Just thought I'd let y'all know that Poundland has started selling Sally Hansen, Rimmel, Miss Sporty and Maybelline products. I got a Rimmel blusher and its lovely. They have eye, lip and face make-up as well as nail stuff. Not bad for anyone on a budget.

Oh great, will look tomorrow when I go into town :)

HipHopOpotomus · 19/04/2012 11:17

I've brought Revlon & Rimmel from Poundland before - you can get bargains.

FakeFurCoatAndThermalKnickers · 19/04/2012 11:33

Oh, yes; I bought 3 Sally Hansen lipsticks in a bag for £1 in poundland last week; the lip gloss was horrible (really strong smell, very sticky), but the two lipsticks are lovely, a pinky red called Garnet and another called 'Soft Red' which is exactly the shade of red I'd just spent all morning looking for, and failing to find, in Selfridges. FakeFur just got to say I LOVE your name - I wish I could think of a name like that !! Smile

Smile Why thank you LukeWarm

Collection 2000 nail varnish in Sherbet Lemons - 50p as it came with a neutral lipgloss - looks a little bit like Chanel Mimosa (I think).

I also noticed there was a lot of Almay at our PoundWorld. My Mum has v sensitive skin and this used to be the only brand she'd buy.

Think I'll be going back for a rummage. Wink

warmandwooly · 24/04/2012 20:34

Yup. Had a browse yesterday. Few weeks ago I got Revlon Just Bitten lip stain..

Mombojombo · 24/04/2012 20:36

Superdrug have just made all MUA (make-up academy) £1 per item too. Got an amazing green eyeliner pencil as a tester and it's lasted all day so I'll head back tomorrow for a few other bits.

BrianButterfield · 24/04/2012 20:37

I got a no-brand gel eyeliner from poundland which I am really pleased with! And an OK blusher (bit powdery but I like the colour). Hint: the collection 2000 eyeshadow which comes as TWO trios for £1 lasts all day if you use a thin layer of nappy cream (I've use Sudocrem and Johnsons successfully) as a primer. Use the freebies from Bounty packs and you have a real bargain faceful of slap Grin

mirpuppet · 24/04/2012 21:26

Thanks for the heads up.

OracleInaCoracle · 24/04/2012 21:27

I get all my make up from poundland!!

lololizzy · 24/04/2012 21:56

I love the Sally Hansen stuff, and a while back got a load of Esprit makeup at Poundland. Rimmel lipliners, I've bulk bought in case they go...must have about 20!

lololizzy · 24/04/2012 21:57

ah I got the Sherbet Lemon polish too! love it, very flattering

lololizzy · 24/04/2012 21:58

Great for makeup sponges (for foundation) too.

Monty27 · 24/04/2012 21:58

Thanks OP :)

googles for nearest Poundland

lololizzy · 24/04/2012 21:59

Have always found Poundland Epsom & New Malden to be great for makeup if anyone's interested! It really depends on the area..have been to some that have nothing

lololizzy · 24/04/2012 22:04

Don't get the Pearl Shine roll on lipgloss though (non famous brand).Dire. Roll on air, rather

EllenParsons · 25/04/2012 00:58

Ooh. There is some form of Poundshop in my town but I don't know if it's Poundland. Will have to have a look! Thanks for tip.

lololizzy · 25/04/2012 21:45

they're not consistant though. Stock really varies, what they have in one town they won't necessarily have at one few miles away. I once found loads of John Frieda frizz ease conditioners in one (or it may have been 99pshop) in Petersfield and bought so many the bags split on the train And have never seen them in other shops since - best to buy when you see, as it may be the last time

omydarlin · 25/04/2012 23:01

lololizzy I used to go mad in the Petersfield 99p shop when I used to do my weekly shop there (our Tesco's was closed for a while). I always used to come out with longer arms!

The rimmel exaggerate eyes liners are fab from Poundland I have in teal and purple!- has anyone seen any of those microfibre turban things lately?

lololizzy · 25/04/2012 23:14

omydarlin I did two weeks training in Petersfield, twas the best 99pshop ever, i used to get as much as I could carry home on train! I'm still getting thru it all, over a year on! loft full of John Frieda shampoos and conditioners etc

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 25/04/2012 23:16

It's brilliant that one in Petersfield isn't it? Stays open late too, when all the other shops are shut.

omydarlin · 25/04/2012 23:21

Makes not self to start shopping in Petersfield again :D WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes I have heard there is a Turkish restaurant now any good??

FoofFighter · 25/04/2012 23:24

The chit chat branded stuff is not bad either. I've tried eyeshadow, gel liner in a pot with a brush, foundation and bronzer/blusher so far and been more than happy with them.

My best find in Poundland was a pack of 3 Revlon lipglides in a packet and a huge tub of Naked glossing conditioner :)

lololizzy · 25/04/2012 23:25

Epsom Poundland has TWO FLOORS !!! (Btw. I don't work for Poundland)
