Decam I have horrible veiny legs (which I attribute largely to gaining insane quantities of weight while pregnant with DS1) and they are much much less visible now I have a bit of a tan. I also found that sally hansen stuff improves them no end, but I am too lazy to apply it for anything other than special occasions.

Decameron · 30/05/2012 22:31

I sent you a pm, Blue.

Hope you enjoy your style day, Ollie and Fritzi.

I'm off to bed. Enough shopping, fun and frolics for today!

Decameron · 30/05/2012 22:32

Thanks Blue and Hopefully. I am 40 (eek) so my days are numbered anyway!!

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 22:35

If i was insanely wealthy and had lots of fancy events to attend, I would so buy this tuxedo jacket and trousers. Also swooning slightly at this dress. I never really thought of Mcqueen as a wearable label before. Now, if only I could sell a few thousand yards of fabric I'd be able to afford them, and the events to wear them to!

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 22:36

Ooh, this looks like a possible De Manta for me to save up for. Can't decide if the mix of gold and silver hardware would annoy or please me though.

MidnightinMoscow · 31/05/2012 06:30

Quick question - the jeans I bought at the weekend have £48 off them in HoF. Is it acceptable to take them back and re-buy them straight off? Have the receipt and they are unworn. Do I just go straight the the till and tell them what I want to do or take them back and the sneak around waiting for them to put them back on the shop floor?

Decameron · 31/05/2012 06:40

They might not like it but they can't prevent you from doing it, Mim. Or you can order them online and return the originals.

Decameron · 31/05/2012 06:45

I've been thinking that the 50/50s boots are now a medical necessity, what with my newly discovered leg issues.

blossoming · 31/05/2012 06:58

Absolutely decam! Although maybe not with the shorts Wink

I am teaching in a new school today trying to sell Spanish to the year 9s. Am apprehensive!
Good luck to you red

MiM Id take them in and ask. I did this once with a dress over here - marched up to the till prepared for battle (as CS not very good over here) and was immediatley refunded the difference. Thats a big saving. Like the image of you sneaking around the shop floor tho!

Decameron and Portia how funny about your RL overlaps! Started reading 123 Magic last night after DS1 refused to stay in his bed and go to sleep until nearly 10pm (and he is up and awake at 7am this morning - how does he do it?)

Good luck today Red. Will be thinking of you.

Must remember to gives DSs breakfast this morning!

Decameron · 31/05/2012 07:08

Ollie, my book hasn't arrived yet but I read up about it and am trying it, it has been helping so far. I sound like an idiot when we are out, going, "Remember 1-2-3? OK, that's one".

Good luck Bloss with your class today. And best of luck to you, Red!

No shorts with 50/50s? :o

OllieinOrange · 31/05/2012 07:50

Who was it that was asking about Hush? Is it just me but I cant load the website properly on my laptop or the ipad? I click on dresses and nothing happens. I have to find an image which allows me to click on it and then scroll through the following pages one by one. Wont let me see the jewellery at all.
Am a little bit in love with the bird print pyjama trouser tho.

Decameron I already count out loud - but its me counting to 10 to stop myself loosing it Smile

AmberNectarine · 31/05/2012 08:01

mim have a look at their policy I know some retailers, eg. NaP will refund the difference if the item goes on sale within 14 days. Otherwise just return and rebuy, you are perfectly within your rights to do so.

blossoming · 31/05/2012 08:03

decam, I did it with a particularly unpleasant year 9 pupil the other day 'that's one', and he just shook his head and took it. Was quite surprised! My last lesson with them tomorrow, and I'm glad of it. Year 9 are a pain after they've chosen their options and they know they're finishing with French.
The school I'm teaching in this afternoon used to have a reputation as being rough, riddled with drugs, and causing fights with my town. See why I'm worried? DH chose the navy pinstripe pencil skirt and the navy BR shirt for me with grey tights - as appropriate 'going in to battle' wear.

Kick ass, Bloss!

OllieinOrange · 31/05/2012 10:40

Does this jersey dress look see through to you? here

Decameron · 31/05/2012 11:07

Maybe ever so slightly at the legs but you could always wear a slip underneath. I like the gathering.

ReineDeSaba · 31/05/2012 11:24

Morning!very very excited about mini meet up at weekend.

I have ordered the 40bum jacket And the butterfly maxi And the scarf envy stars and bars no. so I officially like her.Did you see her leopard maxi skirt yummy very nice.have realised that WIT not really my thing but will continue to nose to see how she does with postbaby wardrobe(unsisterly evil cackle)

blue hope you get your clutch somehow..even Dh spotted it and liked it on a friend.I always like your picks, funny that I am probably polar opposite colouring!

luckily you have your Gillian 'guns' to protect you bloss

good luck for interview red

dec if you can't wear shorts what hope is there for the rest of us!

Hopefully · 31/05/2012 11:31

Ollie would be surprised if it was see through enough for modesty issues, I can just scarcely make out the outline of the model's legs on a zoom in.

Have just arranged camping trip with a view to its proximity to Bicester Blush

notyummy · 31/05/2012 11:35

Morning all.

Hope you don't have to battle too much Bloss.

Haven't had a chance to look at 49bums blog recently Reine, although I am also the owner (unsurprisingly..) of a leopard maxi skirt, as well as two leopard maxi dresses Blush. In my defence the two dresses are about as different as you can get,, barring the length and print.
Hmm

I am having a mad day today. 6am Ripped session. Out of the house at 645 to Nottingham for breakfast meeting. Just driven to an easy coast mainline station and am now on train to London to go to meet at Treasury. It's such a lovely building that I get sadly excited when I go to meetings there and forget the main reason I am supposed to be there [must focus].

Really hoping we get some dry weather for the Bank Holiday weekend!

Quick wave to everyone from me. Glad to see so many people feeling the maxi love. You must be so proud NY Grin

Lobby- so excited for you- def get some help in if you have a c section. I am normally one for just getting on with things but felt incredibly vulnerable for a good few weeks after mine (though that was emergency so maybe different).
I took painkillers for about 3 weeks.
Didn't hurt as such to lift things but could feel it afterwards if I overdid it (back pain as well as around scar)
Drove after 3 weeks and felt fine. Tbh walking was more uncomfortable at that stage.
Took things v easy for 6 weeks and now at nearly 12 weeks it is a distant memory
Apart from the fact that I've got a strange lump above my scar that noone seems to be able to identify- have seen gp and had ultrasound but no joy Confused

Am finally getting some semblance of style mojo back- have been wearing earhearts to death (thank goodness for NY's long legs else I would be stuck!).

Hope you can track down your bag blue.

Love your interview outfit red- good luck!

Sorry- I know I've missed loads- will try to catch up later
