Yet another wedding outfit thread - kill me now...

I promised myself I wouldn't post one of these, but I'm desperate...
Have trawled the shops for hours and I'm getting nowhere. It is imperative that I look my best for this wedding!! Seriously posh but cool London crowd, lots of ex uni 'friends' that I haven't seen in years.
However, I have a budget of about 100 quid for my whole outfit, so it needs to be cheap. Or on my next directory account...
So... I'm a size 6, age 30, decent legs, no boobs to speak of, quite pale, dark brown bobbed hair. I like navy, bright green and the coral colours that are around at the moment. Will probably fake tan for the wedding.
Please help me!!
Have tried on one dress in Next that I like - the 'slub' dress in pink. Why they call it that I've no idea as it is tailored and formal. I like that shape because it gives me the illusion of hips/butt.
All suggestions gratefully received!

Ooh, a challenge, nice!

Have you any bags / shoes already that we could consider in teh line up?

GeorgeEliot · 09/05/2012 20:18

sounds like you have a great figure and will look good in anything. look in Zara or Topshop - more stylish than Next.

MrsLettuce · 09/05/2012 20:20

Would you consider this in purple?

Bags, no. But I have an extensive shoe collection Grin.
Have suede nude wedges with a patent heel, some peep-toe teal wedges and various courts.
Also have gorgeous grey animal print pony skin platform sling backs which I am dying to wear, and which would probably go well with navy or jade...

I shouldn't really give this away, but after searching all day last week for a wedding outfit, I forced myself to try on a navy lace dress in monsoon. It was £70, but had £15 off, is quite fitted and has a ow detail at the top. I am planning to wear some bright coral shoes and bag with it... If I can find them. This was the best I could find. Can't do links but it is on the monsoon website under the fusion bit, they say it is grey, but it is 100% navy.
Just make sure the wedding you're going to isn't on the 4th of June in Devon??

... I think it lovely anyway.., and I couldn't find anything else. May not be to you're taste tho.

I am a size 8 and also have no boobs, and I'm 31. I have also just re-read yr post properly, and no danger if being at the same wedding!

EllieorOllie · 09/05/2012 20:26

Looked in topshop with no joy.
I like the lk Bennet and the asos one but am worried about length. Think I look better in just above the knee and am only 5'5". If they still had the asos one in teal I'd order it anyway, but I'm not so convinced by the purple....

Wow! Brilliant.

Shall keep looking, can you link to any of the shoes?

Teal would be just grand with the purple dress and a fuchsia bag.

LittlePandaBear · 09/05/2012 20:32

I love the dresses on this site: Sugarhill

I can't choose just one to link for you but have a browse!

I have delicate gold flats but not high heels. Although I wonder whether I could make it a bit 'edgier' with a less weddingy shoe choice. Hmm. Damn, now I'm seriously considering the dress!

Oh yes, and I failed to mention that I'm going to have commute through London in the outfit. Can't really do spindly heels!

Oooh you are tempting me. Had no idea lk bennet did things like that, thought it was all tailored!
