Hello.

Thanks for the returns advice - I went straight for it, and they were fine. It was £38 in the end, which is not too be sniffed at!

In terms of the sales, do we think MiH Paris will go in? I love the union red ones, have tried them on, and they fit perfectly. Reluctant to pay full price though when the sales are just around the corner. They have them in the event in HoF at the moment, but sold out in my size.

Interesting to hear all the talk about legs and viens. I have dreadful VV's, had them operated on about 10 years ago, but them came back when I was pg. I use the Sally Hanson stuff, which is good but they have got far worse in the last year and am struggling to cover them. Shame, as I like the shape of my legs but not what they look like from behind. Smile

Looby lots to think about, although agree you'll need help after a section with the DC's and general household stuff. Its hard to look after yourself when you have some much going on, just remembering to put your TEDS back on, etc. I took painkillers for about 2 weeks, although just some paracetamol and volterol.

Love the unsisterly cackle reine! I will be intrigued too.

Hope today goes well for you Red, everything crossed for you. Smile

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 13:09

Oh yeah 20% off dresses at Whistles at the mo!

MidnightinMoscow · 31/05/2012 13:11

Are you going to get the maxi Amber?

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 13:46

Red, hope the interview experience wasn't too daunting and that you have managed to do yourself justice. Interview outfit definitely a success whatever the outcome Smile.

Bloss, good luck at the new school. I am sure that your classroom presence is great and I imagine you have just the right amount of strictness - try not to let the nerves show and you'll be fine.

Icey, glad you have made good headway as a mother of two and that your style mojo has returned - lovely to hear from you.

I have been on a speed awareness course this morning Blush for 4 HOURS! Wearing my new blue Jigsaw tshirt with grey agnes, shoe boots and leather jacket - felt good at least. Also got the Jigsaw t in pink, it's very nice and I would reccommend it.

pickledsiblings · 31/05/2012 13:50

Jigsaw line jersey pocket t - I'm sure esomeone else has the pink (MiM), the colours are more vivid in reality.

MarshaBrady · 31/05/2012 14:07

Ooh I like that Anniemac

Hi Icey!

MiM worth waiting to see I think.

Amber meant to say so pleased you got the Raoul! I love that label, but am yet to buy anything from there.

I'm still on that elusive hunt for a sr dress Grin

Russianred · 31/05/2012 14:16

Looks like i'm going to be shopping for a work wardrobe! So thrilled, lovely school, A level teaching included and 3 days a week. Thank you for all your support!

IceCreamCastles · 31/05/2012 14:17

Congratulations red!!!

MarshaBrady · 31/05/2012 14:17

Congrats Red!!

IceCreamCastles · 31/05/2012 14:19

Ps- red, did you mean to text me a photo of pickled and fritzi (looking gorgeous) yesterday?!

blue2711 · 31/05/2012 14:21

Well done red! So so chuffed for you. Can't wait to hear all about the work outfits.

I really like 40bum lady's choices too reine even though she couldn't be more different to me in stature and colouring. My Zara floral jacket should be here tomorrow.

decam you are lovely, thank you.

Have been doing lots of sorting and chucking out today, so cathartic.

Hello icey! Hope you're well. Perhaps we should organise another Nottingham meet up sometime?

ReineDeSaba · 31/05/2012 14:21

Yay for red Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 31/05/2012 14:26

red That's wonderful! Congratulations!!!

icey Good to hear from you!

Forgot everything else I just skim read and wanted to comment on. Have just realized that I will leave DH and DD behind for three whole days. I am so full of adrenaline with all the anticipation and preparation that I haven't had a coffee today Shock. Will do so now and try to calm down a bit before DD arrives back from school shortly Grin.

Will it be really cold tomorrow? I don't want to wear my trench again. Was hoping to get by with a jersey blazer and big scarf...

OllieinOrange · 31/05/2012 14:37

Red brilliant news, so happy for you.

Waves to Icey DS1 looks such a cutey from your FB pics.

Im going with jersey blazer and scarf combo Fritzi but may concede on footwear and wear boots instead of sandals.
Im running round the bedroom packing but not packing - just throwing random clothes on the bed. At this rate I will be bring all my dresses and one pair of jeans. Must focus.

FritziGreenEyes · 31/05/2012 14:44

ollie Boots?! I haven't even considered that it might be that bad. It's summer... .

I am getting a bit nervous about the style thing. If she tells me maxi dresses are no good for me, I'll probably cry Blush. Can remember the shock when I was told I am a Summer although I was convinced of my Autumn-ness. What a self-indulgent, great day we'll have though Smile

OllieinOrange · 31/05/2012 14:44

Shamelessly nicked from another thread but doesn't Millie from MIC look amazing here.

Her trousers are the perfect length and I love her hair colouring - and eye make up. And shoes.

OllieinOrange · 31/05/2012 14:49

Well Im probably turning up in my bf jeans knowing full well they are not the most flattering of styles on me but are just very 'me' style wise!
Note to self - pack tissues in case of bad (fashion) news.

Are you bring the Me and Em dress?

Russianred · 31/05/2012 14:53

Thanks all, cannot quite articulate how relieved I am. And, even though DH tried to convince me no-one would care what I was wearing, I had three compliments from different women about my outfit - it's clearly my kind of school! Have to say, the shoes are particularly fab - have been on my feet for nearly all of the morning and they don't ache in the slightest.

Icey I have a feeling that has been pending since MU and for some reason, decided to send itself yesterday.

I so wish I was coming this weekend. News of a job does mean that I am now a slightly less tentative yes for Dublin though. Will need to work out childcare costs (and, more importantly, childcare itself).

I was checking out the floral jacket in Zara yesterday - it is very, very lovely. Doubt those who have ordered will be disappointed.

FritziGreenEyes · 31/05/2012 15:13

ollie Depends on how crammed my suitcase will be. Don't want to take too many things TBH. Have taken some photos of things I love and printed out my wish lists from some shops.

Decameron · 31/05/2012 15:43

That's fab news, Red, well done.

Ollie, don't think you'll need boots, the forecast is for about 19C tomorrow and Saturday though cooler on Sunday.

MiM I'm sure the MiH sale will start soon.

I like 40bum's leopard print skirt.

Great dresses, Everything.

If I can't get the AH bag I want in the sale, I'm going to get this instead. DD1 has a friend over and they are playing really nicely, so having an easy afternoon.

Portia4 · 31/05/2012 15:54

Well done Red , how exciting.

Lovely cardi Annie

Everything I love the jersey dress, can someone post the Boden preview link please.

I hope that today went well today Bloss

notyummy · 31/05/2012 16:00

Such great news Red. Delighted for you!

Well jel of the Brighton MU. I mean, it's a MU...and it's in Brighton, which is one of my favourite places. The bar in the Hotel du Vin is lovely for a drink ladies, and they have a nice terrace.

Hello Icey. I second the Nottingham MU idea Blue.

Pickled- today's delight involved trying to solve the lack of venture capital funds for high risk/high return businesses outside of London.
Grin

Decameron · 31/05/2012 16:09

NY, your job sounds fascinating.

I haven't been to Brighton, actually haven't been outside London Blush so thinking of going to Brighton in August.

Decameron · 31/05/2012 16:14

Lovely cardigan Annie, I wish they gave the length.

DD1 said DD2 crawled across the room (for the first time) while I was upstairs. It's like that old KitKat ad where the pandas start skating and performing stunts when the guy turned to take a break after waiting all day with his camera at the ready.

blossoming · 31/05/2012 16:18

I'm alive! Children were lovely. Nicer than the sheep by some degree! Honestly, I had to drive over a mountain to get there, and the sheep were just standing there in the middle of the road, not moving at all, just maintaining eye contact. I don't really like the drive there. It's always foggy and rainy and I get a headache every single time. If there's interest I'll be teaching via video link from my school.
