Yes the HoC lady was extremely good. Very knowledgable and lovely. She said she was prepared to track us down at the airport as she had woken up at 3am with a lightbulb moment as to why Fritzi wasnt a classic! It became obvious that I need the proper HoC colour analysis as my independent one obviously didnt go into enough detail as to where I sit on the summer spectrum so will somehow arrange a colour refresher session with her at some point.

Everything - A mentioned how MV would be great for me. loved that outfit you linked too, thank you. Could easily pull together using my navy jersey blazer. I really need to sit and read through everything.

Bloss Smile at your link for me.

Am smiling at the memory of the table turning into Kareem groupies. Loved seeing all the union jacks everywhere. Made me feel quite homesick tbh. Sad

OllieinOrange · 03/06/2012 19:49

Big congratulations Pickled

Looking forward to hearing Portia and NYs eye witness reports too. Such a shame about the weather.

OllieinOrange · 03/06/2012 19:49

Red you lush Wink

OllieinOrange · 03/06/2012 20:44

Last post from me. Saw this navy Ted Baker dress at the airport and sure it would suit some of you. Love the contrasting materials and the detailing here

Decameron · 03/06/2012 20:46

Red, you are so funny!

Congrats Pickled.

Glad you had a good time in Brighton, Ollie, Fritzi and everyone else. Your consultant does sound very conscientious.

I like that dress, Bloss, quite like the Davina in style.

I went to R&B yesterday and changed my shoes for a black pair, though do still want them in nude too. DD1 is a chip off the old block, she kept saying this is the nicest shoe shop so I bought her a pair too.

I am packing, Rufus but I pack the DDs stuff first then see what room is left for me. Very little so skinny jeans and lots of tops but this time I am bring a dress and I am going to wear it! I think I can take DD1's shorts out, doesn't look like it will be too hot.

We went to the river today, amazing. LOL at your DD's description, Emo! Our street looks wonderful, bunting (which DD1 calls bunty) and decorations everywhere.

Chat next week unless I check in from Dublino. xxx

loobylu3 · 03/06/2012 20:49

Many congratulations on the jobs pickled and red!

Am v Envy of your lovely weekend in Brighton. I have never been but have lots of about it and it sounds like somewhere I would love to live (masses of quirky shops, on the coast, 1 hour from London- what's not to like?).
I have only met you once ollie but can definitely see you as a natural. Lovely WC dress. I like that!
fritzi- pleased that you got the natural verdict in the end! I remember that you have this www.thewhitecompany.com/clothing/dresses/pleat-neck-linen-dress--ash/dress and it seems absolutely not classic and v natural.
I'm interested to know what I am too- maybe a post baby treat in another year or so!
Can you be both natural and classic, everything or just one or the other? Is body shape v important or is it more a personality/ personal taste thing?

Hope you are all enjoying the Jubilee weekend.

ReineDeSaba · 03/06/2012 20:51

Have finally got the girls to sleep after excitement of my arrival back from Brighton.Had a completely amazing time and am very impressed with Brighton as a destination.ants emo and I had a great afternoon on the (sunny!) beach yesterday and ants found a dress for me in a lovely boutique that was not only totally me but 20% off too!The restaurant was a complete blast and I had so many lovely stories about the whole trip to recount to DH.I am hoping all those good feelings will get me through half term!

Thank you so much to ollie and fritzi for letting us crash your party, sorry I didn't get to say goodbye properly today, and all I can think is Dublin bring it on!

Shamefaced that I took some samples of my product all the way there for everyone and completely forgot to give them to you so v. v sorry Blush you can view on FB..next time I'll be on the ball.

By the way Snow white and the Huntsman was fabulous.Amazing costumes.

DH out tonight so I may be back in a bit.

Hopefully · 04/06/2012 00:02

Loving reading all the HoC updates, will post properly tomorrow when back home. Can definitely see you as pure natural Ollie.

Looby it is possible to be a natural classic (or classic natural, slightly different but v similar, obviously). Analysis is based on both body shape an and personality, and requires an alarming amount of introspection! Interestingly, it's made me much more at home with some of the 'dramatic' bits of my personality, rather than feeling guilty that I'm not more touchy-feely/bubbly.

Right, must go to bed, early start tomorrow to get home. Missing the DSs (and DH) loads and loads - much as i love my me time, two nights and days away is a bit too long for me really Sad

OllieinOrange · 04/06/2012 08:34

Ive decided its far easier shopping for other people.

Amber Saw this maxi in Gap and thought of you? here

Bloss did you see on the Boden Previw they have black patent pointy flats also lovely in navy

MiM Fritzi and I saw that range of crockery you are collecting in a nice homeware shop - its soooo lovely. We were v taken with the butter dish and egg cups!

Speaking of Boden Preview - is anyone taken with anything? Liked the grey skinny ankle skimmers here tho and this pretty top but it looks a bit short.

Im in my post-trip to UK grump - time to take it out on the pillows/duvets when I change the beds.

Emo76 · 04/06/2012 08:38

pickles that's great news, well done you!

red sounds like a really fun day

I am really impressed that the HoC lady tracked Olly and Fritzi down especially for Fritzi whose misdiagnosis as Margaret Thatcher seemed somewhat unwelcome!!

How can it be this cold and rainy on June for goodness sakes.

On a brighter note the sales must start soon, I have my eyes on an evening clutch and perhaps, finances dependent, a new tote type bag for work.

FritziGreenEyes · 04/06/2012 09:13

emo The Margaret Thatcher thing was never meant seriously. Other "celebrity classics" would be Kristin-Scott Thomas, Grace Kelly etc. and who would complain about that? Wink

My new-found ingenue-natural self is dressed in shorts and tunic top this morning. Poor DD has really bad D&V and my hands are already raw from all the scrubbing, laundry etc etc. Feel a bit like Cinderella after coming home from the ball Smile

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday despite the cold and rain. It was actually quite nice in Brighton yesterday. I even sat outside in a deckchair with a frozen yoghurt.

ollie All the bunting and Jubilee cheerfulness made me really miss the UK too. And I'm not even English Blush.

FritziGreenEyes · 04/06/2012 09:23

pickled Well done! When is your first day? Do you need a new wardrobe??? IIRC you said the offices were really stylish.

red Hope no hangover today for you?

AntPants1 · 04/06/2012 10:32

Hi ollie! I liked a few of the Boden Preview things too!! Am quite taken by wedge shoe boots

www.bodenpreview.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Shoes-Boots/Boots/AZ150/Womens-Wedge-Shoe-Boots.html?NavGroupID=11

pickled congratulations!

AntPants1 · 04/06/2012 10:34

fritzi love the idea of you in a deckchair eating frozen yoghurt. Did you buy anything?

Sorry to hear about your DD. Hope she (and your hands) recover soon.

blossoming · 04/06/2012 10:46

I'm on my way to the Eisteddfod, quite expensively dressed in the end in max mara, jigsaw, j brands and hunters. Stuck in festival traffic though and grateful for the potty in the boot!
Enjoy Dublin decam, and sorry you're both down fritzi and ollie. You're right about shopping for others ollie, I saw plenty of natural clothing with elastic waists yesterday for you! I liked the zip ankle skinnies, but haven't seen the shoes yet in the Boden preview.

OP posts:
pickledsiblings · 04/06/2012 11:04

Thanks for all the congrats, start next week for 2 days initially. Project has 3 more months left so any changes to our 'family lifestyle' need only be temporary which suits me fine right now. Great modern building with v. nice stylish chairs dotted about etc so I may need to shop a bit.

Fritzi, I hope DD gets better quickly. Yes to Kirsten Scott-Thomas!

Ants, those wedge boots are great, wonder how they'd look with a skirt?

Emo, are you at the colours done/style day stage yet? I know I advised Red not to bother as she is so young that she can afford to experiment and that in doing so her style will evolve naturally. Is the time to do it when the fear of experimenting kicks in?? Mind you, some mistakes can become hideously expensive as we all tend to wear more expensive cuts the older we get.

AmberNectarine · 04/06/2012 11:18

Morning all,

Am knackered as was up for 7am driving lesson. Still, am making decent progress.

Well done on the job pickled! Like the sound of the handsome Swede. DH and I used to work with a handsome Swede, and DH remains a bit jealous to this day, whenever his name is mentioned!

Shoe choices would be beloved Pistols, or a very pointy pair of metallic navy Lulu Guiness pumps, bloss. I wear Superga plimsolls in a rainbow of colours pretty much every day.

ollie, I really like that maxi, but strapless unworkably while bf (I'm an extrovert but not to that extent! Wink) So, is it leather trousers and stilettos for the school run now then?

And fritzi, I couldn't really see the Iron Lady in you. I think the revised apprisal is much more appropriate! Hope DD feels much better very soon.

red how's the head?

Off to a jubilee fair at the church next door (the easter morning bell ringers!), and already wearing indigo nudies and a white American Vintage top, just need to sling something red on!

Happy BH Monday all!

Fleecy · 04/06/2012 11:24

Congrats on job pickled

On way to airport (yay) but in traffic (boo) so will be absent for a whole week and will catch up properly on my return. Wearing roll up gap chinos, navy/cream Breton, tan wedges, leopard MN scarf and carrying Gracie.

Hope you feel okay today red and that your DD gets better soon fritzi

Enjoy the double bank holiday everyone

pickledsiblings · 04/06/2012 11:27

Have a great trip Fleecy, good luck with the house hunting.

Love the look of this Jigsaw parka.

AmberNectarine · 04/06/2012 14:36

Ooh dat nice. I'm making it my mission to find a navy parka this year, thy all seem to be khaki or beige.

AmberNectarine · 04/06/2012 14:37

Great outfit fleecy, and Envy of Gracie! Have promised myself if I see one for 50% off I'm nabbing it!!

Big congrats pickled

must admit I am still totally bemused by the whole style thing.

hope Dd on the mend soon fritzi it does feel that you are hitting the ground running when you get home.

Spotted blouse in brighton and this and this which were all gorgeous but totally unworkable for me.The pictures do not do them any justice though.

ReineDeSaba · 04/06/2012 14:59

lovely outfits bloss and fleecy have fun!
