Fake Tan

Every year I vow never again. But I have very dark hair, blue eyes yet I am very very pale. So much so that I have been consious of it since my early teens. Strangers have commented on it too. Do I bath in bleach? You would be gorgeous if you weren't so pale etc.

I have had a slight tan in the past due to excessive sun beds but since I I got pregnant 3 years ago have given them a miss.

I am not a lovely pale like Liv Tyler or redheads. More of a blueish tinge like corned beef. Not helped by the fact I have very transparent skin like a road map. No nurse has ever had a problem finding a vein on me.

Anyway..I have tried loads of fake tans and thrown a lot of money at it, this year since tried the best fake tan (Vita Liberata - you can see where you are putting it) recommended on MN and also invested in a mit with the promise my annual fake tan disasters would be a thing of the past.

The end result is much better...but my legs and feet seem to reject it. It still looks patchy and streaky and my knees, ankles general feet look awful.

I see these very fake tanned women (TOWIE) seem to have mastered it. No I wont go to a salon as it is bad enough to get naked in front of DP.

Anyone got any fool proof advice? Anyone have the same problem or is it just my legs that are allergic to self tanning??

Sorry this is a bit long...if you are still reading!

Anniewoo I'm still hiding in skinny jeans and tights for work after using the no streaks stuff!!

I thought it was just me, I sprayed it on and then thought Hmm I could feel it running!

I'm going to buy some of this miracle Moriz on Thursday, am marking my place and will report back Grin

I bought some of Asda's own fake tan but haven't been brave enough to try it yet...

Vicar can this St Moriz mousse be used on the face?

ThatVikRinA22 · 05/06/2012 22:28

ive used it on my face twice and no adverse effects, no blotches or streaking anywhere in fact.

ive only used the mousse on recommendation. DD has it too and she has had a similarly excellent result.

Has anyone used Skinny Tan?? Feeling myself getting suckered into to all the advertising!! I have medium tone skin that tans reasonably easily and want the longest lasting most natural easy to apply self tan ... what's the best? Thanks

eyespydreams · 24/04/2017 20:17

Where where where can you buy this St Moriz? And which mitt exactly?

User2468 · 24/04/2017 20:22

Skinny Tan, I've never used anything like it, hardly an odour and easy to apply, if you get the mouse only leave on for a couple of hours. Tan is the most natural I've ever had, I like to do a couple of light coats.

piddleypower · 25/04/2017 15:47

Yep I am a st Moritz convert after seeing it on tv on that programme where they save a family money off their budget by switching to cheaper brands (can't remember what its called). Anyway, I applied with a bit and it was fab, best one I have tried (and I have tried a few). But don't tell everyone or the price will go up!

hollyisalovelyname · 25/04/2017 16:15

I have tried everything from St Tropez to St Moritz via Dove gradual.
Dior, Vita Liberta, Cocoa Brown, L'Oreal, Clarins, Lancôme, Garnier etc
You name it I've bought it.
I am a sucker.
But
Yes
I
Have
Found
Something
That
Works
Well.
It is Tan Organic verified organic tanning oil.
You put it on with your hands- no mitt- as you would a body lotion. It has no guide colour. It takes overnight to come up. It is a lovely golden colour.
I will repurchase.
I also use Sally Hanson if I need instant colour on my legs but it can look very 'make uppy' on my legs.
