I loved that kitkat ad Decameron. I am sure she will perform for you soon. Having a (very) late lunch as no time until now and looking at Grazia - perfect antidote to 'stratified VC funding and barriers to growth' .... I am sure someone on this thread has the Zara waxed skinnies featured in Grazia this week. How is the sizing? I am usually a medium on the bottom half in Zara, but have only ever bought skirts/dressed/tops, not trousers or jeans.

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 16:34

Red - you did it! [so proud of you emoticon] You'll be able to wear the trousers again with some of your lovely tops. Good luck with sorting out childcare, great that DD has had a gentle introduction to the idea of it with your friend, isn't it?

NY I would love to be a fly on the wall and see you in action, for some reason I imagine that you are trying to stifle a laugh most of the time Grin.

Portia, forgot to say well done on the sailing. DD has started rowing and just loves being on the water.

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 16:41

I've got them ny, found them true to size, got my usual 10.

Well done red, Davina to celebrate?

My lazy lump still isn't moving at all decam!

rufus101 · 31/05/2012 17:19

Well done Red! I'm sure the out fit helped. Although I did comment to a friend recently that I'm not entirely convinced that people generally notice what you're wearing at interview unless you look totally inappropriate as they generally know who they are giving the job to before you turn up. She agreed and said "yeah. You could go in and pull your pants down and they'll still give you the job". I'm inclined to agree! (especially in our field as its so small!) I often laugh thinking of the mental image though.
It's a small, small world here in Dublin Decam and Portia. I see your dad all the time now Decam, particularly in the SQ car park!
NY I often imagine you sitting at high powered meetings ranking others in terms of fashion out of ten! And evaluating their ability to do 6W6P or the Shred!

MarshaBrady · 31/05/2012 17:26

Ok have sent location for Waft.

If I have misremembered your name you might not get the pm. Let me know and I'll resend!

MidnightinMoscow · 31/05/2012 17:27

Fantastic news, well done Red. Smile

Oh, 2 on the move Decam! I love that Mulberry, very good price for one of their bags too.

DP maxi's came today - both keepers as they are a good fit and easy to wear. But it looks like summer has now been and gone...

Thanks for MiH info, I shall wait then. I am really hoping that these go on sale, I love the colour.

blossoming · 31/05/2012 17:33

Sorry for posting and running earlier. Delivery of sunglasses and me&em maxi.
Very well done red. Will be fun comparing workwear links! Hope you make Dublin.
Sunglasses were awful, didn't fit at all. Maxi was worse, in fact made me requestion the White Co one. Might send that one back too.
Link me your shorts again decam Wink

Which maxi's did you get MiM Hoping to stumble across a DP tomorrow - and Whistles, Reiss, WC etc etc!

Hopefully I sent you a pm about Saturday evening.

Is the waft this WE too????

Decameron · 31/05/2012 18:13

That's funny, Rufus, I hope he says hello! He's a man of few words, I sent him a long email to say when we arrive, SQ delivery coming with the kids' food etc so can he be there for the delivery, looking forward to seeing him etc and he wrote back "Yes".

These ones, Bloss. Be careful when returning to Me&Em, I always return to them by special delivery as they don't cover lost parcels.

Nice jeans, MiM.

Decameron · 31/05/2012 18:15

However, he gets excited when he can go to superquinn when he has my dc with him as he can park in the parents' space. It's the little things.Grin

Decameron · 31/05/2012 18:18

Oh and Bloss, I was tempted to give the Me&Em dress a go, thank you for ordering as now I don't have to!

MarshaBrady · 31/05/2012 18:23

Ollie no it's next week. It's a shame we didn't combine! Be great to see you and Fritzi and everyone (not sure who is going).

MidnightinMoscow · 31/05/2012 18:45

this one and and this one ollie.

Also, as a hint - there are two Whistles in Brighton. The one in Duke Street is much bigger and holds most of the collection, whereas the one Nile Street is pretty small.

Russianred · 31/05/2012 19:12

Childcare is really expensive, isn't it?! I was definitely the most 'dressed up' at school today so think I'll be going on the lines of black trousers/blouses or dresses. Davina definitely too formal, unfortunately Amber. Damn it. Realised after having accepting the post that there was no discussion of salary. I overlook all of the important bits.

Rufus that image really made me laugh.

We have had a bottle of Moët in the fridge for months waiting for the right time to drink. Think tonight definitely warrants it!

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 19:16

Ooh yeah, definitely champagne worthy news. DH is celebrating our dept at work becoming a £100m business with free champagne, while muffins on mat leave here is trying to wrangle two grumpy kids into bed. Hmmm.

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 19:16

Should say muggins, obvs. Thanks iPhone.

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 19:34

Red, if it's in the state sector you will be on a certain point as I'm sure you know but you could also try to negotiate another point for your tutoring and additional skills that you have gained (esp. the media experience) since you were last officially employed in a full time teaching role. Black trousers is a bit like a teachers uniform at the DSs school.

Decam, your relationship with your Dad sounds lovely. You guys in Ireland should have your own mini waft with kids. Portia's lovely DD could keep the little ones entertained whilst you all look on adoringly.

My DH is of to the US for the whole of next week, he leaves on Sunday. What should I get him to shop for whilst he's there? He is willing to do this as he feels guilty Grin. Anybody need anything??

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 19:37

I thought muffins was better Amber Smile. You'll be back to work before you know it and climbing the greasy pole yourself.

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 19:39

Sad thing is pickled I'll be busting a gut all day and then racing off to collect the nippers at 5pm so I'll still miss the after hours piss ups! Ah well, a secondary earner's lot I suppose...

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 19:41

Ooh pickled, I wish my DH would get sent to the states once in a while - have blagged my way onto the odd business trip with him but it's usually Paris or somewhere. Sigh...

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 19:53

Could you get a nanny like Emo? She has a fab social life - don't you Emes?

Decameron · 31/05/2012 20:05

My DH often used to go to Tokyo and New York for work so I tagged along whenever I could, ah, the happy memories.

We are going to have a night-time waft sans enfants, Pickled! I like your t-shirt, btw.

I am going to attempt a dash to Westfield tomorrow morning, paid extra to have this delivered tonight and really not sure about it. Let's just say it would make a good maternity top.

Hopefully · 31/05/2012 20:06

Is it bad that I am particularly liking my post exercise outfit today? Mid grey 3/4 length leggings, charcoal racer back sports top and charcoal Sweaty Betty slouchy 3/4 length sleeve tee. And grey and blue running shoes. I am wearing this athletic getup to walk to the shop for chocolate, however Blush

Red enjoy the champers! DH randomly opened a bottle of fizz this evening, was lively to have a glass.

Amber make sure you don't martyr yourself for the sake of a nursery your DS likes when you go back to work. If a nanny would make life easier and you can afford it, get one!

Decameron · 31/05/2012 20:06

I preferred muffins too, Amber!
