What shoes are you wearing with jeans in this weather?

Well, just that really. I feel stupid in knee high boots in May, but Converse and ballet pumps are not going to cut it in this torrential flood iffy spring weather. What are other people wearing?

Heeled ankle boots (bit like Cowboy but not as high) but looking for other suggestions.

lololizzy · 05/05/2012 22:43

Ankle boots, either flat ones or wedge ones. Mainly my Fly London grey ones which have low wedge . Having said that, the wedge hasn't been enough to elevate me and they are not waterproof so I've ended up with split toes from being wet all day! It should really be wellies but i live in London so would look ridiculous

Still wearing boots if it is cold. Still wearing my winter coat tbh!

YoullLaughAboutItOneDay · 05/05/2012 22:45

I am tall and spend my days belting after the toddler and crouching down with the baby, so I'm mostly a 'flat and low' girl these days. Could work a slight heel though...

I'm doing the heeled ankle boots thing too but only because they seem to be the only shoes I possess which actually are waterproof.

Collision · 05/05/2012 22:46

Long black boots and my winter coat!

I am cold!

And the weather is due to last til June!

FourYolksAche · 05/05/2012 22:46

Have given up on jeans until the rain passes - wearing nice coat with tights and boots or cheap ballet flats. Jeans take ages to dry and provide footwear problems.

ArcticRoll · 05/05/2012 22:52

Leather Ash hi tops or Ash ankle boots.

doormat · 05/05/2012 22:53

tall uggs or military boots

FunnysInLaJardin · 05/05/2012 23:05

oh and I am cold too. Am wearing a cashmere scarf to MN. In fucking MAY

DialsMavis · 05/05/2012 23:18

I have some non leaky leather converse high tops. They were a gift that I wasn't that sure about, but I have had lovely warm dry feet for the last few weeks Smile

Ultrasonic · 05/05/2012 23:20

Grin

thenightsky · 05/05/2012 23:34

I'm still in winter wardrobe too... long boots, thick tights and a Helly Hanson coat. Normally I spend May Bank Holiday putting away winter stuff and pulling out my summer dresses, ballet flats, cropped trousers, white jeans, vest tops etc. Not

startail · 05/05/2012 23:53

I'm back tucking my summer skinny trousers in long boots. Or boot cut jeans and mum boots.

I want to wear my new wedge sandals

startail · 05/05/2012 23:53

I have new cropped trousers too!

mrsebojones · 06/05/2012 08:38

Please not til June!!!! This weather just kills my mood. Was in London yesterday for Ds birthday and it was wet and freezing. Years gone by we have had parties outside in the sun. So fed up of wearing same things day after day. But I digress... I'm also doing the heeled ankle boot with skinnys tucked in. Feeling like its become a bit of a uniform. So sick of jeans that I wore my joules blue denim skirt with blue opaques and heeled grey ankle boots for a change. Yesterday I wore my ash mid wedge leather high tops and 70s style jeans. They kept my feet dry.

dingdong3 · 06/05/2012 08:46

I think we've been more fortunate weather-wise in Belfast - hasn't been as wet - just cold. I'm persevering in my ballet pumps. It's character building :)

lumbago · 06/05/2012 08:48
