrady · 24/06/2012 09:09

I agree SE you should do it, vg.

Ollie poor you.

I can't believe I don't actually have a decent indigo skinny. I have loads of colours and styles but not plain. I know what I want, dark colour and very stretchy.

MarshaBrady · 24/06/2012 09:10

And I hope you feel better, pressed post too early.

blossoming · 24/06/2012 09:20

Barging in to say marsha, google starless and j brand

OllieinOrange · 24/06/2012 09:27

It was a normall nurofen but on an empty stomach - and then wine Blush. Feel sick just thinking about it!

Views on this Vera Wang jersey number please. here
its textured, bit of drape, longer length and grey so in theory should be ok for me. May be too unforgiving on the upper arms tho.

MarshaBrady · 24/06/2012 09:28

Thank you Bloss!

Also noticed Donna Ida is open on a Sunday. If there is a range of sale stuff in my size to try on am going in and will try out the jbrands. If not will order.

Portia4 · 24/06/2012 09:31

Ollie poor you, hope that you feel better today.

Great links SE.

Amber I really have enjoyed your Pinterest board of haves, is there a wanted one too?

Verity I thought that was you on Wornout, well done.

Am wearing Armani skinny cargoes, breton singlet and H&M fitted denim shirt with new navy suede and taupe pumps, have given up on sandals for this year!

Wendy is wearing a great denim dress on her blog which I can't link to, but decided to order until my DDs just reminded me that I have a similar Calvin Klein one which I tried on and found ?150 in the pocket, and then decided that it actually is really nice and put to the front of the wardrobe! so now I have ?350 to spend today ,if you get my logic!Wink

Decam 'hope that your DH wasn't too late last night, my DH went on a boys night out and is staying with a friend so, myself and the 3 DDs got dressed up and went to our favourite restaurant for dinner, I wore my pistols - in June!- it was bucketing.

blossoming · 24/06/2012 09:36

Thinking about you ollie Brew

pickledsiblings · 24/06/2012 10:05

Ollie, poor you. Take it easy and start by eating only small amounts if you can manage anything at all.

Portia, I'm sure you and your 3 lovely girls were a sight to behold all dressed up last night.

Verity, which one are you on WO?

Everything, some stunning dresses in that line up.

AmberNectarine · 24/06/2012 10:10

Wow portia, great find! Yes, I also have a Must Haves board, the theory being that I collate all the things I want on it, have a good hard think about each item and then buy.

Doing the pinterest thing has been funny actually. It's made me realise that what I thought was a bit of a mad wardrobe is actually very structured in its way. I really do have a 'uniform'. I also didn't realise quite how much I do that thing of buying something I like in lots of colours until I did this!

ollie I love that dress. Have recently bought a T by Alexander Wang top and it is lovely, hangs so well. Will definitely be buying more from that range.

FritziGreenEyes · 24/06/2012 10:21

ollie That sounds really bad. Hope you can get more rest today.

every Wow, I had the sweater dress already on my Matches wish list and the pattern of the other dress is very similar to my new CdC sleeveless shirt. SmileYou know that you should charge for your personal shopping services though

hopefully House hunting from a distance is really difficult. Have experienced shocking estate agent behavior many times. Doesn't make it acceptable. Could you stay in the area you are hoping to move to for a few days and have a look at more places?

amber £ 95!?!!? At that price I could book a cheap flight to London, leg it to Selfridges, bag the dress, back to the airport and still have some change left compared to the Matches' sales price. I am seriously hyperventilating now and have to remind myself that a) there is no occasion to wear the dress, b) I don't even know if it suits me c) it's a SUMMER dress. Phew, talked me out of it all by myself

FritziGreenEyes · 24/06/2012 10:29

ollie The Wang dress is great but if the jersey is thin it might show all lumps and bumps unless worn with serious Spanx I think. The DVF cardi looks very cosy. However I am not sure if it looks that flattering from behind.

portia Would have loved to have seen you and your three girls last night. Bet you all looked beautiful! And what a nice surprise to find in your wardrobe. What are you going to spend your "free" money on?

Hopefully · 24/06/2012 10:39

Ollie poor you, hope you feel a bit better soon. The natural in me loves the chunky knits Smile. I have a couple, and I get a lot of use from them. Also loving the dress. Maybe a teeny weeny bit dramatic, but suspect you could make it work with the right accessories/shoes.

Making the effort to mix up the clothing situation today - wearing hugely bargainous £7-in-the-sale Asos jersey pencil skirt in a kind of coral-apricot colour and cream Splendid racer-back vest - really need another couple, mine is getting so tatty now. Will add leather jacket and suede ankle boots on the off chance I actually leave the house today. It's nice to wear something other than two pairs of jeans in rotation, I have to say! I feel almost stylish Grin. Am going to go through wardrobe today and see what I need.

SE that reminds me, I have a pair of houli-alikes that you loaned me to try on. Do you want them back to ebay? If they're going to charity I can do that for you - I have a bag accumulating in the corner of the room. Also have a book of yours. And thanks for the push to re-read Master Your Metabolism - I raced through it so quickly and excitedly the first time that I missed lots of the finer details, so it's really interesting to re-read now that I've taken the main principles on board.
