There we go!

OP posts:
blossoming · 22/06/2012 13:31

They're the super skinny/leggings 901 in Pitch portia.

hopefully, sounds very exciting indeed. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for all your concernvre DH. We are both paranoid about ill health.

Hopefully · 22/06/2012 13:35

Does anyone else find Pure Collection's habit of dressing the same discount up 42 different ways tiresome? The shirt I want has been down to £75 on and off for about 3 months now, not even low stock in any sizes, and still not reduce further. Hope they do so soon.

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/06/2012 13:48

Bloss - good that your DH is getting futher investigations. My sister has recently been diagnosed with a heart condition and I've had various tests which were all clear but now need to have them all every 2 years. My sister is now under the care of the hospital in Oxford and having lots of genetic testing as well which is all excellent. However in the beginning it was shocking how long it took for it to be properly checked. She had a routine ecg for something else which picked up the problem but it took a month for the hospital to notify her and her condition is potentially pretty serious.

It is freezing here and I've been at a country park on a nursery trip all morning - I did not find it fun [understatement]. I mean its June and I was in 3 layers, a cagoule and boots - just not funny any more.

Fritzi - love the blouse - so pretty.

Ollie - ooooh which pale pink blouse did you get?

Decameron · 22/06/2012 14:07

DonaAna, I am really enjoying your posts. I love Italy and spent a lot of time there when I was younger.

Fritzi, I like all your recent purchases especially the blouse.

Bretonbee, lovely skirt and shoes.

Hopefully, good luck with the viewing.

Amber, from your photos you certainly don't look as if you need botox. I am not tempted yet but maybe in a few more years when I am a haggard old crone.

Portia, J Brand Marias and Majors are nice too, as well as 811s. My neighbour goes regularly to the US, it's so handy as she is always offers to bring me stuff back. No lidos but were you not forced at school to swim in the outdoor pool whatever the weather in the summer term? I was, brrrr.

Bloss, glad they are monitoring your DH (and your sister, MrsCB). I really like your Russian style hat. MiM and Red should get one!

I didn't like the DP dresses or the Roxanne jeans (too big at the waist and not skinny enough). I ordered a striped tank top, pale grey cardigan and pale grey seam back tee shirt in the Whistles sale.

I spent the morning clearing out shoes (DD2 thought it was great craic) and was ruthless, even the two pairs of unworn Stuart Weitzman have gone to the charity shop. Such a waste but I won't wear them and eBay and I are not friends since someone hacked into my account and started a scam selling (but failing to deliver) tractors in my name!

blossoming · 22/06/2012 14:32

I'm sure you must all have been petrified mrscb. Glad you're all being monitored now. I agree that caghoules are not funny at all. Flaming June indeed. I am dressed for two seasons. Wearing ankle length black trousers and ballet flats, but with the jigsaw wine coloured wrap jumper and slate vest. My top half is cosy, feet are freezing.
SB order due this afternoon decam, I will report back on the hat! It was on a bit of a whim really. Have high hopes for that order. DH wants to shred with me later. Gulp.
I think I will follow your lead and just take things to Tenovus. Sounds like you've been pretty ruthless though!

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 14:49

Dec I have a pair of 7FAM Roxannes but almost never wear them. Not skinny enough - but too skinny to be considered straight. Still thinking about 7FAM Kauais though... They are too pretty and I'd have a lot to wear them with.

Another easy way to style the Onlys or any grayish blue floral jeans: fluorescent ballerinas. My old bright orange Stylesnobs look lovely with an otherwise very sober and conservative outfit of white shirt and storm-blue Lily.

Floral denim seems to be a novelty in Rome. Thanks so much for the inspiration: someone shouted "Ciao bella" when I walked down the street back from lunch - I'm also approaching my life-starts-at-whenever B-Day, so I don't hear it often enough Wink

I had my colors done almost a year ago and what a revelation! Nearly any new addition to wardrobe can be worn with any old piece = infinite possibilities!

Accidentally stained my new yellow dress with Armani lipstick. Soap + water -> no effect whatsoever. Thought had ruined it for good. Frantic googling: spraying with hairpray and then washing it with dishwashing liquid removed everything!

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2012 15:30

Fritzi Dona Sounds like the floral skinny is a good thing.

Have ordered current/elliot ones.

suburban · 22/06/2012 16:21

sale pistols klaxon

I am just recovering from a hideous morning at softplay. Forgot my purse, had to queue in the rain to get in, was so busy two ladies decided to sling my bag and coat onto the floor whilst we were in the loo and take our table [hmmm].

Love all the floral jeans reports though. I love mine.

suburban · 22/06/2012 16:22

Sorry meant to say so glad your DH is ok and they are taking it seriously Blossoming, must be incredibly nerve wracking

Fleecy · 22/06/2012 17:12

Client meeting went well. Clearly down to Davina Wink Interesting reading your posts dona as I don't get on with black and feel much more confident in navy because I know it suits me more.

Do you know much about Milan? SIL has been whisked away there for her 30th and I was wondering if you had any shopping or eating recommendations?

dec tractors?! Of all the random things. Surely that wouldn't quite fit with your previous selling history?

bloss glad the scan came back clear. Hope they can get to the bottom of it soon.

suburban that's so rude of them!

Will you have to go and view the house over the weekend hopefully?

blossoming · 22/06/2012 17:27

Really love the sweaty Betty parka. Will suit my lifestyle and geography! Shorts and cycling top all keepers, but sadly Russian hat goes back. Deliciously soft and warm, but not me.

notyummy · 22/06/2012 17:33

Stuck in traffic jam on the way to Leeds with DD already sick once over clean outfit. Nice.

Good luck with the Mr and Mrs Shred Bloss!

Well done on the meeting Fleecy.

Looking forward to the bubbles that are chilling in our friends fridge....

MidnightinMoscow · 22/06/2012 17:48

Hmmm, the Roxannes are pretty skinny on me - suspect that's my chunky thighs then. Grin. Managed to find the exact pair I bought here.

Sounds like the Davina was well worth it Fleecy.

We have had so much rain here today, I sympathise with the cagoule situation MrsCB. However, I have it on rather good authority that the first two weeks of July will be fantastic weather .

MidnightinMoscow · 22/06/2012 17:50

Have a wonderful evening NY.

DH returned from Spain with a bottle of Bombay Saphire - limes sliced and frozen ready for G&T's tonight.

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2012 17:57

Ooh Matches have dispatched already. Super fast!

blossoming · 22/06/2012 18:14

I think they'll look good on you marsha.
Well done on the meetings fleecy.
Hope your journey improves and you'r soon in the hot tup ny!

MidnightinMoscow · 22/06/2012 18:19

Red, for your meal would you like to serve food to share i.e Tapas/Meze style, individual plates or one bit pot/pan style?

I will consult my hundred odd cookbooks for you...

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2012 18:23

Thanks Bloss Smile

I couldn't see your parka for some reason. Straight to home page. Sure it's ace.

Am happy to be getting a parcel next week. Been ages!

Sounds good, well done Fleecy

VerityBrulee · 22/06/2012 18:28

Sorry to hear about your dh Bloss but it sounds like he's in good hands now. I saw this yesterday and thought of you Smile

Red meant to say the other day how pleased I am you've found a good child minder, great solution.

Hopefully good luck with the house

Dona you should start a blog of your neighborhood. We'd all be clicking!

VerityBrulee · 22/06/2012 18:33

fritzi I have been drooling over your MD jacket for a couple of weeks now, I am sooo tempted it is really gorgeous.

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 18:47

Funny Verity saw that Raoul bag yesterday too and thought of linking here but forgot. A very good and stylish alternative if Mini Gracie or Lily seem too ladylike. Might consider it but have enough bags now for the rest of my lifetime the year.

Still thinking about 7FAM Kauais. Bad sign... I'm going to be up North from July to Sept 1st, so may need some cool weather clothes Grin Oh, and when my 4-y-o DD saw my floral Onlys she squaled "ooooh so pretty mummy". Normally she only gets excited when she sees pink or chiffon or sparkles Grin

Fleecy, unfortunately I know next to nothing about Milan. Have been there only about 3 times in my entire life, always just for a brief time, so no real suggestions. The Time Out guides are always very good if you look for good restaurant and shopping suggestions. I'd probably go to Corso Como to browse. Milan to Rome is only 3 hrs away by Frecciarossa and Italo trains, but seems very different in mentality.

Decameron · 22/06/2012 19:20

Nope, it didn't really, Fleecy. :o Some poor guy paid £7,000 by bank transfer and is trying to blame me for not cancelling the auction soon enough although he knows it was a fraudulent listing. I had no idea as whoever took over my account changed the email address associated with it. Glad your meeting went well. Davina power!

Lovely jeans Dona.

Softplay brings out the worst in people, Suburban!

Fleecy · 22/06/2012 19:47

Ah well, thanks anyway dona it was worth asking!

Oh poor man - that's a lot of money to lose. And how annoying for you.

Russianred · 22/06/2012 20:06

My friend got caught in an Ebay fraud swizz - in fairness, she had just had her second DC and was zonked. Someone 'overpaid' by £500 for her wedding dress and then asked her to transfer the overpayment to an account. And she did.

Had a very interesting morning at a coffee thing at a neighbour's house. First conversation I was involved in was one woman detailing the fact that her 3 DC are sharing a bedroom in order for her husband to have a study as 'a man needs his own space', whilst all those around her nodded in agreement. I moved on to discuss a lady next to me's pregnancy and she told me she was having a boy and was very upset about it as boys are very difficult to handle and are always so naughty (she has two DDs). DS was sitting next to me doing a puzzle at the time. I gave her some, in a kind but firm way. And then left. Probably never to be asked back.

Thank you MiM - have just made the Chilli from Jamie's America - with smoked paprika and brisket. Hope it is yummy - DH has been muttering about how you shouldn't mess with a chilli recipe. We'll see. Have just got olives/dips etc for starter and will serve with rice and a lemony salad. At least I'll have very little to do tomorrow. I love gin with a passion. Am going to get some in tomorrow and freeze lime slices - great idea. My best gin yet was with cucumber slices.

Very much like your floral skinnies Dona and Marsha.

Hope the viewing is all it seems to be Hopefully and you love it.

Decam someone is going to be very happy when they chance upon your Stuart Weitzman's in a charity shop!

CHOOGIRL · 22/06/2012 20:18

Fleecy glad the meeting went well.

Shopping is very very easy in Milan, mostly walkable. There is a beautiful shopping arcade near the Duomo.

I had a fantastic lunch here and would definitely recommend it.
