Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

bloss I have ordered the toucan scarf from matches.......

pickled I have literally no idea!!!!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 15:46

Ants, do you want us to help? You could browse the DM for ideas.

Decameron · 13/04/2012 15:56

Thanks Bloss! I never buy Glamour, will get it tomorrow. Have cancelled Vogue subscription. I prefer browsing through the Matches website.

Pickled, yes, house prices are way, way down.

Lovely scarf, Ants.

alwaysrunninginheels · 13/04/2012 15:59

Hello hello hello. Was advised to have a wee look here yesterday by Amber- wow what stylish ladies post here! And a thread that starts with "what J brands did you get"? - well it sounds perfect! And a mention of a Coach discount code- i may have gone to heaven! Anyway i wondered if any of you stylish ladies could advise me re hasbeens- amber mentioned there were ladies of knowledge here....so if you know- are they comfy? What heel height is good and how do you look after them??? Now off to find out what a toucan scarf is.....

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 16:15

always, I have these in an older coloured sole version, like the black but in blue and red. I am on my third Summer with them and they are still like new, no looking after required. Majorly comfy and fit fairly broad feet unlike the H&M version I believe. I think they look good with skinnies and obviously good with a skirt/maxi.

Decameron · 13/04/2012 16:34

Always, I still haven't had a despatch email for the pistol boots. :(

MidnightinMoscow · 13/04/2012 16:51

Thanks for the well wishes, MrsCB you were right, I do have an infection. Started antibiotics today from the GP. I laughed at your comment about medics not being the best patients...I absolutely fit the bill. Grin

Great shopping bloss and sounds like you had a lovely day out too. I really like the fritzi dress as well.

Ollie, how funny in H&M...you do make me laugh! That dress you linked to on WIT's blog, is my nemesis. I looked high and low for it last year, but it sold out everywhere. It's Topshop, and some do come up on ebay but I am a bit lost as to what size to go for.

Icey, what a lovely post from you...totally understand where you are coming from. I felt that same after DS, and although DD's birth was quite traumatic it was like I knew I could deal with it, as I had been there before. I agree that I am enjoying this stage with DD so much more this time round.

Nice purchases Decam, there is some nice stuff in Whistles at the moment.

Hello alwaysrunning. I don't have Hasbeens, but I do have a pair of very similar clogs from Ugg. They are very comfortable, although it does take a little while to get used to walking in them...there is not much 'give' in the sole. But, I still love them!

Glad you are enjoying the start of your holidays Ants, very well deserved. When are you going to HN?

Geordie I second the TS idea - I have the same ponte blazer in Navy that Verity has.

Used my Gap 30% for some summer things for DS, plus the top that Amber has. Also bought a shrunken denim jacket in H&M too.

Blue I saw your peppermint jeans in TS today - such a pretty colour. I laughed at your capable comment, I am so not Grin

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 17:01

Smile at MrsCB being MiM's guardian angel. Hope your scar heals quickly now MiM.

Earharts on sale if anyone is still looking, lots of sizes.

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 17:15

Grey MIH in a 25, bargain.

OllieinOrange · 13/04/2012 17:17

Great feedback, thank you Decameron Smile
You have confirmed my fears about the swing nature of the slub top.
Sooooo, ladies of W&A, please vote for one of the following:

Do I get:

a)This Whistles top
or b) the WC linen top

I know they are both quite plain and shapeless but thats the look I am after. I like the look of the Whistles one but am wondering if the batwing sleeves would be limiting in terms of wearing a jacket?

MidnightinMoscow · 13/04/2012 17:19

The Whistles one is lovely Ollie, but I'd size down in it, it come's up pretty big.

AntPants1 · 13/04/2012 17:21

I'd get the WC ollie

Russianred · 13/04/2012 17:21

Hello Everyone, I'm baaaa-ccck. Have had a lovely, lovely holiday; am so pleased we made the effort to go. Spent a lot of time with relatives I haven't seen for years and my oldest friend and her husband. No shopping done, but had some very pleasing sartorial moments - Marni pink top with navy shorts and gold sandals was my best, I think. Also raided my sister's cosmetics back and discovered the best styling product yet - Shu Uemera Kasai Black Sugar hair stuff. Made my hair so shiny and textured.

I am at the IL's tonight so will pop back with a cup of tea tomorrow for a thorough read-through and catch up. Hope everyone has had a great Easter and are well.

I have a few new items on my wishlist:

Pale blue chambray shirt (borrowed my sisters, worn open over the Oasis red breton dress Suburban linked to - looked great).
Leopard belt (probably Warehouse, mine broke whilst away)
Two summer tops - one white, one striped.

What have I missed (news and links, obvs..!) ??!!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 17:22

Last one, white jeans in a 28, great reduction!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 17:23
MrsCampbellBlack · 13/04/2012 17:26

Oh so glad you've seen a Dr MIM but obviously not glad its infected. Hopefully it'll clear up nice and quickly now though.

Have added lots of things to my white co virtual basket today but my very favourite are these for DD I hasten to add.

Always - I have these in the nature and cognac. The nature definitely looked more tired more quickly and do be careful of indigo from jeans marking the heels. But I love them. They are pretty narrow so I did size up to a 36 and am generally a 35. They do need a bit of breaking in to get comfy so I wouldn't wear them for the first time all day when out and about.

Things I am currently obsessing over include this top and this necklace.

Bought Ascending&categoryId=208556&parent_categoryId=204484&pageSize=20&refinements=category~[210007|208556]&noOfRefinements=1 this necklace in tosho which is very pretty and can be looped round twice.

Also saw Blu's peppermint jeans and they are a gorgeous colour.

this top very pretty in the flesh and cotton unlike a lot of stuff in warehouse. Also they've got very nice denim jackets for anyone after one.

Icey - I felt exactly the same after DS2. DS1 was a very tricksy baby and I found his first year very very hard where as with DS2 it was all so much easier and enjoyable. Without getting too psycho-babbly I actually found it quite healing as had really been very down when I had DS1. So lovely to read your post Smile

Amber - I'd go for a mini-bag and just chuck all child stuff in the pushchair. DD has her own little bag for wipes etc as those on my fb will know Wink

Russianred · 13/04/2012 17:30

Quick glance back - Whistles top Ollie, love it. Can I see the white top you bought please MiM - glad to hear you've been to the doctors and are on ABs - hope that clears up very, very quickly. Also, I bought the WIT dress on Ebay last year and ended up selling it on - it was a very weird fabric that clung to everything and generated loads of static, so don't feel too forlorn about it. You have ordered pistols Decam? Am Envy.

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/04/2012 17:32

Hi Red - so glad you had a lovely time Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/04/2012 17:33

Pretty star scarfs now if I was to purchase do you think bright pink and red or coral and black?

Am paleish blondish . . .

Russianred · 13/04/2012 17:41

Hello to you too (two? Grin) MrsCB and Pickled. MrsCB those are both very lovely tops - particularly the Warehouse one, sweet without being twee.

Hopefully · 13/04/2012 17:52

MrsCB I like the coral and black best (actually, I like the orange and bone best, but for me, rather than you Smile).

Hi Red! Glad you had a lovely time.

Ollie I like the WC one best, think the batwing sleeves would piss me off in an everyday sort of top, although I generally am not averse to them.

MIM Sad poor you. Good that you've got antibiotics, but how rubbish about having an infection.

Always can't help you on hasbeens as they give me flashbacks to being forced into leather clogs as a kid and therefore I loathe and despise them with a passion Grin

Have just tried on my Asos order while hiding from my children (DH is home, I'm not just negligent). Keeping this comically bargainous skirt and probably keeping these nude heels although I'm waiting for my even cheaper ones to arrive from M&S before deciding for definite (ASOS ones are a shade higher than I'd really like, but are so very very neutral that they're perfect in all other ways). Had high hopes for this skirt but the waist was massive and the length a little off for me, and for £31.50 I can make something better quality.

Am hoping that the postman makes a freakishly early round tomorrow before we go away, as I am sure that I have other things arriving (mostly ebay purchases, but possibly my monster DP order).

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 17:57

Ollie, missed your post - the Whistles one is lovely, may have to purchase.

blossoming · 13/04/2012 18:00

Lovely to have you back red. Glad you had a great time.
Links are slow to load right now so can't comment sorry..
Who has J Brand 910s and 811s? What is the difference? I have been trawling Matches as you may have noticed, and am very taken with the red 811s, not on shopbob unfortunately. Is it that the 910s are tighter?
Flattery will get you everywhere running! Thanks for popping by. The hasbeens trend passed me by, but then I do have unfeasibly ugly feet and avoid anything remotely clumpy. In my imaginary life I am wearing YSl peeptoes..
Is it wrong to have googled 'calories burnt whilst ironing' and then added the tally to my 'cardio' on MFP?

blossoming · 13/04/2012 18:02

mim, so glad we hounded you! Hope the ABs kick in soon, and all will be well again!

pickledsiblings · 13/04/2012 18:03

Bloss, yes...v.v. wrong Grin.
