There we go!

red The story about your Opa made me smile. Swimming pool will be populated by old people this morning. Swimming in the nude not allowed here though, phew! Smile

OllieinOrange · 22/06/2012 07:44

Morning.
Fritzi WC dress is at my parents, they are bringing it when they visit in just over a week. Will await the "Im sure you dont really need another dress" comment.....
I too loved a lot of the pieces 40 bum blog lady picked out from her clothes party. Very HoC natural I thought!

Reine I just googled Tiger. What a great clothing range, have bookmarked, thank you I picked up a cheapy panama from a local dept store. Just need to pull off the awful stick-on flower it has on it and poss change ribbon as the shape and colour of the actual hat were good. Has a turned up rim at the back but still quite big to provide shade for face.

Bloss how worrying for you and DH but sounds like its all being looked into thoroughly. DH passed out in a meeting in a hot and stuffy room once - never happened before or since. Thinks the heat just got to him.

I am a complete wuss when it comes to swimming in cold water. Usually takes me an age to creep into the heated pools on holiday.

School summer party this evening. Rain is forecast but that wont stop my two going wild on the bouncy castles etc. Wanted to wear white jeans with new pale pink blouse and new tan sandals with bling but may have to re-think.

OllieinOrange · 22/06/2012 07:47

Go on Fritzi I dare you!

MidnightinMoscow · 22/06/2012 08:23

Good Morning.

Thanks for the idea of Golden Syrup SE, I had heard of that before so thanks for the reminder.

I'm not surprised you were worried about your DH Bloss. I had an abnormal heart rhythm for years that went undiagnosed until I started working in Cardiology myself! I had three procedures to correct it over the space of 2 years. Good news that the ECHO was ok though, as that would have picked up structural changes to the heart, which would be serious. If you need any info let me know.

We have a lovely lido here, which I would love to take DS to, but it's impossible seeing as he is such a bolter. I literally cannot let him sit on a picnic rug on his own - he is off like a shot. Means that lots of our activities are restricted.

Amber I would also agree that a good facialist should be able to help you. Lack od sleep plays havoc on your skin though.

Another grey day here. Wearing blue skinnies and a white and red striped t-shirt from Whistles last year. I had convinced myself it was short in the body, and therefor stopped wearing it. Transpires its ok, so I must have shrunk!

Trying to have a very organised day as DS in nursery. Hoping to get household chores out of the way unglam and then prep for dinner tonight, tom yam soup followed by bbq thai pork. Our version of going out on a friday night. Grin

AmberNectarine · 22/06/2012 08:26

bloss hope your DH is ok. Got quite worried about mine when he just kept complaining of being exhausted (not tired, exhausted, note). I packed him off for blood tests with lots of sympathetic noises (not usually known for a great bedside manner) and the result? He's just a total whinger. Fit as a fiddle. Not suggesting your DH is a malingerer like mine but hope the outcome is as good.

Hopefully · 22/06/2012 08:39

Bloss hope your DH is feeling ok.

Sitting here anxiously waiting for estate agents to open as a really nice house has come up and I want it. Will have to shoot down to the SW this afternoon if it's good. Argh.

notyummy · 22/06/2012 09:06

Morning all. Another windy/rainy day, but I am determined to be more upbeat. We are to see friends in Leeds this afternoon and the weekend will involve lots of nice food and wine - plus champagne in their hot tub Grin. It was there when they moved in, in their defence, so they have decided they may as well get use from it. We sat in it with snow all around us in January. Will be wearing my [http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-S2012/189503/784007/PRINTED%2BDRESS%2BWITH%2BCONTRASTING%2BCOLLAR Zara dress]] that I bought quite some time ago and still haven't worn! Because of the weather I am wearing over coated indigo skinnies with grey low heeled boots.

Bloss - hope the tests etc go ok for DH. Fingers crossed.

Ollie - we have our school summer fair next week and everyone was bringing in donations today. Fingers crossed for slightly better weather.....

Re swimming/lidos - I have rarely had the chance but love the idea. What I have loved for the last couple of summers is swimming in Lakes in Itaaly and Switzerland. Amazing to be submerged like that in water that isn't salty or chlorinated. It feels like satin against your skin. All three of us loved jumping in from the jetty at our Lake Garda resort into the lake and splashing around. We hired a pedalo with a slide as well, which was awesome (although quite a workout getting back into the pedalo...and dragging it back as the cuurent kept pulling it away.)

Yay, viewing house tomorrow morning! Hardly dare hope it might be perfect, but it's the first one we've seen that looks even close to ok - has a little annexe that could be perfect for using as a HoC studio, and a wood burner in the sitting room Smile

Annie well done on primark bargain shoes!

Your work outfits always sound so feminine and interesting annie.

Good luck with house hopefully! You're renting, right? We've rented our last few places and it's so exciting when you find somewhere great.

bloss I have a vague recollection that you like the boden chiffon placket cardigan. It's in the 40%off sale. I might be wrong with this recollection though!

I actually grew up with a swimming pool in our garden, very lucky. Am like ollie though, very slow to get cold and wet these days! And I do that embarrassing thing where I swim with my head sticking out so far out of the water my hair barely gets wet Blush.

blue2711 · 22/06/2012 11:20

Have a lovely time in Leeds ny. Hot tub sounds fun!

Hair appt this afternoon, really looking forward to reading magazines and doing nothing. Off to Cambridge tomorrow for late lunch with old friends. I must confess I get a little nervous about big outings with the 2 DC though: remembering everything, scheduling in naps and feeds, hoping they are both happy and well-behaved. Is that normal or am I just a completely neurotic, control freak mother?!

blue2711 · 22/06/2012 11:23

fritzi what are you wearing the floral j brands with? I love them and they fit so well and are really comfortable but finding their blue-ness difficult to style with anything but white (I don't really wear black). All my greys look wrong.

blue2711 · 22/06/2012 11:24

Last post I promise! Anyone seen or made a good Gruffalo cake? My DS is longing for one for his birthday.

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 11:31

Hopefully, hope the househunting provides some good results!

Amber, lay off the Botox until you are really old! The Nicole Kidman zombie look is such a scary example.

Annie, I've revised my work wardrobe a bit and will continue working on it. I often go for comfort and am a bit lazy, so too many of my work clothes are "safe" and dull.

Received the storm /smoke blue Mulberry Lily. Feel very very bad about the bag binge of late but... it's very different from Mini Gracie. Gracie is polished, almost prissy (in a good way) - Lily channels tough rock chick (who I'm not, but might need a bit of that nevertheless). The chain is the color of hematite and very heavy. The leather has an almost vintage feel. Love.

The cheap floral Only jeans from HoF fit perfectly (ie are incredibly tight right now). A very good dusky shade of blue, perfect for Summers. I combined them with a crisp white button-down shirt (from 4 years ago) and my trusty denim blue Havaianas and Essie Ballet Slippers toenail polish. A simple and fresh look - and I have a pair of Navy Vagabond wedges when I go out, and probably the green Gracie to add a jolt of color. DH has a day off work and will take me out to lunch when he returns home from the gym.

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 11:39

Blue, I'm thinking of pairing my floral Onlys with this jacket from the Matches sale and a white T-shirt or this sweater.

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 11:40

Sorry, meant this sweater.

DonaAna · 22/06/2012 11:42

Links automatically redirected Confused, mean the bright fluoro red blazer and the green sweater.

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2012 11:45

Big good luck Hopefully! Sounds great.

Annie fab bargain, and great outfit. Have a lovely homecoming. Sure you will!

Fritzi no more housey stuff. Well new floors through out but hey not really in the lamp league. I really would like glossy parquet. I saw some divine flooring in Elle Deco once. Hexagonal glossy almost cherry or something. I saved it (and lost it) and have not ever found anything close.

What a lovely Zara dress NY

Blue that swimming image made me laugh.

MiM yum. Love Thai food.

Dona great outfit, and description.

I need a big slouchy bag. But not while I'm still on guard of a toddler. I may get too many heavy items about my person rage. Wink

MarshaBrady · 22/06/2012 12:26

I like this with the belt.

Hopefully · 22/06/2012 12:45

It's a rental, so if it's nice I can pay deposit there and then and we can move in a few weeks, which would be really exciting (and alarming!)

Portia4 · 22/06/2012 13:19

Fritzi I love, love your Marant blouse. I have a pair of Blochs but am finding them a bit flimsy with the current weather and would like something stylish but sturdier!

Hopefully fingers crossed that this is the house!

No lidos in Ireland!

Dona Ana love your outfit

Sounds like a fun weekend NY

Bloss which Jbrands did you recommend on Shopbob? My Dsis will be in the US on business next week and is willling to bring anything home that I order online, so all suggestions welcome!

Annie Hope that you're not missing your girlies too much.
