ollie, dh has a seat for dd but I'm thinking about the summer holidays when I'll be on my own with them, and what if I have to jump off my bike quickly to help ds out with something? Just dreading the holidays really, and hoping I can go for long bike rides every day to save me from play-do hell. They don't half bicker right now.

Congratulations belsize. I think I'd send them back too. And buy a bag or two! Or make up. Definitely buy something for yourself. What about these gorgeous pink wedges. Not very me, but I do love an espadrille.

Random information: have done a few Jillian's since I got my heart rate monitor, and the most calories is burnt by doing 6W6P level 2. Also housework counts as 'walking 3.5 miles an hour' on MFP.

Who's got a NaP wishlist then?

AmberNectarine · 17/06/2012 22:12

I've got an NAP wishlist bloss, but did the stupid thing of making a big song and dance about not spending until August when DH did his Hmm face over Gracie (3 handbags in 3 weeks, remember?) Need to wait a couple of weeks when he will have forgotten. Don't actually need anything anyway, tbh.

MarshaBrady · 17/06/2012 22:14

Congratulations Belsize! What a nice dilemma, tricky. Maybe go back and see if something else catches your eye. But keep if not.

Ollie nice Whistles stuff, yes can see Red in it.

Bloss great site.

Annie hi! Did you have a nice father's day?

I love the late light for running. I thought how amazing it would be to run in some far northern country where it is late far into the night

MarshaBrady · 17/06/2012 22:16

Amber in a couple of weeks it will be in big reduction zone. If anyone can swing it, you can Wink

I have always maintained that L2 6W6P is the hardest single JM session Bloss. Interesting that it is priced scientifically. How many calories? I did L 3 and L4 Ripped back to back last week and that was tough. NMTZ today which was completely offset by the sticky toffee pudding j had when I took DH out for Fathers Day lunch. Worth it though-was lush.

Sorry to hear about food debacle NSG and commiserations to the Dutch Ollie. I have similar issues re friends Red only a couple of good ones within an hour and the majority up in Scotland. Feel like I am struggling to maintain links with work/family pressures.

Anyone seen the new comedy Dead Boss? Quite funny- am enjoying Episodes too. Finally got round to watching Borgen this weekend. Loved it!!

That thought had crossed my mind marsha. He has a couple of business trips coming up so I reckon there's leverage there. Or relyin on the fact that he never checks the bank statements and trot out the old 'what, this old thing?'

Sounds like a lovely weekend annie, I like the sound of your necklace. HoC tells me I can't wear gold but I do it anyway [rebel without a cause]

notyummy · 17/06/2012 22:24

proved scientifically!

A bit of dd cuteness. She has a very wobbly tooth and thinks it will come out at any moment. DH discovered a letter for the tooth fairy under her pillow where she asked them to 'check under my pillow every night because i am sure it will be out soon.' Smile

That is cute ny. Okay here goes: L1 Shred 134; L4 Ripped 156; L2 6W6P 201. There's a lot of cardio in it, I just remembered! I think I have 6 weeks till I go on holiday, and want a nice 6 pack by then, so will alternate L1 and 2 every day till then. Honest, guv.

blossoming · 17/06/2012 22:34

Mmm, I do like Ripped ny but don't think I do some of the moves right. So I get panicky!

blossoming · 17/06/2012 22:36

Oh, before I go to bed I meant to say, watch out for the Acne pistols on NaP tomorrow, because they don't have a 'new season' or 'essential' tag on them, so should be in the sale.

notyummy · 17/06/2012 22:37

Hardcore Bloss!

Agree with your theory Annie. Harder to make friends as you get older. Have met one good friend via NCT group and of course is fab to chat on here with like minded people. Just a shame geography/work etc means RL MUs are rare.

Oh that sounds divine SE. I've got to experience it, that lateness.

NY yes it would be fab to see everyone.

Amber I like your style.

rufus101 · 17/06/2012 23:55

Groan! NAP sale.
I am shocked there's so little calorie burn up with the circuit type training. Puts me off totally.
Had a lovely moment with DS this evening, when he came up and hugged me and thanked me for organising such a great birthday party. What a sweetie. Thought his dad had prompted him, but no! Really made it worthwhile.
Just finished watching Inspector Linley on the player. Great stuff.

Have you ever watched Pulling NY with Sharon Horgan. Very funny.

rufus101 · 17/06/2012 23:58

You'd love the West of Ireland Marsha. Gets at least 40 minutes extra of daylight compared to the East coast. So not dark till nearly 11 o clock at night at this time of year. Didn't think anything of it till I moved here.

AmberNectarine · 18/06/2012 06:53

NAP sale has started, and the De Manta clutch is included hopefully

Hopefully · 18/06/2012 07:53

Boo, not really reduced enough to justify at the moment. Oh well, it will either sell out or be reduced further. I sort of want a tab one I think, so I'll only contemplate the khaki if it gets heavily reduced. Love he shape of it do much though!

All feeling a bit blue round here - the DS2 clinginess is finally grinding everyone down! DH feeling guilty about going to work when original plan was for him to stop at end of June if we found a house, and I'm just sick of literally not being able to put DS2 down for more than 5 seconds. Sigh.

Went for a run this morning after a couple of weeks off, was really nice. Am determined to shift last couple of lbs before doing HoC training, as I don't want to buy expensive work clothes and then shrink out of them.

Hopefully · 18/06/2012 07:53

Morning

Decameron what a pain, hope I haven't spurred some kind of dishwasher curse. How was yesterday? I was reminded of BiL turning up at 4 o clock on bank holiday Tuesday a couple of weeks ago...
NSG I would also be livid, hope you leave it for him to clean up.

Sounds like a lovely afternoon yesterday Red. All my closest friends live in London it's hard. I suppose Annie is right though, when you are younger it's easier to make friends with people you have a lot in common with especially at university etc. Now I have lots of a acquaintances and a few good friends, but really the only thing we have in common is that we happened to have children at the same time.

I had a massive wardrobe clear out yesterday so satisfying and managed to put a lot on ebay too.

Blossoming I remember you wanted some snakeskin flats a while ago, I have these, now in NAP sale. They get a lot of wear.

Hopefully · 18/06/2012 08:17

Circuit training is a bit depressing calorie- burn wise. I find the best straightforward calorie burner is running, but it doesn't creat much muscle, so doesn't boost metabolism long term as much as circuit training with some resistance training like shred etc. Insanity (naturally) achieves huge calorie burn plus resistance training (own body weight rather than dumbbells) - I burn 400+ cals per session, and in month 2 it gets harder. Eek!
