Just thought I'd let y'all know that Poundland has started selling Sally Hansen, Rimmel, Miss Sporty and Maybelline products. I got a Rimmel blusher and its lovely. They have eye, lip and face make-up as well as nail stuff. Not bad for anyone on a budget.

ooh i loved the 3 lipglides. Foofighter, does the gel liner last well?

omydarlin · 25/04/2012 23:33

makes another note to self to visit Epsom poundland too lololizzy how funny all my family live around those areas you have mentioned - it was the wonder of Epsom poundland (as advised by sister ) that led to said purchase of rimmel eyeliner!

FoofFighter · 26/04/2012 00:04

only used it a couple times on short evenings out so not really put it to the test yet lololizzy

ha Epsom's the best I've ever found for makeup....by far. Mind you, not been for a while, could've changed. I live in Surbiton but their 99p shop (and Kingston's Poundland) are rubbish (although I did get 9 nailvarnishes for 50p in 99pshop as they'd fallen out of their packs!)

lololizzy · 26/04/2012 00:08

a lot of them (i hope I'm not coming across as someone who spends all their time touring Poundlands!) have had Clearasil Ultra Overnight Serum lately, which is great for PMS zit breakouts even when you're in your early 40s Blush

My local Poundworld (the one with navy and yellow colouring) as opposed to Poundlands Turquoise and yellow... anyway. They have started selling Roc stuff. Its on a high shelf behind the till. I know this stuff is around 6-7 quid in Boots.

I used to have a Saturday job in Poundland, was very good for someone who was terrible at Maths but liked a bargain! They get end of line/last season stuff but I think it was quite a taboo to shop in there, now you can hardly get through the door, it's packed! Better stuff too. Hmm

I worked at Poundstretcher years ago. Some people thought it was a Poundshop. It was still cheap though. We used to get a lot of shoplifters too. I'd be watching my boss chase them while thinking "Oh the humanity".

Poundland is amazing, I go every week for a rummage. Buy baby stuff, beauty stuff, books, dvds and yes, pombears!

Couldn't be without it.

valiumredhead · 26/04/2012 09:31

Our Poundland has no good toiletries and make up Sad

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/04/2012 09:57

Omydarlin, not sure about Turkish restaurant, I live a bit away from Petersfield and only go there every now and then for a cake in Heidis and a visit to the 99p shop amongst other things. The odd night out too, so will look out for said restaurant.

FoofFighter · 26/04/2012 11:12

I've just been in and bought a bottle of Australian Bodycare Argan Oil shampoo and a Sally Hansen nail crackle glaze thing - will report back!

FoofFighter · 26/04/2012 16:58

Was Outdoor Girl nail crackle sorry - just tried it, it does what it says it does. But I think the effect is awful and especially in the gold shade I picked, it looked like I had some kind of fungal nail infection!

lololizzy · 27/04/2012 18:44

Oh. Dear. Had just purchased that myself!

DaisyMaisyJessicaEmily · 27/04/2012 18:48

Might look nicer in other shades?
