Red the outfit looks fabulous on you, love the shoes especially. Loving that sweater too.

Ollie what a pain. I would avoid washing on 90, as that can sometimes set stains in, but put plenty of stain remover on, give them a good 60 degree wash in bio, then hang out in the sun for a while.

I have just compromised all my healthy eating principles and made a protein shake with protein powder. Only after making it and taking an alarmingly artificial sweetener flavoured swig did I realise that i haven't bought the plain, unflavoured powder that i meant to. I have bought the sweetest, fake-sugariest vanilla flavoured powder ever. Nice. Luckily it was made into a smoothie with blueberries, yoghurt, ice and milk, so wasn't too gross Smile

Loving getting back into Insanity this week, although it's bloody hard after a week off, and in this heat! I was just getting used to the exercises before we went away.

AmberNectarine · 29/05/2012 21:05

Anyone think P&M have borrowed a bit of inspo from Anya with this?

red great outfit, you look super slim and gorgeous Envy

blue2711 · 29/05/2012 21:09

I sympathise ollie. Agree that sun can achieve a lot so fingers crossed that works but otherwise there's always bleach.

Great outfit red.

Is no-one going to tell me to get the AH clutch?!

AmberNectarine · 29/05/2012 21:10

I'll tell you to get it blue, I've got one and it's lovely!

MrsCampbellBlack · 29/05/2012 21:11

Red - you look fab! Good luck. I think Dauhpin had been on the pimms and imagined cos Wink

Amber - I am surprised that p&m get away with it to be honest.

blossoming · 29/05/2012 21:12

Get the clutch!! blue!

I tried bleach once ollie and it was quite yellowy in the end. That is the problem with white clothes. I am throwing out the 2 white tops from last year. They don't look right. Good to have you back. Jealous of your weekend too!

Went on a governors course tonight wearing my new short jersey dress. DH said, that's a going out dress. Hope there's no men there! Result I think.

Great outfit red. Go nail it!

Bloss I just read that as 'went on a governess course'. I was a little surprised...

P&M annoys me by being so derivative. I know that's incredibly snobby, but I have no objection whatsoever to buying cheap so I feel able to complain about P&M ripping off whatever the latest smart designer bag is.

Speaking of bags, I really need to find a decent one this year. Have been keeping an eye out in TK Maxx etc every time I pop into one. Am holding out hopes for planned Bicester trip in June, or possibly the sales. My £20 River Island bobbie filled a gap, but it is swiftly falling apart. Cheap bags have to be one of the biggest false economies ever. Maybe I should start a Balenciaga fund too...

Hopefully · 29/05/2012 21:34

Oh, and Ollie, Fritzi and anyone else who's relevant, is it this weekend you are doing your style days? Are you going out for dinner or anything on Friday night, or just Saturday? I'm mostly in London, but just on the off chance I can wrangle some time...

You look great Red good luck for tomorrow.

I don't really get P&M especially the MN obsession with the Lucia. I just feel like you can spend a little bit more for a high end bag in the sales, or save yourself a fortune and buy a high street one. Topshop actually do some nice leather ones. Although Hopefully is right cheap bags are such false economy. TK Maxx website v good for bags, lots of Osprey etc.

Ooh go on blue get the clutch

My sympathies Ollie that sort of thing happens to me all the time. Agree about breaking up the grease, maybe soda water/bicarbonate of soda, take to the dry cleaners??? (clutching at straws)

Hopefully · 29/05/2012 22:03

No, I got organic whey protein. Can't find the one I got online - bought it on holiday last week. Not keen on the flavour of hemp, and figure I get enough of all the other benefits of it (assume it has Omega 3 and 6 etc?) with all the flaxseed etc that I consume. It has managed its task of bringing me within a few grams of my protein goal for the first time ever without going horribly over on calories, so I can't entirely complain about it.

Russianred · 29/05/2012 22:09

Thanks ladies for being so supportive of my outfit choices Wink. Interview isn't till Thursday, but needed to shop today as am tutoring tomorrow. DD doesn't seem very well at all though; very wheezy today so having lots of inhalers and also very grumpy in herself. I can't see myself working tomorrow as it wouldn't be ok to leave her with my friend as she is now.

Have got all of my planning done in my head, just need to get it all written down properly tomorrow.

I don't get the P&M thing either.

Every it is a bit see-through - it is my concession to the warm weather. I'll stick a cami on underneath.

Blue haven't you been coveting the clutch for some time now? And you do go out quite a bit, necessitating something as gorgeous as the clutch. Has that done it?!

Hopefully · 30/05/2012 07:00

Red I hope your DD is better today.

It's a bit cooler and hazy here this morning, think I might go for a maxi dress/linen biker combo for nursery run.

Ordered some sandals from Clarks Shock yesterday, they actually look nice, and comfy for the hours of walking I do. Stupid bloody website though, with a tiny (3 pairs) order limit, which I think is daft. Can't wait till R&B goes online! Saw some lovely suede wedges in there the other day, might have to try them on.

MarshaBrady · 30/05/2012 07:57

Completely agree about Peony & Moore. Very popular on here, but just can't see the appeal.

Red good luck, great outfit.

Blue get the clutch Grin

Thanks for the pms Smile. The hard part is picking a spot. I was going to say south side? (Reine your spot looked great but a bit harder I think) and Looby sorry I think my ds1 may be at his gps.

Decameron · 30/05/2012 08:15

Red, you look great. Hope your DD is better today and best of luck with the interview!

Well done to your DH hopefully.

Blue, get the bag ... you have your daughter to think of now, you must build up a nice collection to pass on to her!

Ollie, Napisan??

Hope your bag arrives today, Amber.

Not a fan of P&M either. I prefer Russell and Bromley bags, which are a similar price range.

Quick question as the baby is shouting, does anyone have Nudie jeans? How is the sizing? I like the skinny chinos on My-wardrobe but they say they are small to size, what do you reckon? I am tempted by the lavender hudsons but they are probably a one hit wonder, this summer only item!

notyummy · 30/05/2012 08:42

Morning all!

Hopefully - I have three pairs of shoes from Clarks (well a pair of sandals, a pair of boots and a pair of shoes.) They have all given me excellent service. Not particularly fashion forward, but I wear the shoes for work on days I want smart, with a heel.... that I can walk some distance in.

Just invested £30 at the cobblers having four apirs of winter shoes reheeled etc. Hopefully will serve me well in a few months time.

Not keen on the sound of that protein shake tbh! Although I am sure with the right additions, as you have done, it could be palatable. Are you following a specific programme re the protein levels? I do try and make sure that I eat plenty of fish/eggs/chicken, but have to admit I don't really know exactly how much I eat versus how much I should.

Ollie - soak in vinegar?

Anyone going to the family festival in Hyde Park on Sunday? I am a bit tempted, but then I wonder if there is enough on to see for free without paying for tickets. But the Strictly stars will be dancing [saddo emoticon].....

Had a lovely facial on Monday with a lady I am seeing about my red veins. She pooh poohed my initial desire for having them fully treated (which made me trust her more, as that would have been the more expensive option.) And I have a massage on Friday - can't wait.

AmberNectarine · 30/05/2012 09:32

decam I have nudie high kais and I wear a 27 in them, same as J brands etc. but I think annie found them small so maybe I just got a dodgy pair?

blue2711 · 30/05/2012 09:44

Thanks for the enabling re the clutch. Ran it past DH last night. He said 'why do you need another bag?' to which I said that I don't of course, I'd just like one! He seemed happy with that and agreed the discount is a great one. Think will order today!

decam a good friend of mine found her nudie high Kais tiny and had to size up.

ny facial sounds great. I am going to try and start having them monthly, inspired by my MIL who has been doing that for years and looks about 10 years younger than she is!

Agree re P and M. Just seems a bit meh to me, for want of a more articulate description! Feel equally underwhelmed by Modalu bags, as sported by Pippa Middleton. Do wish there was a bag range I really loved at lower price point though.

Decameron · 30/05/2012 09:57

Hmm, ok, thanks. I think I'll leave them as I won't have time to return them before I go to Ireland.

blossoming · 30/05/2012 10:31

Maybe you could do a research trip to Westfield decam Wink?
It's about 10 degrees cooler here today. Nice though, although the sun is coming through again now. Funny thing fritzi about the chiffon trim cardigan from last year. I haven't worn it at all since I got it! The replacemet arrived the day before we went on holiday, it was too hot on holiday to need it, and when I got back I was starting work.
This year as I have finally lost the 'maternity belly' I am wearing the knitted vest in navy with my Agnes, and today the chiffon placket cardigan over it. I am wearing more fitted and more structured this year, thanks a lot to my style day. My shoes (the pewter quilted flats) from R&B aren't really right for my style, but still haven't found anything I prefer. Apart from my havaianas, which I can't drive in. Looking forward to having a report back from your style day fritzi and ollie.

Just the one child home today. DS. Who needs no entertaining thankfully.

Westfield too much work with both DDs unfortunately and DH will be working again this weekend so it's online only, or whatever Richmond has to offer! I like your outfit, esp. the vest.

Still hot here, I am in the DP stripey dress and havaianas. DD2 is having a nice long nap.

Emo76 · 30/05/2012 11:22

hello all glad it's a little cooler ... navy cos 3/4 sleeve dress and LKB fabric print heels a la WIT on today. busy at work sorting out things other people have ballsed up (my area of expertise Wink)

not a P&M fan particularly here either. I know I am not the only one here waiting for the Anya sale!

going to an event next week dress code is "lounge suit" - tres 70s - I assume that means a suit for men - but what is the female equivalent?!
