DS1 just back from the school walk- which takes place over 4 nights!!!! 5km every night. I was a bit hmm about him doing it but the whole class is. Told DS2 he can do it just on Thursday evening. Goodness knows what DS1 will be like by the end of the week - grumpy with a capital G.

Evening! Thank you for all your head-related concern; i was asleep by 9.30 and must have slept through the hangover. Result. Another lovely day at a local picnic, whilst DH and his friend slogged their guts out laying our kitchen floor, which has been sitting in the garage for some months now. Is lovely to no longer have a vile concrete floor. 2 more big projects to go (in a year or two, when our financial situation is a little less precarious, I think) and we'll be there.

Pickled well done - you must be thrilled. How exciting. And an open door for further opportunities.

Ollie - I often wear my white jeans with tan heels either hasbeens or last year's boden dowtowns. And prefer white jeans with light coloured tops. However am about 3stone heavier than Ms Rimes.

Just a quickie while both DC are still sleeping. Loving the jubilee weekend so much. Big family lunch out (cobalt blue silk dress, white blazer and DD attached to me in red) and thenwatched flotilla from sofa on tv. Yesterday's party here was great success and the sun shone! Children tore round garden, DHs got drunk and the women watched the concert: fun had by all. Wore cherry red skinnies and white fine knit short sleeved top plus LV enormous red flowery scarf for outside bits. Thanks for food advice, went for judicious mix of own simple bits and M and S and seemed to go down well. Generous provision of prosecco probably helped.

Brighton sounds fab and pleased you were pleased with diagnoses ollie and fritzi. Still so intrigued by it all though can't imagine being v obedient if I did get analysed. Don't like rules much unless I'm setting them .

We have been up to our eyes in packing/unpacking and due to a massive misunderstanding cockup we have no internet

Anyway in the midst of the chaos I sat down in front of the tv for 10 mins last night and saw the best thing I've seen in years - Grace Jones hula hoopin I loved her in the 80s, dh and I are trying to work out how old she is, must be close to 60. Brilliant, brilliant, I keep replaying it as it's making me smile so much.

Going to Starbucks later for wifi and a big catch up!
