Wandered into town where I rarely go and have found the coolest cafe with free wifi, great food and friendly staff. Who knew? My Parisian outfit must have conjured it up!

My ridiculous work crush ended in marriage and two babies SE... Hope your garden gets sorted pronto, well done for being so stoical, I have been a screaming harpy.

Have been perusing the thread from this time last year to get an idea of sale dates. So nailing my colours to the mast I'm predicting AH to start on Friday and NAP Monday....

notyummy · 13/06/2012 12:24

Sorry to hear about the flood aftermath SE. Does indeed sound gross. Was the personal space invasion semi-welcome or not at all...?

Sparkly Hunters have arrived [relieved emoticon].Have decided to wear with black opaques (bloody June!!), mole coloured Chintzi and Parker dress, black blazer with leopard scarf to lift. And black belted trench over the top. With big brolly Hmm. Boots and trench come off, shoe boots on and I should be board room ready. Unless I am caked in mud....

blossoming · 13/06/2012 12:31

Think that HN advert is gross.

Outfit sounds great ny.

Sounds very nice indeed seventh. Motivates one to go to work if nothing else!

I rarely seem to get complimented on single items, but have a hell of a lot of you look well/healthy/slim/glowing since having colours and style done, which makes me insufferably smug, especially when I'm with my (non-believer) mother Grin. Most commonly admired single item is probably Me & Em dress or bronze coloured leaf necklace from Etsy.

SE garden sounds gross. Hope they come and sort it out soon.

I really like this dress, but mostly what I like is the racer back shape, which would only see the light of day in the three days of summer we get here, so am resisting.

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/06/2012 13:45

I reckon HN need to stop using the creative agency they're using which is clearly populated by young men and get some feedback from you know their actual target market.

Looking forward to nap sale but totally bored by all the rest of them as reductions don't seem that great and what's the point in buying stuff for the summer.

Grumble grumble.

Glad you are back Decam...I do love that bag. Might have to copy you there...it's just lovely. In fact, it's on my wishlist. What colour are you thinking of? Like the sound of the sycamore.

Blue- I am TT DD, who is 2.8. She was showing great signs a while ago, and everyone said she seemed ready....After a few false starts (showing no interest whatsoever), we have gone completely cold turkey, in that she is wearing knickers, not pull ups, and I am constantly nagging asking her if she needs to 'go', . Two days later, we are just about getting there, although we have invested in millions of pairs of knickers and dark navy leggings for the purpose of the exercise. DS and elder DD were about the same I think.

Dauphin · 13/06/2012 14:01

Oh and what's wrong with a bit of a work crush/fling/affair, Seventh? How are you going to know if he's intelligent enough right, if you don't go out for coffee. Think you are overthinking it.....if I may be so bold. Sorry to hear about the flooding by the way.....

Dauphin · 13/06/2012 14:02

Oh, I do like a classic dresser...

Dauphin · 13/06/2012 14:06

The sales are indeed, deadly dull. Need some decent weather now to inspire me. I have found myself thinking about AW as I do really prefer smarter, tailored clothes.....but do want to pad about in sparkly flats with brown toes on a beautiful beach.....ho hum.

Bonsoir, how was Ile De Re?

Shame t'other one is married.

notyummy · 13/06/2012 14:16

I didn't realise you got together that young SE (albeit you are significantly younger anyway than an old gimmer like me Grin. You have a whole new world out there....

Everything, well, at least it makes work more interesting!

NY, sounds like a great outfit.

Back from Westfield. The AH sale has started in House of Fraser, I got this red bag, which I have liked for a while, half price. Think I will skip Selfridges next Tues now.

Fritzi, no, as usual I had to take out half of my clothes as I could only manage one suitcase. I returned the Stuart Weitzman shoes today actually as I didn't wear them and they always have them in stock.

Most compliments I get are on bags and gold necklace that belonged to my mother, also a pink coat and DKNY blazer, both quite old.

Decameron · 13/06/2012 15:11

I asked in Russell & Bromley and their sale starts 2nd July.

Do you think you will go ahead with the move to Spain, Fleecy?

Dauphin, I also called into Mulberry, they should have the Dorset bag some time in July. I was thinking of the Black Forest, which is a lovely burgundy (they had the Bayswater in stock in that colour) or but since I've just bought a red bag, maybe the pink. I now need to keep a low profile, shopping wise so I am not broke for autumn!

Decameron · 13/06/2012 15:12

or but? Blush

PetitRat · 13/06/2012 15:18

Excuse me for barging in so rudely but need help! One of you mentioned some everyday knickers from Figleaves which were a bargain. Could I ask for a link (or just the name of them). They are offering 20% off today and I thought i'd stock up. Sorry again and keep up the good work. xxx

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/06/2012 15:18

Dec - I have the smaller size of that bag in black and love it!

I am currently coveting/obsessing over this one

Saw it in Selfridges on Sunday and just love it but its £££

OllieinOrange · 13/06/2012 15:34

Still on a maxi high! So, so pleased with it.

Annie I have to go to the dept store here which has a Wallis concession tomorrow. If they have the green dress, shall I get one for you? No trouble.

Everything I adored having a workplace crush when single. He was a 6ft5" god. There was an element of mutual attraction but neither of us acted on it - much to the amusement of fellow colleagues. He really helped me move on from an ex-bf - loved that whole frission of excitement when he stopped by my desk for a chat or when we bumped into each other in the corridor/canteen. We saw a lot of each other socially too. Sometimes I think I should have just gone for it and just snogged him. Smile
Am very intrigued at how this guy invaded your personal space? I need details - or will be forced to buy that 50 shades of grey book everyone keeps going on about!

Decameron lovely to have you back. Your trip home sound v similar to mine so now I limit them to when DH can come. Planning one for October half term. Lovely handbag - love the colour and zip detail.

Pickled looking forward to hearing how your first day went. Any first day in the workplace crushes to report?

Gift bag now complete - finished it off with a voucher to the lovely local boutique which she likes, selection of nice teas with a teacup and found a largish pic of Brad Pitt in a magazine so ripped it out and wrote on it "To , Stay strong, love Brad"" - know friend will be tickled pink by that!

Book Club this evenng - discussing Rules of Civility which I really liked.
