thought i ought to do a public service and announce it properly as hardly anyone seems to know you can buy this stuff to use at home - and it works out sooo much cheaper than having it done at a salon even tho it's the exact same stuff.

i've only used it once so far (for 3 mins) but have been properly amazed by the results - as i posted on another thread, my 11s have reduced by 50% [holy grail] and my skin generally looks brighter and more even.

you do it weekly, building up the time over 6 weeks and then have a break.

don't forget to get the neutraliser (apparently just bicarb but maybe has crushed fairies' castles in it too so your choice) and use sun block in the day.

is anyone using the Bravura 30% or 50% Lactic Acid? am debating between this and the Glycolic, currently using the Salicylic

Yes I did , but they seem more noticeable now!! I don't mind them!

I didn't have any, might buy some. The water was ok, I just didn't sizzle .

I can see any difference to be honest. Though I've been ill for some months and look like shit anyway.

So yesterday I went in the steam room at the gym and despit only doing the first one 4 days ago it seemed like a good idea to do another .

Today my skin looks amazing, I applied oodles of coconut oils after I have one red flaky bit near my nose, I only did 4 mins but I'm really pleased, it's all glowy

re the steam room - Snakey ( if I may be so bold ) do you mean that you did it immediately after the steam room? I used to have a home face-steamer - no idea where it is now - does it help to steam first...?

When I got home, I exfoliated in the shower after the steam room and my skin felt all shiney and squeaky so it seemed like a good time.

I think it says in the pack, for best results to wash face with water a couple of hours before and not apply anything.

Did 6mins GA 30%. Pores practically disappeared and fine lines greatly reduced. All nice and shiny and smooth. But I can't shift this bloody Chloasma/brown pigmentation/gravy mask.....

i'm just thinking about my second course but haven't decided what to use. i'm not keen on the peeling that seems to happen with SA. i don't actually feel like i 'need' to another peel but really want to fit a course in before the summer when i'll give it a rest.

am wondering about 50% GA poss.

I did 6mins yesterday of the 30% and to be honest I really don't see much difference. I've also had no redness or flakiness - feel like I'm missing out somehow!
I've just ordered the 50% which apparently is stronger not only because of the extra 20% but it's also a lower PH? Now wished I'd taken physics at school! Ticker tape cars didn't make any sense, if they put it into the real world like this I'd have jumped at it!

Just not sure how long to leave the first one on for....till I can't take any more?!

3 weeks ago: 30% GA peel for 3 mins. ( year old GA) Frazzled face and blisters nose.

Last week: 20% SA/mandelic for 3 mins. Skin looked a bit clearer bit nothing to shout about.

Yesterday: 20% SA/mandelic on nose. 30% GA onrest of face. 4 mins. Looked nice and clean and shiny.

Today: 30% GA for 6 mins. Pores gone!! Fine lines almost gone. 11s reduced.

DH just came home from work looked at me and said "you look really fit" and then eyed me suspiciously and said "why do you look so fit" probably wondering how much whatever it is has cost him. That article miss foodie linked to had some amazing photos of results from deep chemical peels , you know the heavy duty even more than SATC ones. In the pics they have a naso gastric tube in ffs But the difference it made is quite astonishing!

4th SA 10% peel done 5mins.

After I'd finished peeling I went to get the tweezerman thingymajig to squeeze blackheads on my nose and there wasn't any! I will post some more pics in a few days. Feel a bit of dread about only having 2 peels left of this course. How many courses are you all planning on doing? Can you continue indefinately as long as you have a 2 week break after every 6 peels?
