Sorry about thread title. Hope everyone is back from holidays soon and will find us here.

amber Which JBrands did you get?

bonsoir I tried on those two tops in Cos before Easter and was tempted too. Bought a simple navy dress in Cos and shoes, which are not on the website Hmm. Will return this top. Cos is great at the moment I think.

Thanks NY, I'm not sure, I could work it out on some website. Do you have something you run with that tells you?

It's going to hurt to get through the unfit stage.

I really like those Ants but sadly I can't show my feet.

pickledsiblings · 17/04/2012 18:51

Yay Marsha, well done!

Hopefully, dress looks lovely on but agree that bottom half syncs better than top half with your 'style'. The heather Me&Em looks more like a rosy pink.

MrsCB, I remember you dying a VW and colouring in the stitching Grin.

suburbanstyle · 17/04/2012 18:58

I won't complain about the weather again. Have had an allergic reaction to something, probably washing powder and am covered head to toe in red spots.

Hopefully have been nosing at your photos. You look amazing in the Davina, such great legs Envy
I hope you have had some head space today. My DD is very very clingy especially in public. I was a bit Hmm when a nanny at toddlers today said she had been telling her employer all about her terrible separation anxiety. I just figure it is a phase and when she's a teenager she won't want me anywhere near her. But then I have the luxury of no other responsibilities. I would struggle to manage the needs of another child as well. You always sound like you do a great job.

Also Envy Decameron. I wish I had ordered the Topshop pistolalikes, they are sold out and £££ on ebay now!

Verity I remember panic buying one of those gold shrugs. Wish i had had the initiative to sell them on too.

blossoming · 17/04/2012 19:13

verity, hope you can give your ds lots of love and support till he gets through this year. Maybe see the Head, ask to see their policy on differentiation/special needs. Must be so hard.

Well done marsha! First time is always the hardest. We are turning into a fitness thread!
hopefully, the davina looks great on you. I have two in grey pinstripe and tweed, and I showed my HoC the pinstripe one and she said it was perfect for dramatic classic winter. I think you need to have an occasion to wear it in mind though. I'd hate to think of it hanging unworn in your wardrobe! Love/wear mine to death.
decam, the toucan scarf is massive: about a metre wide and 2 metres long. Perfect length and lovely and soft. However there are big green patches, that I'm trying to convince myself are 'ice green', and I'm worried it doesn't fit my brief of classic, dramatic. I think it will look lovely over a white top with indigo bottoms. But is that rather limiting. Also, for those of you who haven't met the lovely ants, we are polar opposites as regards colouring!
I do want to keep it. Maybe wear it to work too in the 'summer'.
Still haven't kept up today. Want to say hi to charlotte, and pleased people are getting inspiration from the thread.

notyummy · 17/04/2012 19:26

Marsha- i just use AA autoroute on our computer to either tell me how far I have run, or plan another route (ie if I know I have 40 minutes the next day then I will look for a 5 mile route as I know I can do that in 40 minutes.) If I don't set off with a distance in mind then I find it difficult to push myself to finish it. I think there are loads of sites where you can plan routes - if you try googling 'planning runs' I bet you will find some handy ones.

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2012 19:34

marsha I use an app called Runkeeper on my phone which records distance, speed etc. chimes in with how far I've gone every km which is helpful for motivation.

In such a mood today, both my DH and DM have pissed me right off today, have burst randomly into tears a couple of times over the last 48hrs and can hardly keep my eyes open this evening. I'm either chronically sleep deprived or pregnant. I'm worried because the baby has actually slept quite well the last few nights. Might have to POAS tomorrow if this continues...

Hopefully · 17/04/2012 19:38

Marsha I use the Map My Run app.

Have a growing eBay pile, really must take photos and list this weekend. Includes some of the nice, but much too big now, clothes I bought in Jan.

blossoming · 17/04/2012 19:42

toucan scarf verity. Just realised it is perfect sarong size and goes perfectly with fuchsia espadrilles. So keeping it happily!

FritziGreenEyes · 17/04/2012 19:43

ants Cycling is so liberating. Much more fun than traipsing around on foot. Hope you have lots more fun things planned for your time off Smile.

Amber- hormones? Sounds like it could be awful pmt.

Wondered if anyone else saw Game Change which was on Saturday night on Sky. Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin- really good and I though shewas amazing in the role.

FritziGreenEyes · 17/04/2012 19:51

hopefully You look great in the Davina!

ants Love those Dutti sandals but I know that I would hardly wear them, so sitting on hands.

amber Bath, Wine, bed?

bloss The Tucan is gorgeous. Love big scarves, smaller ones annoy me.

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2012 19:52

Do you get PMT if you're not having periods? [ignorant]

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2012 19:54

Ah, fritzi, I'd love to, but the absence of DH and two determinedly awake children renders that super plan a total non-starter. I feel quite wistful for the days when any bath I had wasnt lukewarm and complete with slippery toddler...

Hopefully · 17/04/2012 19:58

Amber maybe your period is about to come back? I was a hormonal mess for about a month before mine came back when BFing, both times.

Decameron · 17/04/2012 19:59

I have that scarf on my list now, Bloss!

Mim, small babies are great shopping companions, I find. Toddlers, not so much. I like your links. I'm tempted by the navy top.

Portia, I think you're right, DH's parents said similar to him and we will probably do the same to our DDs! My dad is from Temple Bar (when it was tenements, not b

Don't know about colours/style either, Hopefully, but you look fab in the Davina. Really like that heather pink colour.

Can someone explain the style day thing to me, is it if you are unsure of what suits you, how to accessorise, and so on?

NY, I am so impressed at your fitness levels. I need to get my ass in gear. Well done on the run, Marsha.

Suburban, maybe Topshop will restock as the boots were so popular.

The ones I got are actually terracotta not tan, but I like them. Alwaysrunning, those colour boots look good too.

Hope you are enjoying your time off work, Ants.

rufus101 · 17/04/2012 20:00

Fabulous scarf Bloss I like it lots. Pity delivery is so bloody expensive to here.
Well done on the run Marsha. Watch out, it's addictive. I don't care how far I run, I go by times. So I have a 35 minute run, a 40 minute run, an hour etc.
Hopefully you look amazing in the Davina dress, very va va voom.
Decam did you manage to get the pistols at a sale price? Am very Envy if you did. I'd buy them a size smaller if I had seen them (and chop my toes off) or a size larger (and get insoles)! Obviously the latter is more likely!
NY I bought that glycolic peel stuff as well. I've done it 3 times, don't see any difference in my wrinkles, but skin hasn't fallen off my face yet! Grin Wish it would, and I could "start all over" again!

Decameron · 17/04/2012 20:02

Rufus, yes, I got them half price. :) Not as good a price as Amber found but not bad. I'll be back in June if you want me to bring the scarf over.

Hope you feel better soon, Amber.

Decameron · 17/04/2012 20:09

Just read your explanation on the style day on another thread, Hopefully, thanks. I ate with the children at 5 (not very relaxing, to be honest, I prefer a salad on my own later with a glass of wine!) but too full to shred so I am off to clear out my clothes or maybe just watch Silent Witness.

rufus101 · 17/04/2012 20:16

Have just noticed that Matches have free worldwide delivery till Aprel 30th!!!
What about this MIH shirt? Is the blue wrong for a winter? Would you wear it Bloss? (My acid test! Always) I am this close to getting the Toucan scarf, but I'm going shopping this weekend, so I'm holding my powder till then!

rufus101 · 17/04/2012 20:18

Half price Decam, ooh I'm faint! Thanks for the offer on the scarf! Just noticed there's free delivery till the end of April, so I can now mull it over at my leisure!

Amber- sorry Blush- didn't know your periods hadn't restarted (some friends did even whilst feeding.) You may still get hormonal fluctuations ....but I am v obviously no expert!

MrsCampbellBlack · 17/04/2012 20:27

Amber - agree with Hopefully could be pmt or you could be pregnant [helpful]

Pretty top

AmberNectarine · 17/04/2012 20:36

Don't be sorry ny! I am that stupid I don't even know if you can get PMT without periods! I don't really understand all that as when not pg or breastfeeding I take my pill without breaks [unhealthy]

I'm just wary as I got pg when DS was 9mo and DD is now... 9mo! Touch wood the bf will provide effective contraception.

hopefully you look fab in the Davina, super figure!

bloss are your espadrilles the office ones? I think I have the same!

decameron glad the boots are good, I love mine!

Hopefully · 17/04/2012 20:42

Amber definitely don't rely solely on BF as contraception once DCs are on solids, and ideally not beyond about 4 months. Not at all reliable! My periods came back around 8-9 months both times I think.
