Help, I need dress advice

I altered a dress for DD - DD says it's wrong she might be right

Soupdragon & I have been playing with it on this thread

But we need more 'professional' advice - can you "Style & Beauty" please look at the short yellow & pink dress on my profile (I think it's the second pic) & tell me how to fix the skirt?

Just so you know it is for competitive Latin dancing so think 'Strictly'
