Purple Alex, swoon!

Blue, is it this? I've just ordered it in black.

Portia, I sent you a pm.

Decameron · 30/05/2012 20:44

Mine are not long in bed either, very late for them.

These shorts are great on and I was about to order them but I have a couple of spider veins and blue veins at the backs of my knees, not very noticeable when I wear knee-length dresses but probably best not to wear shorts. Probably should get a maxi.

blossoming · 30/05/2012 21:25

Nonsense decam, get the shorts!

Hopefully dd1 informs me that one if her friends has thatt blazer and that it's fab on.

Amber bag sounds great.

Nothing wrong with Loose Women, I went to see it being recorded with my Mum and Dsis, it was great fun!

I have traded a foot massage for a back rub with DD3 - bliss!

suburban · 30/05/2012 21:40

Portia I have heard the LW recordings are a hootGrin Who did you see?
Your DD sounds like a sweety wish mine could do back rubs she has just worked out how to get into the fridge and kept surprising me with pieces of ham today Hmm

I love the shorts Decameron

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 21:43

Is there anything lovelier than a fat baby in a vest?

Suburban Marina and the Diamonds played the day we were there.

Decam I have pmed you. I am watching the Irish version of The Housewives of Organge county, car crash tv, I am cringing!

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 21:51

Well it's fat and asleep, not smiling though as drinking Nectarine gold top (minimum 96% cake solids)

loobylu3 · 30/05/2012 21:54

Thank you so much to all those of you who have given your CS advice!
It does sound as if most of you recovered well.
I think I am probably the sort of person who will be v frustrated not to be able to do things as normal and struggling to look after my DC. After my NVDs, I was doing things as normal the next day. I think it was only after no.1 that I really got much chance to rest!
I have signed up to a couple of agencies. Am also looking for an au pair. A Doula may also be an option that I hadn't thought of (thx everything).

If I can find someone within the next 2 weeks, I think a CS is an option but probably won't work otherwise.

Pickled- I can probably get someone to do the school run (we live round the corner from the school) but pre school will definitely be more a problem as that is in a village. Also, after school activities will be a problem.
The older two are pretty good at bathing themselves (although DS ridiculously slow) and are quite capable of getting themselves a v simple tea. DD2 is only three though so definitely needs more help!

Decam- don't be daft about your legs- we all have the odd thread vein, no? I guarantee that no one else will notice! By the way, wicked you for linking to the HOF sale. I have now spotted this dress but it all sold out in that gorgeous emerald colour!

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 21:55

My DD is very appealingly chubby right now amber. Thanks for raoul info. Sounds fab but I feel silly with shoulder bags for some reason do will regretfully wave it goodbye.

hopefully that is the jacket I ordered yesterday! It's on its way. I haven't even seen it in the flesh, just on 40 bum lady (She's even got me liking the ash heeled wedges in today's post). Will report back on jacket when it arrives, am excited!

decam yes that is it. Have tried it on and loved it. Wish I'd got it actually.

notyummy · 30/05/2012 21:55

That sounds similar to the product available at our house Amber. Esp the 96% cake. No wonder that she was like a party balloon- it was obviously the coffee cake Blush.

Decameron · 30/05/2012 21:55

I have just discovered that Portia knows my dad. You'll have to come meet me, Portia!

Lots more fake tan for my pins, I think.

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 21:59

There is so much I like at Zara when I look online but far less so on the rare occasion I actually go in. Nottingham store a bit jumble-like. I'm currently dreaming of the lace shorts although my legs definitely look better covered up.

x-post, thanks Looby, lovely dress, hope you find it elsewhere. I asked my friend's nanny to do two afternoons for me last summer, do any of your friends have nannies or au pairs that might need extra hours?

They are not that bad and only above the knee. Combination of growing too quickly, bad circulation and two babies! It was the Does My Bum Look 40 post yesterday that had me check, I normally don't examine myself closely.

Blue, I bought the Ash wedges from the My-W sale, really comfy. Well I think they are, I've only tried them on, it has been too warm to wear them recently. Is your size sold out in the crochet top?

My DD2 is going through a sturdy phase too. Her little thighs are very squeezable, just gorgeous.

blossoming · 30/05/2012 22:08

That is funny decam. Ireland is do muck like Wales in that respect!

Did you all see VB's chubby baby in DM today? Not linking sorry, too tired.

OP posts:
Decameron · 30/05/2012 22:10

Nice, Everything, more cake! It is more the blue veins (ugh) on the backs of my knees. DH says he never noticed (I emailed him to ask, I'm sure he thinks I've lost it).

OllieinOrange · 30/05/2012 22:16

Get the shorts Decameron If I found some that suited me, Id wear them and my legs are hideously covered in threads and veins. My problem is my er, thighs. Short shorts are just too tight on them.

Thanks for all the HoC advice. I was fretting about not getting my colours spot on so its good I can just focus on what clothes to take.

The lovely clothes shop (which hosts the nice fashion shows I go to) start their sale on Friday - whilst I am en route to UK! Have that horrible feeling of missing out and feel a bit twitchy about it - sad I know! Tried on a lovely pale green linen crewneck jumper today by a Danish brand called Samsoe Samsoe but resisted. They are closed on Mondays but will go first thing on Tuesday armed with the knowledge I gain from the Style Day!

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 22:17

Oh am gutted, the gold AH clutch is now sold out! Why oh why did I dither? Am so so disappointed.

And that crochet whistles top is sold out in my size. Grumpy!

Decameron · 30/05/2012 22:22

Do you have a House of Fraser nearby, Blue? Maybe it is in store. Is this thebag?

I am going to play fashion roulette with the shorts and buy them when I get back if they are still available.

Portia and I have been chatting some more and she also knows my best friend (whom Rufus also knows) and her family, and I have met her brother. Too funny!

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 22:27

Yes it is decam but I don't have a discount at matches but had 40% off at MW. Stupid me. Our house of Fraser doesn't have whistles but I'll cross my fingers a grazia code is coming up and try and track it down then.

Can't believe the clutch isn't going to be mine!

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 22:28

Yes get the shorts decam. I have wasted years not wearing them and am already looking back thinking how silly of me.
