Oh hello you lovely thing

I know its £££ but it looks gorgeous. Has anyone seen in the flesh as yet?

haven't seen it in rl but have seen pics of ferne whatserface toting the "black forest" colour and it looks more slouchy and informal than the static shots.

i have become obsessed with the petrol colour, though, which is being released later in the year

and might have interrogated a mulberry salesperson for the exact details
Blush

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2012 12:05

Oh I love the petrol - I am seriously spending way too long working out if deer or petrol will work better with my wardrobe Smile

i have a gap for a blue bag that needs to be filled as i'm wearing more blues and greys and less black these days

the petrol is going to rrp for an additional £100 apparently - but i neeeeeed it

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2012 12:23

Yes I wear a lot of blue and grey but figure the deer would go with my navy coats . . .

What a dilemma Wink

Am liking the subtle branding...hopefully this is a sign of things to come!

OllieinOrange · 18/05/2012 12:46

Lovely bag - interesting about it looking more slouchy in rl shots.

I love the shape and style of the Hetty Hobo and yes to the subtle branding on it. Be interesting to see what A/W colours in comes in.

Decameron · 18/05/2012 12:51

Lovely bag. Sadly I can't do handheld bags and small children. Hope they will do some other bags in the petrol colour.

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2012 13:05

Yes agree to liking the subtle branding.

I also like this lock satchel/ one

And I have a big birthday coming up soon . . .

MrsC if you wear more classic colours then the deer probably would be the one to go for. it is lovely but i have a few bags in similar colours

ollie the mulberry lady i spoke with yesterday mentioned ferne had been papped with the black forest colour, so i googled recent pics and found a couple here

i quite liked the hetty too, but prefer the fact the del ray can be zipped to contain the stuff that always seems to accumulate in my bags...

also, the petrol is v practical and won't show up marks as easily, no?

MrsCampbellBlack · 18/05/2012 13:30

I think its actually a bit slouchier than I'd figured looking at those photos - I wanted something a little more structured I think . . .

The petrol does look a gorgeous colour.

Local place is getting them in the next two weeks so will go and investigate.

It's a lovely bag but a bit too like the Bayswater and I already have one of those, plus as decam wisely points out it would be a ball ache when toddler-wrangling...

Housewife2010 · 18/05/2012 13:51

gorgeous - sorry no capitals - stroppy toddler on my knee.
i'm lusting after the cookie bayswater in pebble too. swoon...

justabigdisco · 21/05/2012 20:06

I had a look at this in Selfridges at the weekend, it is LOVELY but smaller than I expected from the photos. Beautiful Smile

mrsebojones · 21/05/2012 20:18

I like the lock satchel one linked to but that colour would be a disaster in my hands. Hoping come autumn it may turn up in other colours...

justabigdisco · 21/05/2012 21:00

According to the assistant the petrol one will be out in June along with the purpley one (11th I think she said)

MrsBovary · 21/05/2012 21:06

'Tis lovely. Though impractical for me (also small children to manage), I have boring Mulberry messenger bags, though I plan to treat myself to a small Bayswater soon.

crazyaccountant · 21/05/2012 21:23

I saw the oak and black in our local House of Fraser Mulberry concession on Sunday and I have to say I had to be forced to put it down and walk out without one, I really loved it. Zip so practical and very subtle branding and in my opinion classic styling so will look great for year's to come! Now trying to justify getting one Wink

ToastedTeacakes · 21/05/2012 21:43

Ever so slightly off topic, but why do the black versions never seem as popular? I am currently torn between the black or oak Lily, maybe the black are a little more classic or conservative looking? Brown just seems so commom (and I don't mane that in a negative way at all! - just that when I search, the chosen ones always tend to be oak)

I am secretly luxuriating in thoughts of the black Lily, yet the chirpy part of me leans towards the oak.

{bag induced migraine comin on}

ToastedTeacakes · 21/05/2012 21:43

common not commom!

frankie76 · 21/05/2012 21:49

I'm on the waiting list for the forest colour - it comes out 12 June
It was a little smaller than I thought but it is structured.
I went for the hetty but was disappointed with that - thought the gold handle looked a little cheap

teejwood · 21/05/2012 22:25

bigdisco did they really say the petrol was going to be out in June? HoF told me August.

PropertyNightmare · 21/05/2012 22:43

The hand only aspect of the Del Ray rules it out for me. Bayswater is just about doable with a pushchair as I can get it on my shoulder. I'll be sticking to my Alexas and other strappy and hobo style Mulberry bags.

hiviolet · 22/05/2012 07:42

It's gorgeous BUT I wish Mulberry would stop naming bags after crap celebs (see also: Alexa).

Also could never justify a Mulberry at the prices they charge now. A Bayswater is £200 more expensive than it was 3-4 years ago Sad

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/05/2012 07:49

Oh I know - the name really puts me off but am still obsessed - the colour is just like a caramac and would so go with everything in my wardrobe.

Birthday not till August - hope they're not all gone by then. Noticed its on JL website now . . .

Surely you could have it a teeny bit early MrsCB? Wink
