They're nice bloss did you buy the groupon deal for that site?

blossoming · 30/05/2012 14:03

Bearing in mind that my bike is white, my helmet is white, and I wear a bright blue top!

I need to switch this PC off before I bore everyone to death!

Groupon deal?
everything, I hate wraparound! And yes to extra protein (bugs)!

here you buy a £55 voucher for £19 to use against your purchase so those glasses would effectively cost you £24.

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 14:23

No bugs down my bra, but I did drop an entire french bean down there during lunch today and couldn't find it for ages.

Bloss I like the sunnies, and unlike SE really like graduated tint.

Red do they have normal alexas and alexa hobos at the Shepton Mallet outlet? It's not terribly out of my way to stop there on the way back from Exeter tomorrow...

SE will investigate red jacket next time I am released without DCs - can't be bothered with humphing the pram into that shop, which is why I never go there.

In other news, I have decided that i need a McQueen De Manta clutch like 40Bum lady. I don't go out very often, but I am happy to use the same clutch bag for the rest of time when I find the perfect one in my colours (I have been using the same black and grey vintage one for over a decade. The style is exactly me, but the colours are wrong). I don't like any of this season's colours though. Is it a bag they do regularly, does anyone know? 40Bum lady appears to have it in brown/tan...

Decam thanks for that - think I'll await sales and continue to entertain DH by holding up my pyjamas with one hand every time I go up and down stairs for a few weeks more.

Have purchased. Can always send them back!

Am not sure they had Oak Alexas, but did have some other colours. Probably worth giving them a ring in advance.

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 15:00

That definitely sounds like an Alexa hopefully. They are very slouchy and soft in RL. As I have said many times before I LOVE mine. It feels right all the time.

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 15:02

Raoul is here. It's love. Will report back after toddler group.

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 15:14

Love the catering suggestions! Thank you so much. You've inspired me to get planning now.

I need to know everything amber!! Especially the strap length. If it can be cross body I will sacrifice AH clutch for it...

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 16:09

Thank goodness for that Amber! Imagine if it was horrible after all that.

Thanks everyone for confirming Alexa suspicions. Can't believe that after all my anti-Mulberry-ness I actually want one Blush. So much more slouchy in RL than i was expecting! Motivation to start saving now I've seen something I like. Do they ever come in colours other than the boring ones currently available? Oak would be safest bet, but I've always liked bags that are a fraction more interesting. Between that and deciding I want a De Manta I've mentally spent a cool £1k today...

Decameron · 30/05/2012 17:11

I like my oak Alexa a lot. It goes with everything. They are 20% off in duty free if you don't find them on sale. They do them in various colours.

Cool sunglasses, Bloss. We are going on Monday, just me and the DDs. I got the email from Aer Lingus but I'd already booked flights. My brother is home from Australia so looking forward to seeing him. Rufus and I have a mutual friend who is arranging a dinner out. Should be fun.

I've ordered this Whistles sweater, it was on sale at House of Fraser.

Glad you are happy with Raoul, Amber!

Portia4 · 30/05/2012 17:56

Decam How long will you be home for? Would love to meet you and Rufus if possible for a drink or coffee.

Love your shades Bloss

Delicous Coronation menu Red

Weather has turned here today, still warm but overcast and drizzly Sad.

Dh is away on business, so I look forward to an evening of rose and the remote control!
DD1 is off to Biaritz tomorrow on a surfing trip for a week, so it will just be me and DD3 home alone.

Emo the Jubilee lunch I am going to on Sunday is 'lounge suits' so I'm wearing a summer dress with heels.

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 17:59

Great sweater decam. Hmm wonder if the cream crocheted jumper I've been eyeing up is also on sale...

Come on amber I need more raoul info!

suburban · 30/05/2012 18:23

Hopefully I saw a green Alexa once that was lovely and looked more unique.

I hope you are feeling better SE. I have been in a seriously bad mood all week day. Largely because of lack of sleep/PMT but want it to lift soon because I hate not feeling like myself and keep shouting at DD which isn't fair on her.

That cake does look amazing, I made mini Victoria Sponges for the jubilee party we went to yesterday which was fairly easy. Other big hits were jam tarts and cucumber sandwiches.

Exciting about the bag Amber did you order the clutch yet blue?

I like the sunglasses Bloss and thanks for the aer lingus tip off, need to book flights for a christening so will do asap.

I got a shock at lunchtime when I switched on tv and one of the loose women was wearing mine and hopefuly's linen biker jacket Grin. There's 30% off DP at the moment, might try a maxi dress...

No Csection advice other than good luck Looby. Hope you can find someone to help soon.

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 18:55

Sorry blue, I've been lollygagging around, feeding and bathing my children and the like. On to more important matters; the Raoul definitely wouldn't work as a cross body. However it sits very neatly on my shoulder and didn't slip down, so I didn't have to keep hoiking it back up. It is a very nice size, just big enough for purse, phone, keys, couple of bits of make up etc. Colour is just sumptuous, exactly what I wanted. It's not my usual style of bag, bit too classic to use HoC speak, but I think the colour make it youthful and appropriate for my style! Very pleased all in all. It had it's first outing to toddler group where it was purloined by a four year old girl - cant even begin to imagine the allure Wink

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 18:56

hopefully outlets tend to have the less traditional colours, I saw a lovely deep purple Alexa last time I was at Bicester. Did you say you were going? They are usually c. the 525 mark there...

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 19:31

Amber glad the Raoul is living up to expectations! And well done for not battering the four year old girl away from the precious bag Grin. Planning a trip to Bicester, so will hold off till then and see what's available there.

Suburban does that make us precisely as cool as Loose Women then? Shock

Have decided not to bother going to Exeter tomorrow for house hunting. DH and I have been talking and I think we have decided that we are probably better off in one of the outlying towns - the commitment to higher rent in Exeter is just a bit too much risk for us (unless somewhere a bit cheaper miraculously comes up), and we need space more than we need to be in the middle of Exeter, I think. The bugger is that properties go in about 24 hours in number one town choice, so there might be a fair bit of last minute childcare arranging and dashing up and down the motorway to view anything that becomes available!

suburban · 30/05/2012 19:43

Grin hopefully I was so horrified I ended up watching for 10mins just to verify it was the jacket. Not advisable.

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 19:52

Would someone please come and talk me out of this. It is wrong for me on so many levels, but it's so cool!

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 19:54

I won't hopefully, because I've had my eye on it too...

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 19:56

Amber get it! At least it's better colours for you! Couldn't be more wrong for me.

MarshaBrady · 30/05/2012 20:23

I love the way Zara shoots stuff, looks good. I like it too.

Mango summer looks great here

My children are dancing to Charlie Brown. Funny how they get on so well at bed time (well its so light, and late!)
